AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX experience with useful customizations. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth experience. We have added useful customizations from various other open-source projects and have tried to keep our things simple. A ROM by a user, for a user. #BeExtended

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

-How do I root this ROM?
->We recommend Magisk

-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.

-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps and BitGappps

-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in the beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.

-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.

-Adaway is not working :(
->Download it from here Adaway

-SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.

    WI-FI network configuration ...

    I am currently unable to connect to my company wi-fi network: using my usual phone (Redmi Note 7 - MIUI 12) I can select PEAP / No phase 2: None

    but with AEX I must select (I think) a Phase 2 and I am stuck ....

    What am I missing in the process?

    Thx,

    Hello.

    What is the difference between the unofficial version of Telegram and the official one? I see that they are from the same day and it generates doubts.

    Thank you very much for continuing to maintain the phone.

    A cordial greeting.

    I can confirm that, in spite of the fact that my testing has been very limited, the rom seems almost fine and smooth. Also the problem with the OTA updater has been solved with the latest build.
    The only severe issue I'm experiencing is with GPS, not working at all, not fixing at all. Clean flash from the latest global stable so there are no issues in that regard for sure. Great work anyway.

    I can confirm that I've just installed LOS 18.1 (still clean flash coming from the latest Oreo global stable) and the GPS isn't working there neither (in spite of the fact that in the first post it is reported as working).
    I don't know what to think given that on MIUI the GPS is working just fine but I'm starting to fear mine could be a false issue reported and eventually I apologise.

    First days using AOSP Extended ROM on my side and I have to say it's pretty smooth. I had a GPS which was completely out of service with my previous MIUI firmware, problem that led me to look for another firmware. I thought it was a software issue and not hardware and I was right. Now the GPS is working fine and I feel like having a brand new phone with AOSP Extended installed. Battery lasts a bit longer, OS looks faster (maybe just because it's a fresh install ?) and it feels nice to have all features of Android 11 with some extra customization adjustments.

    There are two things I regret from my previous MIUI ROM :

    - The scheduled power on/off feature that would make the phone turn on in case an alarm was set to a specific time. It was pretty cool and I wondered if there was any way to have it or an app/extension that would add this functionnality back ? But I believe that's pretty difficult if that's not directly implemented in the OS ?

    - The possibility to define specific colors for the LED indicator according to notification types. For instance, I had dark blue for mails, clear blue for Skype, pink for calls and green for text messages. This function would let you know pretty fast the importance of the notification without having to turn the screen on. Any way to do this with a module or something ?

    In such a short hindsight, I can't mention any other missing feature or problem. Overally, that's a very nice ROM. Thanks for your work ! ;)
