Can't flash using TWRP anymore.
I get an error:

Code:
Flashing A/B zip to inactive slot: A
Step 1/2
Error applying update: 51 (ErrorCode::
kPlayloadTimeStampError)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1

It works great all the time until now.
Rom I would flash: crDroidAndroid-11.0-20210821-mojito-v7.9-gapps.zip

Edit:
The same occured some time before.
To boot frequently to recovery and wipe dat helped but not now.

Edit:
Fastboot OTA works.
But why not twrp?

Can't flash using TWRP anymore.
I just updated (microG variant) via adb sideload and it worked without any problems for me. I did not clean install and I even forgot to remove PIN.

-----

Just powered it on, so haven't had time to test it yet but my initial impression is that it is very smooth.

I noticed that, although disabled, Google Calendar Sync and Google Contact Sync are installed in the microG variant.

Seems safe to update. Will report back if I have issues

Encountered some bugs today, while using mobile data, any attempts of doing an internet speed test causes the phone to restart. Volte and vowifi is off as MPK99 said.
Changing network to gsm/wcdma seemed to fix that somehow.

Voice calling in messenger using mobile data (vowifi and volte off), no sound comes through. I can't hear anything and so does the person being called. Tried changing networks to gsm/wcdma and others doesn't fix it.

Does anyone know if this issue was present in previous 7.9 build? I can't test it now since my PC is at home so I hope anyone can confirm.

Edit: It seems that to get around the messenger issue, you can use a Bluetooth headset to make calls instead. Not sure if this works on regular calls.

!!! Important Update !!!

crDroid 7.10 is being downgraded to 7.9 due to Instability in Voice Over LTE, Call mic & Camera crash issues.

Those who upgraded to 13th sept build, can downgrade to 21st august build, through OTA or manual flash through recovery. Dirty flash is recommended.
I get the following error when downgrading (via adb sideload) to latest 7.9 version:

Error applying update: 51 (ErrorCode::kPayloadTimestampError) Updater Process ended with ERROR: 1

What should I do?

---

Unsure if it is still relevant due to the downgrade, but these are some errors I have had with the 13th Sept update (worth noting I dirty flashed it rather than clean installed):

> Bluetooth keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.
> In AFWall+ (in Allow Selected mode) I am unable to apply firewall rules if I have OsuLogin selected. Was not a thing before this update.
> Spotify crashes when opening

>Video calls still drop

What recovery did you use? I remember mpk99 recommended using Los recovery and that's what I used to downgrade from 7.10 to 7.9 via adb sideload.

It's in the main thread but here is the link https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=14943124697586344095

Use fastboot to flash the Los recovery then format data before sideloading crdroid 7.9 Gapps build.
(note that I already had the previous august build saved in my PC, and I had no issues downgrading to it,)
Duh, should have occurred to me it would be in the main thread. Thanks though.
And format data? I thought dirty flash was recommended?

Will try dirty flashing first tho. Thanks

It's different when you downgrade than upgrade. When you downgrade there all partitions are formatted to work correctly. Rather than upgrade means there are software that added to your system. You install bigger size and that's 7.9 compare the updated which is 900mb something. So you see the comparison

I ran fastboot boot LOS-Recovery.img but that booted into crDroid. Logo wouldn't go away until I restarted the phone. :/
You can use TWRP. Before you flash make sure you format data . Don't dirty flash
I am confused. I thought MKP99 said to dirty flash 7.9 over 7.10
In any case, I think the proper 7.10 version - once it comes out - will fix it for me, since the error I got was a timestamp one.

If I must wipe data I will hang on this build until the proper version comes out or until dotOS 5.2 comes out. Not trying to wipe data, set it all up, and then have to do it again when dotOS comes out. Will wait to do it once when I test it.

When you format data it's just wiped not too bootlooped you. Just do this
First in twrp wiped dalvik cache data internal storage. (Make sure your rom save as card)
Second format data type yes.
Then flash the rom 7.9 ...
After you done flash go again to wipe settings and format data (not wipe dalvik artcahe data internal storage)
Then reboot

Note related to last build (27/09):

    > Don't flash custom kernels, which will fail to boot. It might be due to prebuilding Orange Fox, as that recovery was a bit different than twrp, so I haven't tested custom kernels.
Already tested Gcam, though in some cases when taking a photo it will appear as bluish like look, something must be wrong with the wb balance.

I was using crDroid now and went to update it to version 7.10.
I preferred to use Fastboot_OTA_20210830 and rebooted straight into the system after running OF recovery (dirty flash).
But crDroid remained permanently in loading, the system did not start.
My previous system was rooted so I tried adding root but it kept just loading.
I also tried uploading the last used Flame gaaps, but also no change.
So I installed the previous version of crDroid, added root and started it up. It worked.
So I ran the OTA directly in the system.
After downloading, it took a long time to prepare for the update, and after the reboot prompt, everything went correctly.
This time the standard OTA worked correctly for me and the Fastboot OTA did not work correctly.

turned out the issue was because of installing pico gapps. installing other gapps did not give this problem
I'll be making GApps & vanilla variants separated from next build.
Will also make sure you guys wouldn't have these gapps hazzle on each update...
I'll also make sure included gapps to be as minimal as possible, unlike other roms that bundle the whole google junk into the OTA.
