Big thanks @karthick mostwanted this update seems to have fixed all my previous issues with this rom.

All but the one where I have to restart every morning to get face and fingerprint unlock to work.

Same problem here. In my case it is a bug with smartlock feature, and my Bluetooth watch. After disable smartlock, no problem with fingerprint.

No, jailbreaking breaks that really. HDR was working in 17.1 but is not yet working here.

It seems that the problem of the maximum number of face and fingerprint authentications at the start of use every morning is unsolved.
We have all smart locks turned off. It doesn't seem to be relevant.

I also tried rooting to automate the reboot,
With all of magisk v20.3, v20.4, v21.1, Canary (magisk-debug.zip)
Did not boot in a boot loop.

Do you have any ideas for rooting?

Android Auto is not working anymore in my car since installing LOS 18.
My car can use AA wired but not the wireless one as it's missing wifi.

I uninstalled the AA app (com.google.android.projection.gearhead) and removed my bluetooth association.
The bluetooth connection is working and I can cast music or use the phone from my car outside AA.
When I plug my phone, it displays the message saying (screen capture in French attached):
Android Open Automotive Protocol,
No compatible app with your USB device installed.

Then it sends me to https://www.android.com/

I install AA com.google.android.projection.gearhead
When I plug my phone to my car, same message from my phone, I can launch AA on the phone but I can't connect to the car.
On the car screen, I have a message saying (picture in French attached):
Multimedia device not supported

I remember having problems with AA when first installing LOS 17.1, first it was making the phone unresponsive and it had to be rebooted.
Then it was working, but it was slowing the phone a lot. That last problem was corrected with an update of LOS fixing a cast issue.

Edit2: after a reboot of my phone, when I plug it to my car, it tries to launch AA but I have a transparent screen displayed, invisible but that intercepts finger touches. I still can't add my car in AA.

Edit3: I'm back to v17.1 as AA is mandatory for me

hello. I also want to roll back to 17.1 for Android Auto. How did u do it ? can i install 17.1 with orange fox or should i first install twrp with orangefox and then flash with twrp. kindly tell. Thanks

I also don't seem to be able to open settings -> system. Any other Settings menu works but system just closes to the desktop, sometimes with a message that the settings app has stopped working.

@cyphone, did you successfully installed Magisk v21.1 on our device? I've tried it but I got into a bootloop. I only can install Magisk v21, immediately after installing Magisk Canary Debug.

Hi folks,
first post and I need your help.
I tried to install Lineage OS 17.1 and have been stuck in the boot animation for almost an hour now - I know this is about LOS 18 but the other thread is closed.
I followed this guide: https://giffgaff.davwheat.dev/realme/x2-pro
Coming from a Realme 1.0 Android 10 c.34 global. Did the in-depth testing, unlocked the bootloader successfully, flashed Orangefox 10.1_5 and vbmeta, no problems so far.

I then flashed the latest LOS 17.1 (lineage-17.1-20201214-UNOFFICIAL-RMX1931.zip), then NikGapps, formatted the data, wiped calvik and cache and rebooted. Now i am stuck in the boot animation.

Any ideas?
I noticed the later updates of this rom included the vendor, did I neglect this in my procedure?

Nevermind, had to force stop the booting (power + vol up), then simply restarted it and after another 5min of booting it started up normally and runs just fine. Unfortunately, this didn't solve my problems with usb otg, my device is simply not detected (just like with Realme UI) but I guess this is a hardware problem

Thanks but yes, I checked that. It didn't make a difference (neither did it in Realme UI). I also tried different standard usb-settings in the developer options, different app related battery settings, app permissions and at last the custom rom...
off-topic: The producer of my usb device mentions that most Huawei devices do not work with it because they "have a technical issue with the usb system" (don't know what they mean exactly)- maybe this also applies to the X2 Pro.

That's really strange. USB literally stands for Universal Standard Bus, so if a manufacturer says that it doesn't work with a particular brand, I can only guess that he's talking about the format of the drive. Did you try formatting your USB drive to different format like FAT32 or maybe even resizing the partition to something like 1GB just to test it out? Also check to see that your USB drive doesn't have any "hidden" partitions that have been put there by the manufacturer of the USB drive. I recommend EasyUS partition master free edition to remove all partitions and create 1 single partition of 1GB in FAT32 for testing purposes. I do not have an adapter to test it out on Realme UI, but I will try to find one and let you know if this is a Realme thing or just your USB drive thing.

Hi Zahid, what is too much battery being consumed? How long does your phone last on a single charge? What is the battery usage % of your apps? I'm back to Realme UI at the moment, but I didn't have any drain issues even on LOS 18. Here are some screenshots of my battery usage. Compare it with yours usage and see if something sticks out. Also, how old is your device? Are you the first owner? If yes, did you have this issue on Realme UI too or does this issue occur only on LOS 18?
