No, I cannot do this. This is a LOS related feature. It's necessary to make corrections to the program code from my part, which will lead to errors during further synchronization with LOS base during next update.

I see there is fine working Lineage OS available for HTC U11 (ocn). As I own HTC U11+ (ocm) I wonder, if I could flash the ocn-version, because I couldn't find an ocm-version anywhere. Has someone an idea if it's worth trying? Difference between ocn and ocm seems to be mainly bigger screen and bigger battery... Thanks in advance!

Kernel sources from U11 were used in LOS 18.1, which means that all drivers are suitable for U11.
All vendor files - from U11.
These devices are based on different firmware.
In the best case - ROM from U11 will not start for you, in worst case you will get a "brick".

I had this issue of gps not working in previous updates of 18.1. I guess it is some kinda permission related thing which won't let your apps use gps. it was a bigger issue back then when golv just released 18.1 and later he fixed it.
the solution to gps issue is installing an app called "AppOps". it is a permission manager app i guess and your device needs to be rooted in the first place and then you open appops and go for google play services, inside the options there is a section called location and all you need to do is set this option "Coarse Location = Allow" and you good to go.

I used the google play version of "app ops" and it worked totally fine for me.

after using the latest rom for a while, i feel that the 0807 version is smoother than the 0918 ver. anyone feels the same ???
Hi, does anyone use MiXplorer on this ROM? I'm having issues with seeing files/folders in external sd/android/data. Root Explorer works fine. I've allowed access and permissions etc but still not showing anything. Have msgd app dev and tried a few things but still nothing.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Important: If you have any issues with rom (unresponsive buttons, cannot unlock with fingerprint, etc.) try to wipe delvik/cache in TWRP.
Instructions:
Take FULL backup first from your actual system!
Before instaling, make sure you are running the latest Oreo or Pie firmware from the latest HTC Sense.
If you are encrypted, take a full backup of all your data, boot into TWRP and format data (the option which requires you to type "yes") and clean flash accordingly. This is due to encryption changes. Do not skip this step or you will be locked out of your system by a password prompt.
- Download the latest updated TWRP recovery 3.3.1-1 ( thanks @Captain_Throwback ) or 3.4.0-0
- Reboot to download mode and flash it: "fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img"
- Download the latest ROM zip from the downloads section below
- Wipe /system, /cache and /data (complete FORMAT /data if you're having issues or were encrypted)
- Flash ROM zip in TWRP, reboot to system and make initial settings (don't enable option Lineage recovery during first setup after clean install, otherwise you will lose TWRP and you need to reinstall it again)
- Flash the latest magisk (optional) after make one reboot
- When system is booted, reboot to TWRP and flash gapps (optional)
- Reboot and check apps permissions (!!!) (Google Play Service, all Google apps and services, Phone, Phone services, Camera, Contacts, Message, etc...)
- Enjoy (as much as currently possible)
