Hello.
Is there a way to change the carrier settings somehow to make wifi calling work for vodafone uk?
It works with other operators, also the service is active on my sim.
Sim slot 0 no option at all,
Sim slot 1 wifi calling option is present, but no preference between network or wifi , no volte option and its not working

On radio info wificalling is provisioned, the rest no -just on sim slot 1, nothing is provisioned in sim slot 0 ( same sim card)

Thank you

Hey guys,

just to make sure: is NFC (Google Pay) working in the current build? It was reported as broken in some posts but not (anymore?) in OP?

If yes: is Magisk needed to make it work?

I would like to make the switch from MIUI but working GPay and other banking apps like N26 are essential for me...

I can use NFC just fine in latest build. Had to use MagiskHide and some other stuff so my bank's app allowed me to use wireless payment and so on, but it does work.

Only thing that doesn't work for me is 'Hey Google' as some other user mentioned recently. Other minor inconveniences are some visual bugs in lock screen (very rarely though). Everything else works great.

Also, if you're used to MIUI camera app, you'll be a bit disappointed. It's one of the few things that I miss about it, even if you use GCAM it doesn't feel the same.

In 'DerpQuest' settings > System/Misc > General Notifications > Edge Lighting ...

The option for Only Show Light Pulse will not stay toggled on no matter what I do. Any idea what's going on?

AOD in general on Android seems like a car crash. I don't want to see the clock, I just want to see if I have a notification or not 😐

Another problem I have found is that voice recording with WhatsApp, Telegram etc volume is incredibly low and muffled but when using ANX /GCam this isn't a problem. Leads me to believe there is a config issue (Mixer?) as this is not a hardware issue.

I have no problem at all and nobody else reported anything similar..which leads me to conclusion that its your individual issue. Clean flash - format --} enjoy

Yes they have. Check #69. It does also happen to me, but I don't really give it much attention since I don't really record voice notes or else.

Been using it for around 2 months or so. A small update to fix some of these minor issues or some news about Derpfest in Android 12 are missed, though.

This is not true and a wipe didn't fix it (Already tried) sadly. I am not the only one with this problem as has been reported in this thread and I guess it's such a small problem nobody has bothered to make a fuss about it.

I have had a look in mixer path XML as the problem may lie in here somewhere (But I don't know enough to fix it myself) as when using the camera to record (ANX) it's fine but NOT when recording voice.

Can you confirm you really have no issues when using Telegram or WhatsApp voice? As that's the ones that I have tested and it literally sounds like I've got a fish bowl on my head.

Thank you

Hi guys,
I have a SEVERE problem.
Not sure it is related to DerpFest ROM.
Here's the problem : when someone calls me, the phone vibrates but there is NOTHING showing up so that I can take the call. So I just have to let it ring and then call back...

It did not happen in the first 2/3 weeks.
But now, it happens.
And, randomly, I get something that shows up and that allows to pick up the call.
So sometimes it works; soemtimes it does not :-(

Any idea ?

(I have already set another dialer as the default app but that does not change anything).

Regards.

Hey, so I'm loving DerpFest and there are practically zero bugs, but one big issue I found is that people have told me that they can hear themselves in regular calls, VoIP calls, and social media app (e.g. Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.) calls, especially on speaker mode (less noticeable on handset mode). I did some research and found out that this is a common issue with AOSP ROMs and Xiaomi dual mic phones, since the AOSP ROM does not correctly use the two mics for noise cancelling. Has anyone else experienced this on LOS, SSOS, DFOS, or any other AOSP ROMs on the Mi 11? I looked into editing /vendor/etc/sound_trigger_mixer_paths.xml as suggested in the Poco F1 echo fix XDA thread, but I don't think DEC7 and DEC8 are the correct dual mic IDs for this device. If any devs can figure this out, I'd be happy to buy you a 🍺 for your help in making AOSP truly perfect on this device with this one important fix.

    Change refresh rate to 90hz
Doesnt work for me still flickers on 90HZ

Edit Nevermind i had minimum still on 60hz putting all 3 on 90hz indeed stops the flickering.

Has any body been able to stop the screen flicker from grey to black. It's rather annoying every few seconds

I'm facing some issues with the Google Assistant, as it shows 'This feature is currently unavailable for this language" whenever I try to enable 'Hey Google and Voice match'.

My current device language is English (UK) altough I'm facing the same issue with Spanish (Spain). Any ideas?

Also, as other users have mentioned, I believe that the microphone volume is quite low (eg. Whatsapp voice notes)

Everything else works pretty good. It's a daily for me.

Hi guys! Finally I've managed to flash DerpFestOS. I used TWRP to change the slot and flash the ROM. Thanks for all the advices and help.
