I've already reverted stock Android 9 and Android 10 by using MSM tool but no luck :( Now I currently use 11.0.1.1. It's said new update will fix it. I wait for it

Just an update on my L1->L3 issue after I updated to 11.0.1.1:

I updated to 11.0.2.1 hoping it would fix it per the release notes, but it did not. I've now fixed it on my device, at least. I have no idea what step or combination of steps actually took care of it, but I wanted to share here in case it helps someone directly or indirectly fix this issue. FWIW, I have a GM1917 running stock OOS 11.0.2.1 GM21AA and stock recovery, but rooted with Magisk.

Here are the exact steps I took:
  1. Disable and reenable biometric auth in Play Store
  2. Netflix wipe cache and data and then uninstall.
  3. Play Store wipe cache and data.
  4. Shut down for 2 min.
  5. Enter recovery to wipe cache then reboot.
  6. Go to DRM Info and wipe cache and data (meant to do this before reboot but I forgot)
  7. Load Play Store
  8. Load DRM Info and check status
My status is back to L1, and my battery life has been noticeably better on the new build. Unfortunately, my speakerphone mic is still basically useless, but I suppose it is possible that is a hardware issue on the used phone I bought, if no one else has experienced this problem.

Now that I'm L1 again, I think it is time to test out a little DerpFest action.

Hi there,

I installed the rom, but it cant unlock my simcard.
Its not possible after boot to enter my pin code (emerngency call's only)
If i remove the sim its possible to install the rom, when full installed i place te sim back.
the emerngency window from the sim pops back and cant use the phone :).
Any ideas why i have this problem?

Same problem here. Any ideas?

EDIT: I tried to downgrade to version from 5th of July, than update via OTA to version from 19th of July and SIM card worked, but if I want to install the newest version (OTA could not found it so I installed it from USB OTG) the SIM card problem is still the same and only emergency calls are possible.
I think I will be using version from 19th of July and simply wait for another OTA (if it will be another one of course)

I've clean flashed August 6th build, so far so good! A few features I'm missing:
  • QS panel columns/rows customization
  • Disabling QS panel and power menu on secure lockscreen
  • Disabling QS warning footer

Please update your OP on how to flash the latest version.
im coming straight from OOS 11 beta. he fastboot update zip name method didnt work.
If people cant install it, whats the point of all your hard work?
The method mentioned in the OP is the recommended method to flash and will work 100% and needs the minimum user input. There is no need to change it. You probably forgot to do something

Hey team just started having an issue out of the blue. Was on the latest download from SF all afternoon, probably 8 hours total. Randomly while watching YouTube SprintDM started crashing repeatedly. I went to app info to try and disable since I'm on Verizon, couldn't, so I force quit it, and every two minutes or so while watching YouTube it would pop up that it wasn't responding again, but this time it would pull me back to whatever app setting page I was on, live I'd used the multitask roulette to get there. Very odd. Rebooted a few times and it's been ok for a bit but wanted to provide feedback!

Got a post or quick explanation how to? Sorry for my ignorance, not sure how to, but would be happy to. Getting into bed it probably wouldn't be until tomorrow

By any chance, has anyone had a random screen fading out issue where it appears that the phone is off (black screen) and yet the only thing you can view is the power menu? And the only temporary fix for it is restarting and hoping it doesn't happen again?
Edit: I have pretty good beliefs that it's the system ui crashing. I restarted into safe mode, restarted the UI through the advanced restart menu and it caused a similar affect as what I was experiencing before, yet "Safe Mode" is still present in the bottom left of the screen.

enable adb and grab logs using adb logcat > log.txt.
Then upload the text file here or copy the contents to a bin like nekobin or katbin
Easy peasy - thanks for explaining! Hope this is helpful. I'm no dev - but I did see the thing in question a lot in the log, hopefully this points you to the issue!

Thanks again

Ok here goes this is just my way others will have there way, you will find out what works best, I use to use twrp exclusively but now I use the built in recovery, it's much easier for me ,,with that said here goes

    1. a adb/ fastboot installed and working on your pc / phone
    2. A working msm tool In case you muck things up
    3. Once fastboot/adb is working u need to unlock the bootloader, Google it ,it's easy
    4. Grab the 1.7 gb derpfest rom run it thru payload dumper grab the boot.img, ( learn how to use the dumper tool it comes in handy)
    5. Boot to bootloader, using the boot.img from the dumper tool, fastboot flash boot boot.img
    6. Reboot to recovery ( lineage)
    7. Wipe/ format
    8. Adb sideload 1.7 gb derpfest
    9. Reboot and have fun
    10. If you want root after setup reboot to recovery adb sideload magisk. Hth
    Thanks! I appreciate it man.

Does anyone have ColorOS sound files or know where to download them?
How many more threads are you going to spam with this off-topic question?
    Just google it, man!

Yeah I just did.. I'd just like to know what I did wrong (clean flash?) Im not entirely sure what a 'clean flash' all means. I didn't have this problem with an earlier update in the summer. Can you explain?
There was a clean flash mandatory instruction for the 27/07 build. If your previous build was older than that, that is the answer to your doubt.
A clean flash implies formatting data. ;)

Now I dont have mobile data though.
It happened to me a few times: I noticed that every now and then, when booting, the pin for the SIM card is not requested, hence no mobile data becomes available. Only one solution, I guess: to reboot the phone again.

You can flash Magisk with TWRP. Just flash it on the slot that is active. You can sideload it with lineage recovery as well I'm pretty sure
You are correct: Magisk can also be flashed via Lineage Recovery.

To give @BeamMeUp3 some guidance, this is how I proceed with the updates:
    a) Download the zip file to the computer
    b) Boot the phone into Recovery
    c) Apply update via adb
    d) Adb sideload the zip file (with the phone connected to the laptop, obviously 🤓)
    e) Boot into System
    f) Once the ROM initializes and everything is fine, boot into Recovery again and flash Magisk, repeating the steps c) and d)

I know it's not the easier nor the most practical way of updating, but at least I'm sure I am always on the safe side doing it this way.
