Hi there, first of all, great ROM, I came to it from Pixel Experience and so far like it more. I've installed the 8.5 version.
That being said, for some reason the battery drainage is way too strong. When I installed the ROM, I had about 98% and about 20 minutes later, after downloading about 10 apps through wi-fi, I have only 67%, no idea that something like that drain the battery like this.
I've read somewhere that some ROMs can do that and flashing the kernel might be answer. Does anybody have the same experience?

[b] AospExtended v8.0 Changelog
- Initial release with March 2021 patches (Tag:11.0.0_r32)
A clean flash is always recommended. Bug reports are not appreciated if not clean flashed.
Remove any kind of security PINs/Password and Fingerprints before flashing this build.
If you want any bug to be fixed please write here on xda in detail. Give Logcats, mention your device name, mention if any mods and kernels, if used and please be specific about it. By helping us, you are helping yourself too.
-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.
-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Google killed Substratum support in Pie. You can use it, however, you need to be rooted. We don't support rootless Substratum.
-Which Gapps are recommended?
->OpenGapps and BitGappps
-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in the beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.
-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.
-Adaway is not working
->Download it from here Adaway
-SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.

XDA:DevDB Information AospExtended, ROM for the Xiaomi Mi 5
First days using AOSP Extended ROM on my side and I have to say it's pretty smooth. I had a GPS which was completely out of service with my previous MIUI firmware, problem that led me to look for another firmware. I thought it was a software issue and not hardware and I was right. Now the GPS is working fine and I feel like having a brand new phone with AOSP Extended installed. Battery lasts a bit longer, OS looks faster (maybe just because it's a fresh install ?) and it feels nice to have all features of Android 11 with some extra customization adjustments.
There are two things I regret from my previous MIUI ROM :
- The scheduled power on/off feature that would make the phone turn on in case an alarm was set to a specific time. It was pretty cool and I wondered if there was any way to have it or an app/extension that would add this functionnality back ? But I believe that's pretty difficult if that's not directly implemented in the OS ?
- The possibility to define specific colors for the LED indicator according to notification types. For instance, I had dark blue for mails, clear blue for Skype, pink for calls and green for text messages. This function would let you know pretty fast the importance of the notification without having to turn the screen on. Any way to do this with a module or something ?
In such a short hindsight, I can't mention any other missing feature or problem. Overally, that's a very nice ROM. Thanks for your work !
