So I decided to game for the first time since flashing this ROM and the phone gets too hot while I was gaming for just about 10 minutes. I was playing Minecraft by the way. Maybe if the Thermal Profiles feature can help if it gets implemented.

And battery was okay the first few days and I was expecting it to get better as the OS understands my usage pattern but no. It gets worse. I only browse Facebook, Chrome, and read emails on my phone. I also watch a bit of YouTube.

I hope the next update improves this.

I still like the ROM overall. Still a smooth experience overall. Thanks OP!

Where is the OTA package located?

EDIT: Odd. After downloading the OTA I hit Install button and there's a modal telling me about the update process and it told me that the update packages is in /data/system_updates

Instead of hitting OK, I decided to take a peak first. I went to /data/system_updates but the package was not there. I check /data/ota as well as /data/ota_package but it's not there either.

I then decided to go back to Settings > Additional Settings > Updates and then the update I downloaded disappeared and it's asking me to download the OTA again.

Anyway, I'll just download the update package in my PC instead.

I got stuck in a bootloop after flashing the nogapps package via OFox. Oh well, time to do a fresh install instead.

Did a fresh install.

1. Flashed 12.0.1.0.R (stock) via Recovery
2. Format data > yes > Reboot recovery
2. Flashed AEX (nogapps)
3. Reboot recovery
4. Flashed FlameGapps Basic (also tried MindTheGapps)
5. Reboot system
6. Got stuck after boot (Android Setup forced closed)

So I had to settle with the AEX with gapps.

If the recovery fails to apply the ota on itw own we can check data folder on the system (not internal/external storage) i legit checked it and made sure it was present there! its okey! maybe you checked wrong..?
manual update does the job too anyways! lol

Hi @OGHyperion
First of all, thank you for this amazing and smooth ROM. However, I have issues with the camera. It has a green tint.
Using GCam fixes the photo problem, but it can't record videos. the app just shows a black screen.
I also tried ANXCamera, the photo works fine (the green tint is there), and when I switch to video mode, it'll just hang forever.
Is this a known issue, or is there a fix?

hmm.... this is really weird..
ever since we're official all camera related issues were fixes
i personally tested ANX/ GCAM by BSG/ Stock Snap/ and even OpenCamera
all were working fine and is still working fine here..
have you installed any mods?

If you're talking about camera-related mods, no, I didn't install any.
May I know what firmware are you on? Maybe switching it will do something. I'm currently at 12.0.1.0 global beta RJGMIXM

I can also provide logs if requested, thank you

Will try that one, thank you very much!

Edit: I downloaded and flashed 12.0.8.0 EU firmware. The green tint is fixed, but video recording is still broken on ANX and GCam. Oh well, I guess I gotta live with stock camera app for now.

HI..
Try this

ANX By Noid - Full Version modded for R

ZIP Name:
ANXCameraUnity_185R.SaltyIntelligentPlainsqueaker.zip

I can't post direct link here as it is pling.. check here for this camera

I can confirm that video recording is fine on this version by noid..
Also, I Use BSG GCam port and Arnova's one.. both have video recording working..
Please try that too!

Hi, I've installed and tried all the options you mentioned. The best working case is the BSG's GCam 8.1 premium, everything works well, but the green tint on video recording is still there. Nevertheless, this is an amazing ROM, thank you very much!

    From today 22/07/2021 All Vanilla Builds of AEX will be encrypted!
    1
    After a fresh install I'm still getting a Android Setup keeps closing popup. This always happens when I flash the vanilla builds. I wonder why.
    1
    Of course I did. But even if I didn't, it shouldn't be force closing because Android Setup is different from Google Setup. AOSP has Android Setup. Which is what's supposed to be in the vanilla build.
    I think you should flash A11 firmware. It helped me with this problem on CrDroid

    I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

    -Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
    ->The updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

    -How do I root this ROM?
    ->We recommend Magisk

    -Which Gapps are recommended?
    ->OpenGApps and NikGApps

    -Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
    ->No.

    -When Will Be the Next Update?
    ->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with the latest security patches and new features.

    -Adaway is not working :(
    ->Download it from here Adaway

    -SElinux Linux mode changer app is not working nor Busy Box installer app is working.
    ->Everything is good with the sources. You should try other things first and then contact your maintainer.

    i tried installing this rom but keep getting updater failed error 1 on twrp so had revert back to Pixel Experience

    Ah lemme explain
    PEX Comes with fw in it whereas AEX does not. So... what you wanna do now is:-
    * flash MIUI A10 Fatboot ROM (Without Relocking obvsly)
    * Flash recovery..
    * format
    * flash miui a11 fw
    * and flash AEX ROM

    This is a one time process (Until and unless you flash PEX again)

    Hope this helps!
