I haven't seen any split screen In the rom. Usually it's accessed in your recent apps, but I don't see it. I could be wrong though. And not sure if you figured out the chat bubble thing, but that's in android messages app itself, in the settings.

I installed the rom yesterday, great so far but since yesterday evening I can't update apps over the play store, it says something displays on top, does anyone have the same issue? Could not find something in the thread about it.

Why is it that I am unable to use my camera app on Facebook messenger? Additionally, how can I flash magisk now that I'm done setting up the rom?

So if anyone is interested: a Google live wallpaper was causing the overlay problem, pretty weird, also when I switch on power saving mode, same bug.

Hi,
Install "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" on your pc
Download Magisk 23.zip and put it in the folder "Minimal ADB and Fastboot"

Reboot in recovery,
Go to 1) Install update
2) ADB Sideload
On your pc,
Execute cmd-here, then in cmd.exe "adb sideload Magisk-v23.0.zip"
Reboot

Hello,

I've flashed this ROM a few hours ago and I'm quite happy with it, it doesn't have that many features but they all seem to be working properly. Fingerprint works well, flashing was fine but I had to wipe sdcard since I earlier was on october security patch.

Just a few things I noticed:

1) It's not possible to change slider button settings (mute/vibrate/normal). It would be a nice addition.
2) I don't think color profiles match the OOS ones. For example, the "natural" one seems way too saturated. Only "adaptative" seems to give natural/srgb results.
3) On cold boot, the FOD icon should be hidden since it's not possible to unlock the phone with it.
4) With stock kernel, performance is quite poor imo. Lots of stuttering. Flashing Neutrino fixes all issues though, so it's not top priority.
5) Screen randomly flashes at might brightness when waking up the phone. I've noticed the same bug on CrDroid, jaguar. I assume it's related to LOS?

Not seeing support for TWRP on their site for this model from the link in OP.
Downloaded and set up ADB on my PC.

TWRP is still in Alpha, you'll find it in a search of the parent forum (i.e. https://xdaforums.com/f/oneplus-8t-roms-kernels-recoveries-other-deve.11587). Don't worry too much about the alpha part, it's just due to the weirdness with getting it to stick between a/b slots.

Would it be ok to flash ROM via TWRP? As in,

Boot into latest TWRP
Format data
Format cache
Flash ROM

Am I missing any steps if I were to use TWRP ? Or is it better to flash via fastboot ?

You can try, if you have errors try the fastboot way. In any case, you'll have to wipe data (including all files) if you're currently on October patch.

On other phones I'd have the option within TWRP to wipe /data and /system .

Within TWRP how would I wipe /system ? Or does /data include system ?

I'm trying to keep from formating my external drive .

You don't need to wipe system, only factory reset or the whole data partition if you're on a newer patch.

Hi. A few days ago I tested the hdmi capabilities of OnePlus 8t and I came across an issue - 60hz lock. As far as I am concerned - it happens on all phones except nubia redmagic, so it seems to be a software limitation. Does ur rom support 120hz hdmi output?

Experience is great. Battery is excellent, although I have had a couple of apps go rogue and chew through battery in a day, but its rare.

What text would you copy from recents screen? Not sure what you mean.

Why in my phone have a problem with battery in idle. if i go to sleep with 49% i wake up with 21%.
