CHANGELOGS:

1. Fixed brightness related issues while on screen timeout dimming

3. Switched to rui1 thermal in rom side & kernel side
4. Boot time improvements
5. Supports 24bit playback maybe?

Guys after almost 1.5 years, I updated the firmware, ROM & put the latest Orangefox recovery (Followed all steps in #401 )

The phone was working perfectly for one day.
Today, the phone began acting weird (Apps were not opening when tapped )- so I tried to reboot the phone.
Now I get kicked back to OrangeFox recovery.
In Orangefox I get : "unable to mount storage", Failed to decrypt data"
Internal storage shows 0mb

@Karthick Chandran Any help would be appreciated- as this is actually someone else's phone

Had to flash 6.0 recovery for Orangefox, not 7.0.
But every day or so, I have to restart the phone as some apps won't open. Is this a known bug?

Same problem here, everything seems to work until reboot to recovery for the first time.
Ofox didn't decrypt data partition, and stuck in recovery forever, no way to boot system again.

Tried TWRP-3.6 / Ofox-R11.0_6 / Ofox-R11.0_7 no way to fix it...

I'm on the latest 18.1 and not having any issue.
I'm experiencing 4% drop every 10-12 minutes. When i was on stock i didn't have any issue like this. Tested with clean Rom, just to check if the issue was because of an app, but either with apps or not, the problem insists. The biggest example is when i go to my job, same routine everyday, i leave home, i arrive after 45 minutes, connected to bluetooth and music playing, when i was on stock, from 100% i arrived at my job with 98-99%, and now, with the same usage, i have 86-87% battery left, which is extra 10% drop. Is there another kernel that work with this Rom without problems, so i can test? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, on the stock UI 2.0 my smartphone worked a little longer, but not significantly.
Now I'm on the latest 18.1 and NikGApps Stock without Pixel Launcher and some other apps.
I'm always using BT 5.0 headset, but not using "Location". After a full charge, I don't have such a rapid battery drain when listening to something through the headset for 40 minutes. I charge my smartphone about every one and a half or two days. I do not think that there is any special kernel for our smartphone.

Could be the GApps, as i read on the 19.0 thread, where they also experience battery drain. I see that NikGApps has a newer version. I'll try and test again, how it'll go tomorrow and the next 3-4 days.

FYI, the battery drain I had, was cause of the GApps. I installed the latest NikGapps (full version, cause that's what I need) and it's ok now.

Can you just reflash the newest NikGapps zip or do you need a reinstallation of the OS as well?
I did a clean reinstallation cause the device went on bootloop and because I had a very old package of Gapps and not very sure they were NikGapps.. I tried a dirty flash in the beginning. But I don't think there will be a problem if you flash the same Gapps (e.g NikGapps) and not from another developer.

Always take a backup before every test and be prepared for anything. For some reason I even hard bricked my device when I formatted from OrangeFox Recovery. I even figured out that the latest version of OrangeFox (.7) doesn't work correctly. I did my job with the recovery and vbmeta provided on post #401 and did the whole procedure from there (Method 2, with flashing F14 -firmware only file- first).

This is might be the dumbest question, but can you flash Global firmware on a CN variant?
Does the Global variant & CN variant consist of different hardware, or why would it be a problem?

Method 2 worked for me, kind of - there is some confusion as to what he means by saying "Format (not wipe)", so I formatted using fastboot, as the alternative method suggested, but that broke it. After trial and error, I managed to get into Lineage18.1.

The battery drain issue has been solved with the latest ver of NikApps "NikGapps-core-arm64-10-20220413-signed.zip".

But NOW some apps are constantly throwing the following notification message "<AppName> won't run without Google Play services which are missing from your device" (it is installed and updated btw). I installed Google Services Framework 11-6684105 and that solved the issue.
