I am not sure I understand this. Could you please elaborate?
> Don't know about the video call issue. Check if it's present on other roms & lemme know.
It is also present in DotOS.
> I've crosschecked myself & the laucher issue ain't there here.
Weird. Maybe it is just with Nova7. I will try to record the issue next time.

From my personal experience I've also had the problem with the video calls and it's really a deal breaker. So far all the ROMs that I've tried had this so I believe it's something in the common code that the ROMs share.
I've put some logs I've managed to get here:

What other ROMs have you tried? Yes, this is a big problem for me too =S
I only use Signal, I have ditched Skype and Whatsapp, so I can't test that this is an issue with them as well. But I can confirm this is also a problem with DotOS, so I do think you are right about it being something in the common code.

I tried SparkOS and Lighthouse Project. Both have exactly the same problem with video freezing in Skype after some time, probably more than 15 minutes.
My wife really needs Skype to talk to her relatives so with this bug it's unusable.
I can help with new logs or maybe even more if needed.

Facing an issue on CrDroid 7.9. phone is automatically rebooting sometimes. Sometimes after screen lock, the screen is not turning on. Any solution!??

I will try to record the issue next time.
Here is the launcher issue I have talked about. In the video I show that 1. gestures don't work from the Nova home screen, 2. gestures from apps open crDroid stock launcher, 3. Nova launcher was systemized (can't uninstall).
Nova just started working properly after 40 min.

I also managed to catch a few extra (minor bugs) in the video: 1. the "h" is from QS Bluetoot h tile is displayed in another line, 2. Signal frequently displays a notification error message. (I think this one may be sorted with the next update with the swap for the Fakestore 🤷‍♂️).

Also, I included 2 images that show glitches with the toggles in the long press Bluetooth 'dialog'. That "behavior" did not happen with the Wifi 'dialog' though.

Lastly an inquiry: when recording the screen I enabled the "Lower quality" option, but the resulting file was very pixelated and thus not usable. Did I experience a bug, or the compression is too agressive? I ended up using the default option and compressing it with ffmpeg.

Nova gestures working on Gapps build. Maybe issue just on vanilla?
Lower quality is ok, it's usable for me. But maybe when you upload it to a site they compress video even further making it unusable. Also, you can make separate 'h' in Bluetooth go away when you press on it once

Hmm, that may be it then. But I don't remember that being an issue with vanilla dotOS when I tried it. So it may just be a crDroid issue.
The bluetooth H thing I just saw that during the recording and reported it.
And never got to upload the video, it was poor quality in

What is burn-in protection on latest update ? I'm curious 😁
This is the most important mode for the permanently on screen (AOD). For example, the clock on the AMOLED display during standby. The mode repeatedly shifts the image placement slightly to avoid pixel burn-in (memory effect). The shift is so small that you normally don't even notice it. You would have to focus on the position of the image and then the shift can be perceived.

I have experience minor bugs on camera .. (front and back) in settings camera when you open it stuck/freeze then poo say "can't connect camera". And also thank you sir for your beautiful explanation. Now I'm learning a little bit software on phone hehe. For now I've install and camera 185r and disable miui port camera which default camera on latest crdroid

hello, I am planning to install this ROM on S8+ device. Have you encountered any problems?
yes , one problem : you are in wrong forum
    1
I just wanted to share my experience with installing this system.
    - booted TWRP
    - used ADB sideload to load crDroid - gave an error at some % but ignored it
    - formatted data in TWRP
    - booted system but it got stuck at crDroid logo
    - booted LOS recovery (included in crDroid), formatted data
    - booted system without problems
    - booted TWRP and installed OpenGapps and Magisk
    - everything works nice and smooth :)

Big thank you and respect to devs and supporting forum members!

My question: which GCAM version is the best for our device? I want to use all cameras and fake bokeh, is this possible? Thank you!
    1
I've been using it since the beginning. When I had no other backup, I restored at least from Google. But now I'm on PE+. crDroid I also tested for a while and it worked. However, it does require you to try the appropriate GAPPS (including the appropriate version) when reinstalling.
    1
Anyone got restore from google backup working? Already tried nikgapps, opengapps and mindthegapps, or is this a lost cause?
    FlameGApps have them.

    7
turned out the issue was because of installing pico gapps. installing other gapps did not give this problem
I'll be making GApps & vanilla variants separated from next build.
Will also make sure you guys wouldn't have these gapps hazzle on each update...
I'll also make sure included gapps to be as minimal as possible, unlike other roms that bundle the whole google junk into the OTA.
