Nope, logs do not include any personal data / identifers

Again, logs would be very helpful to know what's going on. Please use the AICP extras app, there's an option to capture logs and just attach them here.

@fela4: I tried to use AICP extra app but I could not find the option to create a logcat.
I scrolled everywhere in that app but nothing.
Is there any other way to create alogcat ?
I'm using the german settings.

You'll find it in Settings - Search bar (on the top of settings "Einstellungen durchsuchen") when you type in "Logs".
You'll get "Logs erstellen" as result.
But at least for, starting a log always force close.
Of course you can also use an app from Playstore, like CatLog or MatLog.

Likely because you've not granted the app super user permission. The other alternative is to used ADB , This will be helpful

@fela4: You're right. No superuser, no root. But ADB worked.
Error: Hotspot switches off after 2-3 sec.

a new release is out. A bit disappointing as all my widgets and shortcuts are gone. Again. What a bad thing considering the experience.

The hotspot issue is also still there.

All in all I see no need to install this Update.

Hello, thanks for your work on this project. Unfortunately I am having an issue with the SIM not being recognized. It says emergency only on both AICP and Lineage.

Stock ROM does recognize the SIM and is able to make calls (I have been back and forth a few times between operating systems). Could someone please provide some insight if possible?

Hi, I've been testing this ROM for some weeks and it's quite good but it has some annoying bugs:

• When the "Screen Lock" is set to "None" and the screen turns off after the defined idle timeout, the screen turns on again itself after 4 seconds and that cycle continues forever.
• When Wifi Hotspot Tethering is enabled, it disables itself after some seconds, failing to activate.
• After an update the configured home screen app shortcuts & widgets disappear and revert to its default settings.

The lock screen issue generates this line in logcat that seems related to AOD for some reason:
PowerManagerService: Waking up from Dozing (uid=10256, reason=WAKE_REASON_GESTURE, details=com.android.systemui:BOUNCER_DOZING)...

I couldn't find the reason why wifi hotspot refuses to activate. The relevant logcat lines may be:
hostapd : Removing interface wlan0 failed HostapdHal: IHostapd.removeAccessPoint failed: 1, WifiNative: Failed to remove access point on Iface:{Name=wlan0,Id=2,Type=AP} hostapd : Terminating...

Tested with the lastest aicp_m8_r-16.1-WEEKLY-20211031.zip using only open_gapps nano, no rooting or other modifications.

Has anybody had issues with connecting to a hotspot? For some reason the phone recognizes the hotspot but it will not connect.
