[ROM][11.0][ONEPLUS 5] crDroid Android 7.10 [22 SEP 2021]

Search This thread
For my installs I do this:
-have twrp installed (orangefox)
-wipe all except vendor
-format
-reboot back into recovery (sets initial folder structure)
-install firmware 10.0.1 (if you already are on this then ignore, you only need to do it once)
-install rom and gapps
-install xxx-no-verity
-reboot into system and go through login process
-reboot into twrp and install magisk
-reboot back into system and finish magisk install through app

did I miss anything? I like being decrypted cause I dont have anything important and I find it easier cause its old-school
Yep sounds right, also prefer decrypted for same reasons xD

Does anyone else have issues with the caller on the other end hearing an echo of their own voice when you use speakerphone? It seems to plague a lot of OnePlus phones, and some people have seemed to find a workaround with Hearing Aid Compatibility, but I can't find that option in the settings in CrDroid. Any suggestions?

yes, I can confirm that. speakerphone is unuseable during call due to the echo. I thought my phone is defective...

but I cant find the hearing aid compatibility setting on my phone?!?

When I had been connecting my phone to the Bluetooth in my car, all outbound calls sounded distorted/sped up. Kind of like a chipmunk voice. Inbound calls seem to work fine. I have red pocket (t-mobile network) service. I can reproduce the issue all day long.
I found a less than idea workaround. Disabling volte fixes the issue. I have no idea why this is an issue, and I lack the skills to fix it at the driver level.

When you hear the chipmunk sound, try turning the speakerphone on/off.

I'm sure it was entirely coincidental, but I had just replaced my battery (it wasn't stock as I had previously replaced it about 18 months ago, and the battery life was abysmal) and now the echo on the caller's end is now gone. Confirmed with multiple different callers. I really doubt that a failing battery would've been the culprit so I'm thinking something with having restarted my phone or something?

Considering many people have reported this issue, I doubt it is due to a failing battery.

has anyone advice on how to install the default camera app? some apps, which require a default camera, do not work. it seems that third party apps are no longer allowed as default camera on android 11.
