Pre-installation: (aka gather some stuff)

• TWRP (Download from here) thnx @mauronofrio or use Official TWRP
• NikGapps (Download from here)
• Modded Magisk (Download from here) or Magisk 22.0
• DFE (Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt) (Download from here)
• OR CHECK LATEST BUILD FOR INSTRUCTIONS !!!

First time installation or check latest build instructions:

• CHECK LATEST BUILD FOR INSTRUCTIONS !!!
• Wipe system, data, dalvik, cache
• Format data
• Reboot recovery
• Flash crDroid rom and reboot twrp
• Flash Modded Magisk and DFE (decryption if needed)
• Flash NikGapps ( I use Basic version now)
• Boot crDroid and E N J O Y !

If you're on cr6.x then you're supposed to be on fw v12.0.2 and are not required to flash any fw upgrade. However you'll have to format data and wipe all. So backup is needed of your precious data

Known problems:
1. Contact app closes when you tries to edit/change profile pic
2. Google Photos close when you enter an album in library
Others are good until now

Thnx for the update. Tested and confirmed.
3rd one can be fixed. Although the other 2 seem to be gapps issue.
Will take a look at it.

Thanks for the good rom. I can't get "google" to work when I swipe right from the homescreen. Google is installed and the setting is enabled in crdroid launcher.

Just installed aswell. Used the full Gapps.

Seems nice and smooth for now.

A few problems:

1. Your launcher is force closing. The google one is working
2. Gmail is crashing when you add another non google account. tested with a outlook and a own domain account.
3. the same red flashing when unlocking the phone.

You got any idea if there is a more stable gapps version to use?

Will give more feedback the more I use the phone.

You can try the test version of opengapps or try bitgapps.
We had some in our crDroid dev group who had good results on that. I still prefer Nikgapps but that will definitely change if something more stable will be released. Remember this is all a work in progress.
Let me know how they work.

For the red border issue : seems to be gone on my phone this morning. But nonetheless will add a fix for this.
Also could change profile picture in contacts by tapping pic and change it - although going into settings and change "your info" will crash

Hi, this Gmail bug was also present a few months ago on cr6. I can't add my outlook account while on xiaomi.eu I can.
BTW, I have a few issues of short disconnections when using data.
Also, I am using full screen gesture, and if I hide navigation bar, right and left swipe to go back stop working.
Beside that rom is great for a 1st build, and very pleasant and smooth to use

As for now Selinux permissive and no encryption.
Checked gesture mode but seems to work (see attach). Also can access root/data if that is what you mean.
