Hi @Gaurav24,

thanks for the new release.
I've upgraded from June release to this one, but I have a black screen after booting the system.
The system seems up and running (I can hear notifications sounds), but the screen is black.

I am on TWRP 3.5.2, so I cleared cache, Dalvik and data. This let the phone work for 1 day; then I swtiched off my phone and, when I turn it on again, I experience the black screen again. Only the physical buttons seem active.

Could you please help me? Should I downgrade to June release? Should I do an hard reset clearing system too?

Thanks!

That happened to me too. Just hold down the power button until it reboots. That worked for me.

Unfortunately not in my case, I did an hard reset (system + dalvik + cache + data) and nothing changed. Black screen after the first reboot.
At the end, I had to roll back to June release; maybe it is something in my configuration, because, after flashing the rom, I recover apps and confs from my google account.

I experience this also after every reboot.
But if you shut down and start up again, he boots up as normal..
So there seems to be an issue in the rom but it works at second boot.

Hi.I updated to this version (latest plus) and asked about encryption on the official telegram chat. You told me to go to settings > security > encryption and select to encrypt the phone. It notified that it would take an hour or more to fully encrypt everything and to plug it to a charger and not to touch it. It has been more than 2 hours and after I said yes to encrypt the phone, it rebooted and is just showing the initial G logo without any changes. What should I do? Please help

Sounds awfully similar to previous Secure Boot bug. You could search through the thread, solutions have been discussed.

This has been a known continuing problem with previous versions from my experience also. Note Guarav claimed to have resolved it in this newer version, but from your experience, has not?
Anyway, "glad" you tried it before I did - saved me from some aggro.

Try factory reset if you can boot into bootloader

Yeah. Factory reset didn't work. Phone was stuck on boot (Bootup Google Image/bootloop?). I forced shut it down and booted into twrp recovery to format data (complete wipe). I had to setup my device again. I found that when I don't setup a screen lock pin or fingerprint the encryption occurs without any issues and reboots properly and I could us the device. I could then setup screen lock pin & fingerprint auth. The problem with this was that I had to restart the phone once (to use Vanced micro G) and the phone was once again stuck in bootloop. I believe it is best to just leave it unencrypted unless you truly need it

When I say encryption occurs - I had to manually go to security settings to encrypt the device and this worked for that instance. If you never have to reboot your device again then i think there wouldn't be any issues!

Actually, I also had to do the format etc.
I agree. Leave well alone until there is definitive proof encryption works.
