Been using rom since day of release. Only complaints are minimal.
Auto brightness defaults high often.
Screen mirroring doesn't work. Internal casting app crashes.

With AOD DT2W works tho.

Is there anything besides security?
Got some free time yesterday and built an update :)
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664827641
October security patches
Is there anything else besides security in the update? I flashed the previous update over the first one with TWRP without any problems, but a little reluctant to take a chance just for security.

I probably should freshen my backups in any case.

Unfortunately I don't use the ROM myself, and only build it by request - I was hoping to link you to the changelogs, but they don't seem to be updating them very often:

You can typically assume the difference between one month to the next is only rom-related bug fixes and security patches. Anything device specific will stay the same, as our sources haven't been changed much as of late.

That said, if you are interested in the specifics, you can always glance through DerpFest's commit history on GitHub:

Okay I guess I found the problem, i think persist is getting corrupted no matter what rom I install. have tried different recoveries, tried editing mac address, tried messing with terminal to fix it but no luck so far. Searched all over google and youtube for a fix but nothing works. Problem being that my wifi and wifi-hotspot don't work at all. Still no idea how to fix this, would love to use derpfest it seems like an awesome rom but wifi hotspot is a must have for me, so I'm back to stock now. Any help would be appreciated!

You might have to go back to MSM to clean up all the problems.

I went from stock to the first one here by following the instructions - especially starting with A10 stock.

After the first (and only significant) update came out, after reading the success that a poster had using a beta TWRP to flash it, I did the same dirty flash with TWRP which worked perfectly. I did not do the next update because it appeared to be only security.

Considering 12 is still very early days, "new life" isn't exactly accurate since we're still pretty darn up to date. That said, once DerpFest 12 is considered relatively "stable" I will likely build it, assuming it's doable without the updated kernel from OnePlus.

Anyone else have problems with screen shots? It will only take screenshots on my home screen and nowhere else. You never realize how many screenshots you take until you can't.... Besides that one complaint this Rom is amazing, 10/10 would recommend if you own this device. Thanks for keeping the updates coming op! Appreciate all your hard work.

I am totally stoked! I have been waiting to see if someone was going to pick up the ball and develop some more on this build. Out of all the custom ROM's for this device I like Derfest the best!! Thank you to all who made this possible again. You ROCK!
    3
Just curious - will there be any updates to this? I'm using it and appreciate having this update and modification of the original Nord 10N.
I hope to build an update soon.. I've been very busy and haven't had time to work much on the device.
I have already released an updated build of PixelExperience
