Hello, when changing from ArrowOs 11 to 12, the standard kernel should be restored or does it not matter when flashing the new version (A12)?

A few days ago came the firmware update 12.5.5.0 for surya. But I read reviews where some users claim the ROM works better in firmware version 12.5.1.0 over any other version. It's recommended downgrade to 12.5.1.0?

Noticed an issue with the newest update with my Gamesir X2 Bluetooth model. Ever since the update, if the phone sits completely inside the gamepad, there'll be heaps of ghost touching happening. However if the phone sits not entirely inside (a smidge above the base of the gamepad), then it's completely fine. Not sure if it has anything to do with the camera part/proximity sensors?

But is the same using spootify to test my local music, until I clear the apps. After I clear the apps the same songs are just fine until 10-15 min

Can someone tell me what are these daily updates that are eating up my mobile data. I gave my phone to my mom and she barely uses it but somehow it ate up 2 gb of her data in a few days.
There aren't any daily updates. The last update was over a month ago, it's been this way for a while now, and even back when this was the latest Arrow rom it wasn't daily. Also you can disable the automatic check in the updater. That is if the problems are related to that at all.
yeah its weird, i checked on the mobile app usage. and in the last ten days it says under system updates 2gb used. i reset last night and for just this morning it used 100 mb. I i never noticed anything because i was on an unlimited plan.

Stupid question, but do you use WhatsApp or such like? These do a daily online backup.
Yeah she does, i checked and it is all set up to backup on wifi. Along with Google play store updates. I turned off all internet access except to Whatsapp, Gmail, messages and google services
The smart charging is nice, but it interferes with type-C earphones. I have to turn it off to use my typc-C earphones
Try battery charge limit instead and keep smart charge off. The app does the same thing, if you're rooted of course, but no idea if it will also interfere.
Funny thing is, the earphones are dead. I am not sure if this is relevant, but when I plugged in the earphones, the phone showed options to recognise them as a USB device (before I turned off smart charging). Since the earphones didn't work, I tried the option to charge them. It still didn't work. After that I remember the smart charging thing, so I turned it off and restarted the phone.
The earphones worked after the restart, but only intermittently. After 30 min, they stopped working. Maybe the option to charge USB killed the earphones? Because they worked pretty well until I charged them (they are just normal wired earphones)
I don't know if there is any protection in place to prevent such a thing, and if there is, how it's implemented and if it's implemented properly. Assuming the protection is nonexistent or not implemented, I still don't know what that would do to the earbuds. I guess it's best to just try another known working pair, or maybe get the 3.5mm ones since the phone has a jack. That would solve both of your problems unless for some reason you prefer not to do that.
Haha don't worry mate. Thanks for the advice tho. I am just stating what happened to me so you guys can be aware next time using type-C earphones. It might be that the earphones are just faulty, but who knows? Better be careful
Can anyone tell me how to go back to stock? I am a little out of practice and dont want to screw something up.

big difference ; i could use sideload to get the rom zip on my f2 but that is missing from the x3 twrp.
is there another ( fastboot ) command to flash the zip ?
xiaomifastboottools can flash the twrp file but not the zip if i'm right...

Note: These are enforcing builds. Safety net checks pass out of the box! No need to flash magisk modules, which might in turn break the integrity!
Builds have been unified now under surya codename for both NFC and non-NFC variants
Tip: Select OEM -> Device,choose Arrow version, choose build type: "GAPPS" or "VANILLA" to download.
Latest Instructions for OSS builds (w.e.f 10/05/2021)
If migrating from pre OSS builds- Flash the latest available MIUI 11 firmware. (Flash global or any if you can't find your region)
- Download and copy arrow build to a OTG prendrive or sd card.
- Now flash Arrow Vanilla/Gapps build.
- FORMAT DATA. (You'll loose all your data!)
- Reboot.
Fresh install coming from MIUITWRP Recovery by @brigudav :- Flash latest available MIUI 11 if you aren't on it already.
- Install any suitable recovery (mentioned below).
- Download and copy arrow build to a OTG prendrive or sd card.
- Flash latest Arrow Vanilla/Gapps build.
- FORMAT DATA. (You'll loose all your data!)
- Reboot.
Note: This build of twrp will support decryption on ArrowOS OSS builds.

1. My WiFi, bluetooth and network aren't working after updating to OSS build?
A. This happens if you're still on the old Q firmware. Flash the latest available R firmware and then follow the above give steps to properly flash the rom.
2. Unable to update OTA's using TWRP?
A. The current available recoveries are outdated and are no longer supported for OSS builds. To have a hassle free OTA experience use the above mentioned ArrowOS recovery.A. Two of the currently supported recoveries are mentioned above.

Last Updated 2021-05-181614So i haven't been around here for a while, after looking at the recent posts many seem to be confused, blaming and do not understand on migrating to OSS builds. In the final MIUI vendor builds the OTA functionality was blocked in order to prevent users from directly updating to OSS builds as it will be needing a MIUI 11 firmware followed by a clean flash. The same has been notified in our device changelogs. Every step and preventive measures have been taken, there's only much i can do from my side in clearing things up. We have this forum and community in place to help each other out, so lets not be pointing fingers here!
Here again i would like to make it clear with a simple guide on how to migrate onto OSS build!
Note: This update will require a CLEAN FLASH (format data), so please backup everything beforehand.
- Flash the latest available MIUI 11 firmware. (Region doesn't matter!!)
- Now flash Arrow Vanilla/Gapps build.
- FORMAT DATA. (You'll loose all your data!)
- Reboot.
13Here are the instructions on how you should flash the new OSS Vendor ROM since most people here are confused:
- Flash latest TWRP by brigudav
- Flash Android 11 12.0.7 MIUI firmware
- Reboot recovery
- Format Data
- Reboot recovery
- Flash ArrowOS
OPTIONAL:
- Flash Magisk
- Flash Gapps (If you're on Vanilla build & If you want custom gapps)
- Reboot system

This firmware is for NFC model as I'm not sure where is A11 firmware for non-NFC model. It can possibly work for non-NFC model, feel free to try.10
To everyone, please STOP this misconception about having the need to flash magisk in order to pass safety net. Do read the OP I've clearly mentioned there's no need of a magisk or modules for safety net. Device is certified and passes safety net out of the box without need of any modifications.
By improper usage of magisk and mods you're further complicating and breaking things when they're completely unnecessary which end up causing unrelated issues which you end up calling them rom source bugs ¯\(◉‿◉)/¯
P.S : I'm not against magisk, but when you do prefer using modifications do ask yourself on your needs and if you're able to rectify the issues it might generate. Isolate yourself from magisk or any form of modifications to recheck and confirm the issue before making a bug report.
