[ROM][11.0][ONEPLUS 5T] crDroid Android 7.10 [22 SEP 2021]

Been looking through this thread and I tried flashing the FlameGApps and Nikapps, but I can't get Android Auto with either gapps flashing to work for me. Any updates or suggestions?

Honestly I couldn't figure it out. Thoughts of buying a new phone came to mind or flashing a different rom (crdroid android 10 worked with android auto with open Gapps perfectly fine if you want that).

I'm hoping crdroid 7.5 might have some improvements

I also think android 11 has been a bad release. I do love it's improvements but not many people have it. People just did not buy new phones in my opinion this past year unless they needed to because saving money is the top of alot of people's list.

But I don't see many people talking about how alot of Android 11 phones even the non custom rom ones had issues with android auto. Also Gapps for Android 11 haven't properly released. Open Gapps has no android 11 version. Flame Gapps is just a beta.

Agreed. my brother in law got a pixel 4a5g and he mentioned had trouble with sharing photos in messenger and the launcher flashing a green hue at weird times.

That is very strange especially because that's Google first party. Like it doesn't get anymore android than that.

Do you have any ideas of what you might try for your issue? Like downgrade, try another rom, or maybe try a different phone? I actually am curious if lineage OS will work better since CR droid is built on lineage OS

I tried to toggle some settings, like smart pixels, voice typing, etc. But I wanted to try some older versions of Android Auto before I give up.

I remember smart pixels being on gave me alot of issues with giving apps feature permissions for example the allow button for an app requesting storage access is black so smart pixels does not let me press the button and it froze up.

Please do let me know if an old version of Android auto works for you. I can't tell which versions are meant for Android 11

IMPORTANT:
Recommend to use FLAME Basic Gapps + Search Assistant addon (Open Gapps has issue with synchronization)

Hi. Thanks for the rom. Everything appears to be working well. One problem though is 4k video recording isn't working for me. I receive this message after attempting to record.
Could not start media recorder. Invalid video encoder

Resetting the settings to default allows me to record again (at 1080p). I have the same problem using Nikita GCam 7.4 and 8.1. I clean flashed the rom and FLAME Basic. 10.0.1 firmware. Are others having this problem?

No I mean what Oxygen OS firmware. According to the install instructions you need to be on the latest Oneplus OOS which is 10.0.1 before installing crDroid. So check what version you are running now and if it is an older version you'll need to download the latest OOS from Oneplus and manually install it through the updater in your phone.

Unfortunately I bumped into bootloop on upgrading to the current 29/04 rom. Bad me that had not taken any backup etc. Infact was trying to control the need to upgrade since it was launch, but went into it while I was half asleep. Tried flashing the earlier 20/03 but no success.

just too lazy to try anything more or reset! Switched off phone is a nice feeling.

Just need some help tips on way forward....

Btw had to flash Magisk too, Google app too was crashing so had reinstall that to fix.

Anyhow probably I am on day 45 or so and the ROM is simply amazing and complete. No ask for any more features or requests. Just perfect and daily long driver.

I'm running a Pixel Experience Custom rom now, maybe that's the reason y I can't flash the crDroid?
