i have that problem, only on CrDroid , 7.12 all version, and ALL APPS (mess,fb,telegram, whatsapp, signal, gallery etc)
Since I activated H.265 Videoencoder in Camera I can also not play such Videos in Gallery. So seems a system decoder problem. In the Sys Camera App (204.NeoX) play works and as well in VLC which seem to have their own decoder.

Would also appreciate solutions to this - maybe Google Photos App install could help, but I would like to avoid installing and using that?

Please can somebody share what version of anx camera this build uses along with the patches? Probably the first custom rom with (almost) full functioning anx camera and front facing camera.

Thanks when formating Data, internal storage becomes obselete then, thanks for your reply

Just make sure you know what Format Data means :D. You will loose your personal data and Apps data, like factory reset.

I won't take the blame if you formatted data and said you loose your data.

Insert your micro SD card after you format data to prevent TWRP accidently format micro SD card.

Better safe than sorry.

Yes tonight my countdown to unlock bootloader is going to end, I know everything gonna be wiped :), actually before I install a custom Rom I usually copy everything to a Hard Disk, to recovery data afterwards, if stock Miui rom was good, it didn't need a custom rom, but I don't like stock rom.

CrDroid always was an awesome rom, never had issues on other phones.

I must say the integrated Cam 204.NeoX (if I understand correctly a ANX-Cam-Mod) is a highlight of this ROM: Video EIS works very well (better then BSG/MGC GCam, seems smooth as in stock MIUI Cam) and also pictures etc. are fine.

So the Video Playback error likely connected to a missing H.265 (HEVC) Codec is the only main annoyance I have so far.

I have a problem that I would like to solve. Fast charging does not work. A maximum of 15 watts, charges 12 percent in 10 minutes. Everything works fine on miui, but I would like to use crdroid. Maybe you know the solution? Sorry for my English, I'm from Russia.

Problem with LTE/4G/3G mobile data: it works with official MIUI 12.5.5.0 (Global ROM), but it doesn't work after installing crDroid. I tried with other 2 older firmwares and nothing changed. The same behavior occurs if I flash ArrowOS

Have you tried going in the mobile data settings and changing the preferred network type to "LTE"? Im on the same firmware and no issues with this

Has someone experience with the integrated SeedVault backup solution?
Both the procedure on the same device (ROM version upgrade or change) and from Device1 to Device2 (X3 Pro) would interest me. I'm mainly interested in the flawless restoring of SMS, Call Log, and possibly Account data. For Signal, WhatsApp, DAVx5, Conversations and similar Apps probably restore of all data will be difficult because of encryption/proprietary-backup-restore/privacy-protection?

New to crDroid, loving the performance and customization.

Issues I have encountered so far are no fast charging (max 11W vs 33W) and "hey google" not being able to be enabled. But not sure if that's a crDroid issue tho

Yes can confirm crDroid also on X3P is smooth, long lasting, has most customization one can wish for, stocklike superior Video-EIS camera and signature spoofing support.
Regarding charging I did so on the stock charger and cable and it seems to go very fast when on, so likely 33W.
However I can not see the W-value listed. Is this shown when device is off and charged?
