AFAIK 4K YouTube streams use different encoding now and N6 doesn't have HW support for it. So 1080p or play x264 4k locally.
P.S.
Also now you shouldn't need to put screen res into build.prop as YouTube now supports 4k on 1080p screen natively. Again AFAIK my F2 has no such mod and it works fine.

I've got a nexus6. But with crdroid I can't watch molotov.
I've seen what where is no widevine jar file in /system/framework. And drm info app displays none information about widevine CRM.
Could you help to install them ?
I have alse installed gapps-pico for arm
Thanks much for all the effort in making these ROMs, it is appreciated.

Bumping this question as I have the same issue. I also saw this with a LineageOS 11 ROM and posted in that thread. I did a full wipe in TWRP (minus storage) and did a clean install of the 12/18 build. Installed gapps nano before reboot. DRM info does not show any information at all about widevine, the whole card is missing. I've installed magisk and enabled hide and Netflix shows up in the play store just fine but it won't load.

Is widevine supported in this ROM and how might I make it work? I don't even care about L1, L3/480p is fine for me on a small screen.

Thanks!

Hello all, I understand that @Elektroschmock 's echo fix is part of this ROM (see it in the git repo) and that current builds include it.
I have faced persistent issues with echo on the listener's side during Whatsapp calls and video calls on the speaker phone. There is no issue with normal voice calls on speaker.
Can anyone confirm that Whatsapp video/voice calls on speakerphone work fine without echo?
Thank you

Great work, really enjoying this ROM!

I have one question / bug report: If I switch off the phone and put it away with a fully charged battery, a couple of days later it's fully depleted with this ROM. Could there be something happening in the background? I've re-installed the original Android 7 for Nexus 6 and then the battery stays charged if switched off for days....

Tried the 'switch off and put away' scenario a couple of times and in all cases the phone wouldn't start up without first charging for quite a while.
I have exactly same issue using this rom, I loved this rom, the battery drained very fast even I completely powered off the phone! the battery depleted in 3 or 4 days even with the phone being powered off.

I flashed back stock rom, the battery life is great now, battery went down 4 percent overnight with the phone being powered on. the downside now is I have to stick with android 7.

Did you try a more recent version? With later updates, the battery drain issue has disappeared for me.

I haven't tried recently , last time I tried it was on Andoird 11 (don't remember which build).
I thought it was battery issue, I even bought a new battery for that, and with new battery it had same issue, then I realized possibly the rom or my phone had problem, so I switched back to stock rom.

Maybe I will give it another try with latest build.

Hi, are there any plans for overclock/downclocking support in this rom?

Ive scoured the thread for a new fix but root is still causing the phone to stay stuck on the google boot screen. Ive done a clean install and booted into the rom properly then went back to twrp to flash magisk (latest stable build but also tried latest canary build) then the dtb zip but still getting stuck. any suggestions?

Flashed the latest version (came from stock). Did clean flash. Now it's stuck at the crdroid logo during boot. waited for over 1 hour but nothing happened. Any hints what I can do?

First time installing crDroid to your Nexus 6, or coming from another ROM:

** Make sure you're running the latest TWRP Recovery
    1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
    2) Boot into Recovery
    3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
    4) Flash ROM
    5) Flash gapps
    6) Boot up

For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 21.4 or later. (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED).

Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

This is going to be the FINAL build of Pie for Nexus 6.

I'll be taking a month or so break to focus on my post-graduate studies as well as taking some time off to recuperate. I'll be back soon with fresh builds of Android 10 for Nexus 6 depending on the progress made by LineageOS maintainers @Elektroschmock and @npjohnson and thanks to both for keeping Nexus 6 alive.

    Note
    - CLEAN FLASH RECOMMENDED.

    - It's STILL a BETA -ish. As far as calls go, I haven't had the problem personally in this update. Been running it for a day. Camera gives a headache sometimes, which can be mitigated by a quick reboot. That's all about that, but your mileage may vary.
    - About GApps, flash nano or below variant, as Pixel Launcher in the micro variant causes some issues with default launcher. This is a GApps issue.
    - Magisk 20.4 solves the issues we've been having with it since some time. Flash 20.4 version and above only.
    - Huge thanks and props to @Elektroschmock and @npjohnson and all other contributors who have helped the Orca in any way, and for LineageOS 17.1!!
