Updated to lineage-18.1-20220213-UNOFFICIAL-pme.zip
- AudioFX working again
- also Spotify OK -> playlists not empty anymore and in Spotify settings my profile name was shown with real name

Now back to lineage-18.1-20220507-UNOFFICIAL-pme.zip
- AudioFX is still OK
- Spotify again NOK -> playlists empty, and in setting profile shown with kryptic name

as expected. did you reinstall spotify after updates or clear app data/cache after going back to may build ?
as long as the profile (user) is not correct all lists should be empty...

Yes, tried both of them after going back to build from May, but did not work on my side.
Spotify only working up to build from March, starting with April it is broken.

Also reboot problems with March build are less than compared to May build.
Will stay with March build + Magisk for now.

OK.
from log provided on Spotify the NPR is due to a call in libc (!)
if you can check same but on latest LOS 19.1 (clean install) might help to narrow down the core issue

Thank you for this great work!
After some years I'm back here in this forum again.

I've bought a really cheap HTC 10 with bad battery to test a backup before wipe it and set it to default preferences, but then I saw this option to upgrade Android from 8.0 to 11 or higher! Cool idea.

Why I would reset my HTC 10?
I had a small optical/graphical bug in the German App eBay-Kleinanzeigen (some lines were dissapearing while you scrolls up and down, it was really annoying!) and first I thought of a configuration problem of old HTC files and Android 8 and google Chrome that engine makes the graphic, isn't it?

But although a new installed and clean startup of Android 8 has this bug on the HTC 10, so I decided to test this ROM!

Most of the August-Security-Version works fine (the september file was down in that night).

My little questions:
  • Is it possible to get back the old HTC camera app to work on Android 11? Installed version uses mostly to dark display brightness control and I can't set an individual ISO.
  • What about the Boom-Sound enhancements?

A little problem I found in battery recognition. In system tray an over the app "AccuBattery Pro", often the actual percentage hangs while HTC is pluged in (charge mode). At the moment I charged via USB analyzer from 1% near to 85 % (1350 mAh), but it shows only 7 %

No - all stock Oreo HTC apps relies on sense framework which is not available on LineageOS (AOSP).
you can use apps like GCAM, Wavelet or Viper to same or even better outcome.

    LineageOS is based on AOSP with contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. If needed you can install any GApps package available for R.
    LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
    The source code for LineageOS is available at Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to Lineage OS, please visit Gerrit Code Review. LineageOS changelog is whatever was merged into Gerrit.

    Instructions:
    1. make a FULL backup first from your actual system.
    2. before installing make sure you are running the latest stock Oreo from the latest HTC Sense.
    3. install as recovery the latest TWRP recovery 3.5.0_9-0 ( thanks @Captain_Throwback )
    4. if you are encrypted, - coming from stock Oreo - take a full backup of all your data, boot into TWRP and format data (the option which requires you to type "yes") and clean flash accordingly.
      This is due to encryption changes. Do not skip this step or you will be locked out of your system by a password prompt.
    5. after format /data you must reboot to recovery to be able to copy needed files to flash on /sdcard
    6. download the latest ROM zip and GApps (optional - if needed) from the downloads section below
    7. wipe system, cache, and data if coming from another AOSP based rom
    8. flash ROM zip in TWRP, add install more zip's and flash also GApps (optional), thus you get best integration of vanilla LOS with GApps;
    9. reboot to system and make initial settings & configurations; also check and configure your apps permissions;
      Note: don't enable option Lineage recovery during setup as you will lose TWRP (overwrite by LOS Recovery app) and you need to reinstall it again!
    10. optional: flash the latest Magisk and reboot to system to setup Magisk app [wait for it to load]
    Enjoy ;) latest LOS 18.1 [Android 11] on your HTC 10.
