ROM DOWNLOAD:
crDroid Website
DOWNLOAD LATEST OFFICIAL BUILD (Android 11)
DOWNLOAD LATEST OFFICIAL BUILD (Android 10)
DOWNLOAD LATEST OFFICIAL BUILD (Android 9 PIE)

DOWNLOAD GAPPS (PICO Version)

First time installing crDroid to your Nexus 5, or coming from another ROM:

** Make sure you're running the latest TWRP Recovery (UA or HH Version)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash gapps
6) Boot up

For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 21.x (whatever is most recent).

Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

KNOWN ISSUES (Android 11)
Slow Boot Animation
Screen mirroring via slimport HDMI adapter doesn't work.
PMF aka 802.11w doesn't work.
Wi-Fi display doesn't work
SELinux permissive

Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Thanks to:

- Google
- LineageOS
- SlimRoms
- AOSPA (Paranoid Android)
- OmniRom
- NamelessROM
- Many others... (if you're feeling upset being out of the thanks list just send a PM )

First off the Cr-droid Android 9.0 rom is Noice (nice) this rom is okay for normal usage but i have sooo many problems with it first the phone is abnormally warm in normal usage. it heats like crazy when i updating apps which was non-existence on lineage os 15.1 (Android 8.1) when the battery is low on charge it causes mayhem and crashes the phone also the battery goes from 100% to 0% in 30 minutes that is really bad battery performance when i installed the latest version of the android 9.0 crdroid rom my phone could not access the internal storage. apps would download fine for some bizarre reason. i could not transfer any files or take screenshots after i downgrade the version to crDroidAndroid-9.0-20190525-hammerhead-v5.4 it got fixed but the above problems still persists PLEASE PLEASE fix the STUPID bugs thank you

I know I should resist, but I can't help it.
Perhaps if you have so many problems you should consider (a) performing a proper installation or (b) trying a different ROM. The fact that others are reporting no such problems indicates that the problem is with you, not with the ROM.
And "Android 9.0"...? What does this even mean? Are you commenting on a two-year-old thread? What are you trying to say exactly?

A) I did clean flashes several times
B) Tried Lineage OS but minor problems it was okay but i wanted an issue-free ROM so it was removed
It mean that if the devs are still working on the "Android 9.0" rom fix the bugs but now switched to android 11 crdroid rom so i dont care much and the bugs are gone *phew*

About 20211217 build, I don't know why, but I lost root. Is it hidden somewhere? Or I have to root it myself?
If myself, can you please remind me how to do it?Please?
EDIT: never mind. Had to rename Magisk APK file to ZIP, and flash it.
Do I need to do it sometimes, or just once?

Is this version compatible with Samsung S7 G930F?

Thanks.
If you have have an Exynos Version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 celebrate because you have android 12 support in your device forum if you have an Snapdragon Version then well no ROMs for it but it is not the end the world as you can install an GSI you can install GSIs of Android 9, Android 10, Android 11 or even android 12 if you want. check phhusson GSIs for the most stable experience but they must be compatible with your snapdragon CPU if you have one to check install CPU-Z and check your CPU

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANDROID 8 OR HIGHER AS GSI(s) WILL NOT WORK

If you want to install an GSI : Here
Check Treble Compatibility : Here

    For everyone concerned...

With custom ROM's heading towards Q (Android 10) it will take time to figure out all the issues, I will be providing updates for this device until crDroid Android stops development on Pie and moves on towards Android 10.

With news that daily LineageOS builds provided by @z3DD3r will be stopping soon, I will provide updates on the same timeline I normally do, so don't worry. Nexus 5 has 1-2 more updates on Pie at least before crDroid moves on towards Android 10.

Thanks for using crDroid and all the well wishes I get from all of you.

    Regards,
    Frazer.

I'll be taking a month or so break to focus on my post-graduate studies as well as taking some time off to recuperate. I'll be back soon with fresh builds of Android 10 for Nexus 5, so don't worry about me dropping support. Huge shoutout and thanks to @EnesSastim and @z3DD3r for keeping Nexus 5 alive all this time.

    - Some Google stuff i.e. Assistant is causing some weird issues ("internet connection issues" even when connected), which is an issue with Google as its also affecting Samsung, OnePlus phones. Nothing I can do about it.
