Chrome updates fine here. If it does not update immediately, come back in a day or two and try again.

I don't think the issue of Telegram is ROM related. Apparently telegram implement voice messages more like a phone call than a music playback. One proof of this is that if you play a voice message, minimize telegram, and then place your hand near the top bezel of the phone to block the proximity sensor, you will see your screen go black, as if you are in a phone call. This is why you do not have any notifications or icons.
About chrome, yes now it's working.

And Telegram. Played some voice, minimized a window, and then placed a hand to cover the whole top part of the screen.
Still working, not even trying to change a state of the screen. But, with the playing of sound attachments , I see a music in opened status bar from telegram. (if you won't open, you hear only music and there is no icon on status bar). Cheked the System - "Settings" - "Notifications" -"Telegram" . Everything turned on, and cheked again after reboot. Same result.

Like I said, it seems that telegram uses different implementations between voice messages and other music files. If you are not happy about that, talk to Telegram. There is nothing I can do on the system side.

I used lastest BSG GCAM and everythings work well
I've installed cloned 8.0 BSG GCAM the rest doesn't even install one thing that's bothering me is that it doesn't use second lens on the back and app crashes multiple times while capturing multiple photos in latest beta build of PE. Is there any GCAM that's stable and doesn't crash? I've tried 7.3 it was pretty stable but that version doesn't install on latest PE build.

Have you tried installing from CyanogenMod website for mix 2s? Everyone of them work on mine, except only the 7.4 version have everything works (dual camera option and stabilisation).

I use MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV0j_snap.apk from here and everything works fine https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/

arter97 says in reddit that zswap/vnswap is newer and more efficient than zram, is it possible to enable that in etude kernel? also is it possible to underclock cpu and gpu for battery saving without root?
First, polaris has at least 6GB of RAM so you shouldn't make use of zram very often.
Second, zswap/vnswap is not always better than zram and I tried it half a year ago. The experience wasn't great.

CPU overclock/underclock is not possible on sdm845 because Qualcomm designated OSM initialization to TZ and no longer takes the value from kernel. You may be able to underclock GPU slightly but the battery saving is negligible. Adreno 630 on sdm845 runs at minimum frequency (257MHz) almost all the time and even in many games, because the GPU frequency governor does not raise frequency unless the load is somewhere above 60%. Besides, GPU power consumption is more related to the task and load rather than GPU frequency, at least from what I observed. Therefore, theoretically you can make the min GPU frequency even lower, but that won't give you more power saving, and you may have UI rendering frame drops because a burst high load will not finish in time.

I've tried this version as well but stabilisation is still shaky though.

Btw, anyone here know if there's an indication that Volte works? On PE 10 i can see HD indicator on screen during call but on PE 11 i don't see them anymore.
It does use second lense though and I never experienced crashing

Thanks for your update. I found some strange problem with google setup after flash PE+
The setup seem buggy, i entered my gg acc to restore my app and data, suddenly the setup restart, after that i can continue setup. After finishing backup, i find that gg stop restore my app, and when chosing to finish pixel setup, it asks me to reenter my gg acc, i entered my acc but the setup stop again. So confusing, i am flashing the rom again to see if it continue to bug again
/the problem still the same after flashing rom again. So i cant restore my old app/sms data

I just did the same thing: format data with a clean flash, put in my Google account to restore the backup from the cloud, finished initial setup, successfully restored all apps, and didn't see a single crash. I don't know what happened to your phone...

I found the problem after trying many times with PE and PE+. It come from my previous rơm: xiaomi.eu. When choosing restore from old cloud back up, i choose restore wifi and device settings. Maybe miui backup some setting to google cloud that can't compatible with PE, so the setup is bugged. After trying to not restore device settings, the setup is working normally. Now all i miss is all my wifi password. LoL

Even if it didn't crash, it's not suggested to restore cloud backup from a different ROM, especially from a backup of MIUI that is so different from AOSP. It may seem to work initially, but you could run into weird issues that are impossible to debug later.

Hi, I just came from Arrow OS 11 to this PE+, and I noticed the wifi speed is considerably slower (300+mbps to less than 150-180mbps).
Is anyone else experiencing something similiar?

EDIT: It randomly started working correctly. Maybe it was downloading something in the background I wasn't aware of.

You can get the latest version of the OrangeFox or TWRP recoveries to replace the need for adb sideload. The latest versions of these recoveries support the new encryption scheme of Android 11.
You can if you have completed the initial installation process by formatting data with PE recovery. The latest version of OrangeFox and TWRP can decrypt the partition correctly.

However, DO NOT use them to format data and complete the initial flash. You may end up having a broken encryption.

I have a bootloop after update from PE Standard 02/21 to PE Standard 03/21 =(

After the Google Logo i see the Lockscreen for few seconds and then he go back to the Google logo and the same thing go again Lockscreen > Google Logo > Lockscreen > and so on. I cant do anything =(
I did not release any build on 02/21, and today is 03/16 or 03/17 depending on your location. Are you sure your device is polaris (Xiaomi Mi Mix2s) and you are not from the future with a time machine?

If yes, refer to the note in 0218 changelog for the solution: https://jjpprrrr.com/pe/20210218-1327/

I've been using the Plus variant of this ROM since it came out and couldn't be happier, as I used to use it in the Android 10 lifetime.

The only thing that's bugging me is the proximity sensor that isn't working properly, but I'll try to clean it and then check again.

    Many thanks, @jjpprrrr .
No the "Phone" app from Google does not support call recording, and no there's currently no long screenshot feature.

Please reply sir...After updating PE plus 11 stable rom, I found lineageos snap cam on my mi mix 2s,I don't like that ...how can I uninstall snap cam? I don't found snap cam to delete in recovery/system/product/app and also system/priv/app.....what can I do sir.....
If you don't like it, don't use it. What's wrong with that? Why do you have to delete it?

    * then install the incremental package
    * you will NOT lose any data. This is simply deleting a symlink for SAR support.
    - If your partition is not encrypted, your phone may not boot properly after flashing the update. This is because the zram optimizations changes fstab, so the previous fstab patched by the "disable forced encryption patch" you had on your phone is overwritten. Therefore, you need to flash the patch to disable forced encryption again. If you use OrangeFox, you can also flash the full package, because OrangeFox will automatically patch your phone after flashing full package.

    * Fixed double tap to wake on Mix 2s with ebbg screens
    * Reduced LED blinking frequency under low battery, without interfering with notification LED
Note: PE has been improving their OTA updater recently and some work is still in progress. Clicking "install" in the updater may cause install error for now. You might need to manually flash the incremental package in recovery.
Update: Updater is only supposed to work with encrypted device. If your phone is not encrypted (OrangeFox disables forced encryption by default), you need permissive SELinux to be able to use the updater.

Here is a quick way to change SELinux status if you have root:
    Code:
    abd shell
    su
    setenforce 0
    getenforce
You should then see "Permissive" being printed in the shell.

Note: Some third party recoveries have got an update to support *decryption* on android 11:
    - OrangeFox R11.0.1 Stable
    - TWRP 3.4.0_9-20201216 Unofficial by palaych
You will be able to enter your password and decrypt the /data partition in those recovery builds. However, during our testing process, formatting data is still a hit or miss. Some users will get working encryption upon the initial format and boot, but others will have a broken encryption and may need another data format. /data will appear to be encrypted, the recovery will prompt you to enter password, but if you skip/cancel the password prompt, you will see that files are not actually encrypted. This does not happen to everyone using TWRP/OrangeFox, and the cause is still being investigated.
Therefore, format data with PE recovery is still required for clean flash.
If you are already on the previous PE 11 build, OTA or dirty flash is fine.

    PE recovery flash guide[Required]:
    - Download PE recovery from the the polaris device page of official PE website
    - Boot your phone into fastboot mode. You can either
    * Hold power + volume down button
    * or `adb reboot bootloader`
    * or use the `Reboot to bootloader` option in TWRP/OrangeFox
    - Connect your phone to a computer
    - Run `fastboot flash recovery pe_recovery_file_name.img` in your cmd/powershell/terminal
    - Hold power + volume up to boot into recovery

    PE 11 ROM flash guide[Required]:
    - Boot into PE recovery
    - Select `Factory reset" --> "Format data/factory reset`
    - Go back to main menu and select "Apply update" --> "Apply from ADB"
    - Connect your phone to a computer
    - Run `adb sideload pe_rom_file_name.zip` in your cmd/powershell/terminal and wait until it finishes
    - Reboot to system

    ==============================
Old guide for android 10 builds:

    Flash guide:
    1. Use latest OrangeFox recovery R11.0 (or newer) or TWRP 3.3.1-1 (or newer)
    2. If you have been using MIUI or any of its variants, you have to format data.
    - you may have to reboot to recovery again after formatting data
    3. Wipe system & data & cache & dalvik cache
    4. Install ROM
    5. Reboot to system

Note: Official maintainer of PE for polaris has been changed. Clean flash is highly recommended for those coming from the deprecated official build from Oct 2019. I will not offer any help if you've dirty flashed.
