The requirements indicate OOS 10.3.8. I am running the latest EU firmware for privacy reasons and it had less bloat. Are there any issues flashing to a GM1915 (T-mobile) that's been "converted" to an international running EU firmware (and as I type this I'm realizing just how far off the beaten path I've gone)?

It needs oos 11.0.1.1 I forgot to update the requirement after updating the blobs.
It would be fine ig to flash on T-Mobile.

hope its ok to ask you a question.
iv never been encrypted, so can you please tell me which OOS im supposed to be on and then how i can get a working twitter that will allow me to flash Derpfest? Is the only way thru payload dumper?

again sorry to bother to you, thanks
go with unecrypted, it's easier. twrp works and it's not complicated. follow the flashing instructions in the crdroid thread.

Disregard previous babbling. After some sleep things are working better...magisk and rom installed. Just trying to figure best method to flash twrp from the rom since "fastboot boot twrp.img" is hanging at fastboot logo.

If I turn off the encryption I assume I have to reconfigure/initial setup once again? Think I'll wait for the next time I screw something up.

I have installed this rom ALOT in the last 24 hours. It looks amazing but I am beyond tired of having to reconfigure it at startup. I got the rom installed but the updater said there was a newer version...I let it download and update then rebooted at which point it told me my data was corrupt and I would need to factory reset it. So I did that and even managed to get twrp installed via boot twrp.img (which is now hanging when I try it with the same file). I did various twrp backups during that but of course the factory resets wiped all that. I flashed magisk v21.zip and also let the Magisk apk flash v23...in both cases the data was corrupted. I understand the data is encrypted and I downloaded a file that claims it will unencrypt it if I am ever able to get into twrp again and I'll get to start over once again. [ no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip]

What is the proper procedure I should be following? I have bounced from thread to thread trying to get the order right but obviously it's been a long night and I am back to square 1. Please point me in the right direction....specifically how I can turn encryption off especially if it does not involve twrp since "fastboot boot twrp.img" is hanging on the fastboot icon (and fastboot is still available). Flashing twrp "ramdisk recovery" modifies the boot and then magisk tries to modify it again which it doesn't seem to like.
1. TWRP made by Nebrassy isn't supported yet. You have to wait for him to release a fbev2 version of it to use TWRP.

2. I would not encourage to decrypt yourself. However if you still wish to do it then follow the below steps.

* Dump the payload using a payload dumper to get boot.img from the rom.
* Go to fastboot and fastboot flash boot boot.img
* Now reboot to recovery.
* Tap on apply update and then adb sideload
* Use adb sideload to sideload the entire rom.
* Format data using the recovery within the rom.
* Sideload the DFe zip in the recovery.
* Now you can reboot the system and you should be decrypted.

Here I would like to reiterate the fact that TWRP isn't supported yet. The data corruption and all the issues were caused because you tried to flash TWRP.

Payload dumper. You can use any other as well.

And Same thing happens when trying to flash twrp decrypted, gets stuck at fastboot logo.
Aside from trying with payload dumper (OP directions), I couldn't get twrp installed, so I gave OrangeFox recovery a try and it worked enough to let me get this amazing rom installed. Of course, it was replaced with LOS recovery once the rom installed, so for now iv given up on Twrp and I simply adb side loaded magisk for root.
Btw I applied the most recent update with built-in ota updater and it worked with no problem.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. If it works with this rom, can you point me to LOS's recovery?

Ok I found it...duckduckgo to the rescue. Which nightly did you successfully boot?

I wasn't trying to install the rom via twrp...I already had that working. I wanted to be able to take backups. I've tried the 3 most recent los recovery nightlies and none boot for me.

Why is it so hard for you to follow instructions from post 1?

Why is it so hard for you to follow instructions from post 1?
What part of I ALREADY HAVE THE ROM INSTALLED using the instructions from post #1 isn't clear? I was unaware no TWRP was available for android 11 until someone responded to my post. They said they use Lineage OS Recovery and that is now what I'm trying to get details on. I am not trying to use it to install the rom. I want the ability to make BACKUPS. What part of that is in post #1? No where does it say "TWRP does not work with this rom AT ALL". If it had I wouldn't have had to ask.

Then I misunderstood you here.
Anyway for backups, you cannot make one using lineage recovery. You can use swift backup or other similar solution.

As for nandroid, wait till Nebrassy's releases fbev2 version of his twrp which would then work on this rom.

Also of you have installed the rom then just rebooting to recovery should have gotten you to lineage recovery. Since that is what I ship with.

And lastly, it isn't my job to "support" twrp. It isn't my fault that twrp didn't work. Nor it is my responsibility to write that part in the post 1 either.
There are devs trying to port a working twrp and should be out soon enough

Also an update to TWRP, the fbev2 version of TWRP from Nebrassy works fine on this rom

Thank you. I've installed the TWRP fbev2 version released today @ 3:27pm and it appears to work fine. The rom is very well done. About the only thing I can find to complain about is I'm only getting around 20 hours of battery life and since I installed the Dora kernel I'll have to wait till the next time version you release to see if it's to blame.

Unless I missed it you don't have a contribution method in your profile or Post #1 for Donations?

    Dear all,
It seems to me that some users here forgot how to post comments in a civil manner. Let's do this again: I have removed the off topic posts and feel free to post your comments to help OP and others on the development.

Please do remember our rules and be on topic in this thread. I know we all have many stress and problems in these crazy days, just calm down, take a deep breath, and think again before you want to vent out.

@npv12 OP, if you see any rude or name calling posts in future, report them. We will bring in bigger hammer to the party then. :)

If I understand it right the "signed with keys like stock" portion is kinda like a signed zip that that can only be updated by entering the password. If someone grabbed the derpfest release, extracted it and modified it with malware for example then repackaged it would no longer have the same key and an upgrade attempt would either fail or give you a warning with the option to override. Subject to correction by others.
I think it means that the ROM is signed with release keys and not with test keys, so that things like banking apps and stuff like that will work out of the box, no Magisk Hide needed

    Dear all,
It seems to me that some users here forgot how to post comments in a civil manner.

    Regards
