once try descendant os rom i am gettting better wifi coverage than stock in 2.4ghz i only use 2.4ghz router so didn't tested 5ghz
The problem was fixed since then and most of the roms have merged those changes...this was an old issue...I was completely inactive since XDA made that platform changes...I'm using Kang os now and 5ghz works perfectly fine

Wifi problem on 5 Ghz is not fixed yet. I have Asus RT-AX88U router which does 5 Ghz on 160 Mhz channel width. When this rom encounters 160 Mhz channel width, it connects at 1733 Mbps instead of normal 866 Mbps. As a result, wifi becomes highly unstable and max wifi speed on speedtest is just 50 Mbps. If you have an ancient fossil router which does not have 160 Mhz channel width, there won't be any issue because it will max out at 80 Mhz channel width. @spookcity138

Right now this ROM is unusable for me unfortunately. However apart from 5Ghz 160 Mhz channel width Wifi issue, everything is working great. Thanks for the hard work.

Maybe it is...I have a TP Link archer c60 router which I think is 80mHz. You can manually change the channel width in case you want to cos that will be the only available workaround right now I guess.

Thanks for taking time to maintain this amazing Rom. Is there a way to adjust the notification light pulse timeout? My phone is only lighting up for about 3 secs for notification in ambient mode, which is not very noticeable. I can change the duration and repeat count for edge light, but the screen still only lights up for 3 secs. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, since yesterday I was working on flashing the Evo-X ROM on top of the OOS11 ROM, but I am facing an issue with the following:
1) Whenever I root as per the instruction in the thread, I am unable to get the 'Ramdisk' in Magisk Manager as 'Yes; it is stuck at 'No' (before rooting the ROM, the Ramdisk is shown as 'Yes') - this never happened before, and I tried clean flashing as per the OP instructions, but nothing changed (plus, SafetyNet attestation also failed, but I guessed that can be worked upon after the Ramdisk issue)
2) After the initial setup, when I go to Play Store -> Settings, it shows that the Play Store certification marks as 'Device is not certified' - in all installations of Evo-X, device certification always worked for me (I was wondering whether the 'unsigned' part of the build would be a reason, but I wasn't completely sure) - tried uninstalling updates, clearing cache + data of Play Store, force closing and opening again, but nothing changed (it remained stuck at 'Device is not certified')

Are there any fixes for the same? Really struggling to get root and the device certification check to work, as my usage is dependent on them. Any help will be appreciated, thank you! :)

    - OOS camera: Does not currently work properly,so it is not included at this point. I have included GCamGo as the default camera app. You're obviously free to install whatever you like. OOS gallery is still included

    - Adaptive brightness: like in A10 custom ROMs is far from perfect

    - F2FS Does not work and will result in getting stuck on the "phone is starting" screen. Format to EXT4 only!

    - Those having problems setting an APN on Android 11, please remember to set the APN TYPE to default or default, supl in order to avoid force close issues.

    - Let me know and I'll try to look into it

DO NOT FLASH GAPPS, ALREADY INCLUDED

    u5tIlfT.png

First Time Install / Clean Flash
    Prerequisites:
    1. Unlocked bootloader
    2. OOS 11.0.2.1 stable as the base ROM

    Steps to install:
    1. Copy the ROM zip and boot.img in the platform tools folder and open the command prompt or terminal.
    2. fastboot flash boot <recovery_filename>.img
here it will be: fastboot flash boot boot.img
    3. After flashing the boot image, press the volume down button on the phone twice and you will see "recovery mode" at the top of the screen. Now press power button.
    4. When in recovery mode, if you see "no command" screen, Press and hold power button for 3 seconds and press volume up once and release all buttons.
    5. In the recovery, select "wipe data/factory reset". select "factory data reset" and press the power button.
    6. After that, from the menu, select "apply update from ADB".
    7. In the terminal/command prompt, use this command to install the ROM: adb sideload <rom_zip_filename>.zip
    8. After finishing the flashing process, reboot to system

    NOTE:
The Rom can also be installed by dumping the payload.bin (after extracting from the zip) and flashing the 6 images in fastboot. This is how I install. I'm not gonna go over the details. Maybe when I've more time. Plenty of guides to show how to do this

    ROOT:
Patch the provided boot.img in magisk and flash via fastboot

    Update / Dirty Flash
To update the device by adb sideload:
    1. Copy the latest ROM zip in the platform tools folder and open the command prompt or terminal.
    2. Boot the device into recovery.
    3. When in recovery mode, if you see "no command" screen, Press and hold power button for 3 seconds and press volume up once and release all buttons.
    4. After that, from the menu, select "apply update from ADB".
    5. In the terminal/command prompt, use this command to install the ROM: adb sideload <rom_zip_filename>.zip
    6. After finishing the flashing process, reboot to system
