I run into a strange bug in latest version (crDroid 7.14 crDroidAndroid-11.0-20220122-vayu-v7.14.zip) - updated via OTA from January 2nd version
Default phone app doesn't notify missed calls: As you can surely recognize is this a very annoying bug - has anyone the same experience?
After update from 7.13 to 7.14 official I tested this and in the status bar the missed call was notified.
It's not possible if you're NOT currently encrypted (at least for me). Dirty flash ain't working for me either. Never tried OTA. But if you boot alright after this, be my guest. I could not boot without data formatting data at all. (I'm on official TWRP.) It's not really a problem if you have a data backup (on an external drive), as well as a backup of your storage folders (same drive), which you will be able to restore.
crDroid is currently encrypted, so dirty flash 7.13 to 7.14 did work (after I made Backups) in TWRP.

Wow! Way to go.
I've found out that with this new dfe patch one needn't to format data any more (after updates or new installs). Encouraged by your endearvors, I've switched to AICP ROM for a jiffy (did not like it, no Hand Wave), and returned to crDroid of 1.1.22 without doing any data formatting. Mine is decrypted, btw.

This is weird. Didn't have time to check this one. Couldn't stand removal of Hand Wave and rolled back to 1.1.22 (still supports call recording), which would be my recommendation to you.

Thanks, I ended up with a clean flash and now it works as excpected ;)

Anyone got the media (music) in DND mode working?

How do I set microg to have location "all the time"?
I thought one can set this in the location access settings but I do not see this option, only the others "Never" "Only once" "only when the app is in use".

Maybe found a bug????

I installed crDroid 7.14, rebooted, then installed MicroG nogoolag.
I was not able to get all green checkboxes in MicroG check, because no "all the time" location was able to be set.

I then installed crDroid 7.13, rebooted, then installed MicroG nogoolag.
I got all green checkboxes in MicroG, then installed crDroid 7.14 and still had all green checkboxes.

I do not know why 7.14 with microG (without 7.13) did not give me all checkboxes

Hello everyone, I'm using CrDroid version 7.14 A11, and after this last update I have an error when using some applications (from what I've noticed, they seem to be applications that use some Google function, but I'm not sure) flashes on the screen that the application is not responding, then this warning closes and the application works normally. The error when this occurs is highlighted in the image, and I also have a zip file of the log. I would like to know if someone could help me, despite being a layman in mobile programming. I thank you for your attention!

Hi! Great rom, I've used it on my MI A3 and now in my Poco x3 pro. I have a bit of an issue though, any chance the kernel could be compiled with CONFIG_DM_CRYPT set to Y.
I'll explain my use, I have an encrypted container on my external sdcard and without that option can't seem to be able to mount it.
Thanks again for a great rom!

Hi, do any of you have any problem with over heating of the phone?
I'm on 7.14 here and if use the phone just for browsing or YouTube, the phone gets very hot near the top part of the screen.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Experiencing the same issue. I've seen more users with the same problem recently. I don't know what might be causing it. I was forced to do a full wipe and format data, fixed the issue for now but it still gets really hot while using YouTube, thought not that much like it used to before wiping (Battery reached 45 degree just because of 10 minutes on YouTube) now it stays at 35 degree which I consider better.

Previously tried flashing another kernel but problem remained, seems it was a ROM issue. Hope it doesn't happen again since I like how crDroid 7.14 performs over 8.2 (Which by the way does not have that heating issue).
