[ROM][11.0] crDroid 7.x for A5/A7 2017

That's needed if you plan on using TWRP and rooting your phone when using stock ROM, but it's not necessary for custom ROMs. To get rid of encrypted data partition just format it in TWRP's wipe menu.

Ok I liked this rom a lot. But I have problem with lag issues, especially when scrolling through apps like YouTube, Twitter etc.

Lineage os doesn't have this issue, as well as Rise Q & Korea rom. I hope this gets fixed. Thanks.

My observations after updating my galaxy a5 2017 to crDroid 7.16

- overnight in airplane mode about 6-8 % power consumption, after installation of riseKernel-v1.9 also about 6-8 % and after installation of riseKernel-v1.7 only 1-2 %.

I noticed something similar about four months ago after installing riseKernel-v1.8, the power consumption was also very high.

For me crDroid Android 11 with the riseKernel-v1.7 is the perfect combination!

Bugs I've encountered

• When fast charging is turned on, still says charging slowly
• Always on lock screen
  • current and wattage reading inaccurate
• Camera is still crashing/slow
  • Google meet camera slow to start up/change
  • Stock Camera App
    • Crashes when swapping front and back camera
    • Sometimes, while swapping, pressing the screen to make it focus causes it to successfully swap camera
• Loud white noise (Speaker breaks)
  • Sometimes it goes away after a few restarts
• Split screen mode
  • Long press menu button to enter split screen and home page landscape rotation turned on
    • Sometimes entering split screen mode causes the new screen (home screen) to be dispositioned.

Suggestions

• A7 2017 has one tiny speaker. Maybe a native option to boost volume.

Edit: I didn't know what I was talking about the camera2api, thus I removed it.

    • Tried adding "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" & "persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" to build props with no success

The white noise bug seems to be random with all roms, powering off, waiting two minutes and then powering on seems to consistently fix this issue
