Still not able to use Android Auto with my car (crDroid 7.4)

The phone just looks frozen when I plug in the USB cable. After a few seconds the car shows a popup saying that Android Auto has been disconnected. The app is launched in the background but doesn't connect.

The issue occurs with AA 6.0, 6.1, and 6.2. Older versions require to update the app.

Same here. But this problem was also present in 7.2.
There is another important issues for me in this new7.4 version.
I made a clean installation, but sometime battery is not charged and I must reboot the system.
Generally 7.2 is more fluid too
Anyway I prefer this fantastic ROM than the stock or pure lineage. Good work! Thanks

I can confirm the charging problem. It never happens in V7.2, but every time i will charge with V7.4.

Same for me. Not always, but really often. Need to reboot phone to begin charge.

It's a kernel related problem. We need to update kernel to v71 to solve it (v70 is the version in ROM package). I flashed ExtendedKernel EAS oldcam v71 and it seems to be OK now.

Since the new ROM and the latest Extended Kernel V71 I have some random lags, sometimes the UI slows down a lot.

I don't know what the problem is but 70% of the time when I plug in my device to charge it does not charge. it recognizes the charger and the usb port is also fine, but when i go to the battery section of the settings it says "plugged in, can't charge right now". the problem goes away with a reboot. is there any fix available??

Flash Extended Kernel V71 or V72 (EAS oldcam) then it'll be fine.

flashed EAS Kernel V72 ( old cam ) and the charge problem was solved. Till now there are no lags or slowdowns. All works stable.

I've just flashed this kernel (on a crdroid 7.4) and at first the camera (opencamera and stock crdroid camera app) failed completely and even crashed the phone. After a couple of reboot, the camera is working again.

As my son uses with a lot of fun the 7.5 on his RN8T Willow, I look forward to testing this version on my RN5Pro Whyred who will correct, I'm sure, the faults of the previous version 7.4!

Battery charging LED does not seem to work when charging.

I don't have any charging issues like what others have said.

Clean flash, stock kernel. I haven't done anything to the rom.
