I agree, I discovered the same with this ROM, It never goes in to deep sleep mode
I captured the below image from ANX camera in this ROM and when you zoom in, you can see slight dizzyness.. is that normal or i need to make some changes to settings ?I'm testing the latest 8.6 version 2 days already.
No problems or any bugs discovered!
The battery life is GOOD!
But the MOST IMPORTANT for me is the custom ANX Camera with this new config from MIUI 12.5.8!
2 days ago I flashed the latest 8.6 version of the AOSPExtended ROM because in the Change log I red this two lines:
- Add miui camera port (A Lighter verison of ANXcam)
- Update s5kgw3 camera configs from MIUI v220.127.116.11 RKFINXM
Finally, the ANX Camera receives and uses the special configuration made for our Phone Camera!!!
This custom ANX version + the s5kgw3 camera configs from MIUI v18.104.22.168 are making this Camera with the best quality and sharp details - compared to other ANX Camera versions or even MIUI stock camera!
For the last few weeks I'm testing and comparing the best quality GCam mods, looking for the best one.
I'm comparing them with the MIUI Camera and when using AOSP based ROM with the ANX Camera.
I have made probably 1 000 or more photos looking for the best camera for our phone.
The best quality GCam for our phone is the BSG PV4 GCam MOD & GCam conf & GCam Lib
You can get all them from my signature below this post.
More information and many photos from the tests you can find in the Gcam Discussion Thread in our forum here.
After this 2 days of tests I can say that the ANX Camera in the latest AOSPExtended ROM v8.6 have equal or even better details than the stock MIUI camera!!!
It's detail level is so good that it is close to the results from the best GCam mod for our phone: BSG mod PV4 version 8.1 with a custom Lib. You can get them from my signature or from the link here: GCam MOD & GCam conf & GCam Lib
As I can see the s5kgw3 camera configs from MIUI v22.214.171.124 have been implemented in some other AOSP ROMs, but I haven't tested them.
I'm petty happy with AOSPExtended and I'm NO MORE stuck in the debloated MIUI Rom which I used because the stock Camera quality!
Thank you and Good Luck!
I've inactive on XDA for a month. Sorry for late/missed replies..I agree, I discovered the same with this ROM, It never goes in to deep sleep mode
I flashed Lineage OS in order to test how is the quality of the Anx Camera included there and there at night the device is always in deep sleep mode, using the same apps installed with the same configuration.
You can flash larger gapps package for that...
What gapps can I flash? Can i dirty flash it?
Hello, I didn't see this ROM updated since Sep, so I would suggest to use another ROM like crDroid, it is VERY stable with perfect amount of customization, and MIUI Camera works PERFECTLY in the latest build (7.12).I'm on 8.6, but not latest one. I installed in september, I didn't update since and I didn't download latest build. I do get some notifications that there is a new build, but I didn't react to it. I'm German, sorry for the screenshot language.
I experienced very weird behaviour since few days. Battery drain is extremely high. I got the message that my data volume (4GB) will be used up soon. I never got this message, usually I use 1-2GB per month.
So I checked data usage and on top there is something called "Systemupdates" (Screenshot 1). This wasn't available at all in the last month (Screenshot 2). When I tap on it, I can't do anyhting (Screenshot 3). When I search the app, I can only find one called "Systemaktualisierungen", which could be a translation of "system updates", but data usage is shown as 60 KB.
I don't get it, since I didn't update recently.
Has anyone else experienced such behaviour?
I would appreciate any help or hint. Thank you!
Thank you for your response. This could solve my problem, but I'm not sure whether this issue is really ROM related. Since I didn't update, this issue might be related to something else. And so far, I like this ROM, hadn't any other problem for months.Hello, I didn't see this ROM updated since Sep, so I would suggest to use another ROM like crDroid, it is VERY stable with perfect amount of customization, and MIUI Camera works PERFECTLY in the latest build (7.12).
Battery perf. is really good, plus you have the option to limit the charge limit to a custom value to preserve battery life.
