Hello guys I have just installed the latest crdroid 7.8
Everything works great but my device isn't recognized as a Pixel 5 but as Poco F2 Pro. The fingerprint is the pixels just as it says in the description of the rom but the name is not. I installed magiskhide to edit the props manually and it caused a bootloop. I have also tried many pixel5 props magisk modules all of which cause a bootloop. My question is what can be done so the device can be recognized as a Pixel and gain unlimited google photos. I haven't yet tried editing the build.prop in the /system directory because I am afraid it will cause bootloop and I will need to reinstall the rom from scratch. Any tips? Thanks

many thanks on the latest, seems to be working great with the latest quantic at 69hz. dont use FOD/AOD so not really affected by the low brightness issue

Still the best rom out there for the F2 Pro, keep coming back to it for the battery life and stability. The overnight battery usage has been absolutely amazing too, often it's either only 0% or 1% when Pocket Detection is disabled. For some reason Pocket Detection drains the battery so much more but I'm guessing that's because this phone uses a wackass virtual proximity sensor instead of a physical one... Does anyone have a solution to prevent accidentally accepting a call in the pocket without enabling pocket detection? Maybe some way to prevent phone calls from waking the screen?

First of all thanks for this great ROM!
I flashed the latest one incl. the kernel to fix FOD etc. but the screen brightness was very low so I flashed the 14th July build where it is much brighter.
One question: in settings>crdroid settings>lock screen is the option for "screen off fingerprint" which works when its enabled, but when it is disabled the fingerprint also vibrates (but not unlock) so the FP is enabled, isn't it wrong?
I thought If the option is disabled, the FP shouldn't work when the display is off but it vibrates for failed unlock.

hello, its great room i have ever used but i have some bug happen to me. i came from lineage os 18.1. if i using wifi for internet connection, all happen normal and no bugs. but, when i use my telco service internet (btw im using 4g connection, signal is so good), some apps getting connection timeout like ecommerce app in my country. its seems not loading the app content but just go with the timeout connection error. it happen too in los and crdroid. any one have a solution for this issue?

Hi everyone, I've been using this rom for a few days now and must say its very nice.
Smooth, fast, clean, works with everything I need.
No need to root or tinkering in my opinion.

I decided to get an F2 because it was on sale here, I needed a 2th phone in case something goes wrong with my mi 9t Pixel Experience (for MFA etc) and the specs are very very good, especially with the discount I got, so F2 will be my daily driver.

More important, it has a pop up front camera, which we won't be seeing anymore I'm afraid, and I would prefer not to have to go Snowden on my phone
It seems to me this phone deserves a lot more credit then is given.

Thank you raystef66 for your much appreciated work. I would prefer you keep the EOL far away, know that your work is greatly appreciated by everyone.


For people just starting with this, for me personally what worked best:
Read the forums...
- update to latest stock miui on phone
- flash twrp 3.5.x so data decryption works : 3.5.2 (I don't really understand why 3.4.2b is still recommended here, feel free to elaborate)
- flash fw_lmi_miui_LMIGlobal_V12.2.6.0.RJKMIXM_11.0
- flash crDroid rom
- flash Gapps
- reboot, setup, change fingerprint reader color to green and then add fingerprints, works pretty much flawless, NO real FOD issues
- flash QK_198_LMI_v11.0
- install gcam, I went with Urnyx's 7.3 v2.5, will test more in the future, many flavors out there
- optional Magisk 23.0 (I don't use it)
- profit!

I've had no real issues so far, except for one of the 2 sims not working with mobile data.
That's a know issue for this carrier, never the less if someone has a solution for me, please feel free , some info:
mobile data not working, apn correct
I'm not used to tinkering with efs and have no backup from stock rom.
I will probably be changing it to another carrier in the future.

I just tried (beta version) and I don't see any strange white bar. Even "Google" search bar can be disabled.

Hi. Does this ROM have the "do not validate" system certificates option in the WiFi advanced settings? Stock AOSP doesn't allow it (from Android 11) but MIUI does and I am wondering if crdroid has reenabled the option.

1 issue with this rom only:

Google Voice Assistant doesn't work. When I try to enable it tells me my phone isn't compatible.

Anyone else have this or know how to fix?
