This ROM is excellent, excellent, excellent! Really breathed some new life into my Redmi.

Has anyone else noticed that the latest Magisk doesn't pass Safetynet? I'm not sure if it's a ROM issue or if it has to do with Magisk - I know it used to pass with flying colors on this ROM a month or two ago, but it could very well be an issue with Safetynet in general - any suggestions?

Edit: nevermind, it looks like there's an issue with the Safetynet API - nothing to do with the ROM!

where is the 5ghz wifi fix announced? the signal here is full on other roms and in this rom it hardly appears ... horrible
not true...5ghz problem is there in all a11 roms (except MIUI ones) if using a11 firmware...it is about 20-30 db more than 2.4ghz

Hello, coming from this rom which is currently no longer followed to go under Crdroid, is it necessary to format the data? or a simple system wipe is enough?

Thank you so much for all these excellent releases!

By latest firmware, do you mean the China weekly for Android 11?

data formatting is really necessary at the end of the installation? I spent more than an hour last night to try to pass there rom and that without success whereas on my Mi5 it had gone well ... it would be cool if the solution was! Thank you for your answer anyway.

Anyone else have problems with the proximity sensor when on a call? Also the screen doesn't go reverse landscape in video? I'm using latest android 10 india firmware FYI.

Yes, very annoying. My ear mistakenly activated some quick settings or muted me during the call. Finally as "solution" I pressed the power button immediately after each call to shut off the display.

      Hello everyone,

I will not respond to your reactions individually, but I thank you very much for your tips and comments :)

And I agree with all of you on one thing that is very important to emphasize, and I would like to take this opportunity to do it again: we must indeed thank the developers and other hackers who give of their time and their expertise so that we can have products that are open source, respectful of privacy, more often updated, etc. compared to what is installed by the manufacturers on the phones. Indeed, we are not in a classic customer / supplier relationship. The people who help us don't owe us anything, so yes: THANKS TO THEM :)

Yea, sad story, there are solutions to backup and restore app stuff like migrate, titanium backup or yes, the RECOVERY. Such things happen in DEVELOPMENT. No one forces you to flash anything, your very own choice. Sorry I don't get the whistle. "We" are thinking in solutions not in problems
It isn't the rom, but Android.
If you want to have the extended security of Android. Yes, you have to do this everytime.
Encryption is the main cause of it.
If you flash on regular base, don't use encryption. It saves a lot of time, but at the expense of some safety.

      Hello,

OK, I see the tone of your answers, and to be honest, I did look for it. The me when he's in great shape could certainely have responded like you did to the me who was bluezzy when I wrote my post. However, I still wanted to give some clarification on what I said:

      - yes, no one is forcing us(*) to come here to change ROMs. We can keep our phone, with excellent hardware, but with a horrible software overlay full of bloatware that sucks our personal data,

      - when I was young, I spent a lot of time porting programs and recompiling them by myself. With the hope of doing better, but with the risk of having to deal with a lot of bugs,

      - but I'm not that age anymore. And today I need to install a working OS right away. You may have noticed that I chose an "official" and "stable" ROM, widely used and with good comments. Today, I no longer have time to try "unstable" or "unofficial" ROMs. And when in addition the ROM in question works perfectly well, I have the right to be disappointed when I encounter regressions (and especially a lot of instability) after a few updates. So, I'm agree to play the adventure of free, but not to have a system that not works

      - I understand the issues related to encryption... When switching from one major version to another major version. For example, going from Android 10 to Androitd 11, you have to format everything. No choice. But on the other hand, when we go from an Android 11 to a just higher version of Android 11, which differs only by the mounthly security patch and by corrections of some bugs, there... no, I don't understand not why I need to format my phone again. Now, I'm a good audience, I don't mind being explained to me,

      - no, there is no quick and easy solution to save the apps settings to completely reinstall your phone. For many reasons:
      1) Often these apps require you to root your phone. I've been doing it for a long time (I started with Android 1.6, that's to tell you ...), but when I see the risk of having your phone rooted and catching a virus or other malware , I no longer want to take the risk (risk of identity theft, hacking of my bank accounts ...),
      2) often these softwares reinstall your applications (which has become very easy, GApps does that very well), but it set them up badly. Yes, all simple little software will work. But all software that includes security (bank account, VPN, etc.) will detect that there is something wrong. The last time I did this, my bank blacklisted my phone, and I had to spend 2 hours on the phone for them to unlock me. So don't tell me there are simple solutions that put all your data back in place. I insist: no problem making data backups (photos, music, etc.), no problem quickly restauring SMS, calls, apps, etc. But to setup the apps ... If you don't want any problem, you have to do it manually. And that's what is long,
      3) finally, the choices made to configure software (and manage its rights) for a version of Android X may not be good when we switch to a version of Android X+1. This is another argument for re-setup the configuration manually.

I understood, I will have less problem installing my phone from scratch, and disabling encryption. I listened to you, I did it, and I hope that will improve things.

In conclusion: thank you for reading me (sorry I was long). And thanks for slapping me, maybe I needed it. But in my complaint, there may be things to take all the same. Be a little more pedagogical, and understand that not everyone has the time to try lots of different ROM installations or test lots of different configurations, and that we just want to know how to quickly install a great ROM, which will be stable over time. I take this opportunity to thank the hackers who are here for their time and work.

(*) I sayed "we" and "us" in my posts, and I understood that it annoyed you. But that's how I translated the impersonal pronoun "on" from French to English. Remember that the style of what you read may be that not everyone is native English speaker. Be indulgent.
