@fagyi
I am experiencing 'very weak wifi' even when I stand very near to the router I don't get full signal, in this build

But mobile network coverage has increased
Compared to 10 rom
I have router with OpenWRT and i have more stronger and stable wifi now than on LineageOS 17.1. The difference in my case is big: from -85dBm to -66dBm (from router side) and the speed almost doubled (upload is like 10x higher) with LineageOS 18. HTC 10 have now signal as strong as stock ROM now (I have 3xHTC 10, one with broken display (and back camera...) and with stock ROM so I can compare). Sometimes HTC 10 with LineageOS 18 reconnects (i was unable to collect log (i don't run logcat reader 24/7)).
The mobile signal reception maybe got stronger (I don't know about exact numbers) and the other side finally don't have my echo now on LineageOS 18.
Some proces named "iorap" was using for about 7 hours CPU nonstop after instalation and phone was runnig really hot. After that the MediaStorageProvider was another power hungry process.
The nice adition in Developers settings is manual opt-out from scoped storage for aplication (Syncthing can now read/write files on mSD card without running as root!!). @fagyi thanks for great ROM.

If you feel inspired in development, I welcome your help in it. I will spend several hours making the latest version available. I have limitations for me too, because it requires a lot of knowledge, but I try to provide the best for us.

What is the many bugs in previous versions? Pls list of that on LOS 17.1 thread or Pixelexperience ( logcat & dmesg would be nice with bugs ).
The lot of problems which you mentoined I feel an exaggeration.
After the first setup of the phone, the mobile Internet still does not work until you connect to Wi-Fi. There is still no NFC icon in the status bar (no, this is not a trifle). It is still unclear why the settings application might crash. There is still a drop in performance in simple Internet surfing for no apparent reason, and the battery from build to build is consumed in different ways and strangely. Should I list more? These are simple things that should work adequately in any firmware, because stability is the most important thing in everyday work. If one of your builds works fine, then something is definitely wrong in the next, and so on. Something comes back to normal, something breaks again.

Why dont you just reinstall OREO and get a Life? :mad:

A Custom ROM is nothing for everyday work if you depend on it!

Or you can post your problems in a more constructive way, with detailed information/screenshots/logs?

Fagyi is doing this in his free time as a hobby. He does not get paid for creating this ROM.

All the bugs you mentioned I have never encountered them on this lineage 18.0 early build, my mobile data is working without toggling the WiFi or hotspot, settings does not crash, NFC is toggling well though I don't use it, LTE connectivity is amazing here, and right now I use this rom as my daily driver, the only issue I have is the fingerprint which I strongly believe he would fix in the next build. As for the battery life HTC 10 has this problem since the stock Oreo update, I replaced my battery but still no improvement then I decided to unlock the bootloader and flash ROMs, Fagyi's Pixel experience plus rom September update was one my favourite with no bugs whatsoever, like as fagyi said, you are welcome to developing ROMs, let's see what you are capable of, instead of trying to spoil someone's efforts. I only pray that Fagyi ignores whatever you are posting and continue with his rom development especially our HTC 10 device.

If I remember right, that Im updated the service blobs also, so https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_frameworks_base/+/287693 not needed anymore, I need remove the config_cleanupUnusedFingerprints from device side. Thanks.

@fagyi
FP fixed for me (LOS 18 for U11) after "Move biometrics hax overlays to lineage-sdk"
Because overlays for biometrics hax introduce in android_lineage-sdk - https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...2c8d0247240716ad461cc151234e269331ef9f4171b6c

If you start reading the message before responding furiously to it, you will see that it was about past ROMs, specifically about the PE Plus 10. This is first. Secondly, I said that there is no icon of the enabled NFC in the status bar, I did not say that it does not work. Thirdly, I'm not talking about battery problems, but about its strange consumption from build to build. Learn to read and understand before answering. Besides, I didn't write to you. And I do not need to be a developer to point out certain errors, I am a user who wants to help with my observations and reviews, but I wrote about all this before and no one paid attention. So relax and mind your own business.

On the next build you can disable them or make it lower brightness for button backlight.

GPS not working. It won't get a fix at all. Otherwise, a great ROM fagyi
Thanks, I just moved back the gps to previous stack, need some more work/cleanups for precise accurate but locking good and fast here now wirh 11-20 feet.

Uploading the last build for testing at this stage.

EDIT:

Setting fp lock still doesn't work. I even tried deleting locksettings.db and set again, but no result. I get message something like: can't set fp now, please try again later, or use another finger.
