Hello @semdoc
Great work on this ROM. One of the best custom ROM for OnePlus 8 Pro. Although they are weekly builds, it is so stable and no app crashed. I tried PE and Paranoid too. PE was stable when it first released around December 20 but now it is not.

I observed below minor issues I faced in my last 3 days of testing and wanted to share with you.

1. Brightness in dark environments is comparatively high and when I enable DC dimming I observed no change.

2. I didn't root my device and still my bank applications like HDFC and Google Pay are not working on this ROM.

3. "Identify music with now playing" crashes when you try to turn on.
Crash log URL: https://haste.aicp-rom.com/seferobiqa

4. Screen temperature fluctuates between warm and cool on its own even when night sight is turned off completely.

Nothing else, ROM is super solid and thanks for your work. (y)

2. Could sound counter intuitive ,but rooting would enable you to use the hide feature which could help hide the changes made within the ROM.

4. Are you noticing this on your browser? Namely chrome? It has an inbuilt light balance feature you can turn off. If its outside of chrome then it may be ROM related

Okay... So it seems features and questions rise up.
We risk getting banned from GitHub on most of these requests, so I try to sort this out a bit:

1. OOS Camera and Gallery are proprietary apps that cannot make it in official builds. We usually try to make them installable and working as far as we can though.

2. Extended screenshot was a "k**ged" apk from oneplus and is proprietary too. It leaded to closing many ROMs sources on GitHub.

3. Face unlock is the same and was "extracted" from Motorola. It is not even supported by Google because of security reasons and did the same to ROM sources as described above (1.).

4. No we cannot add more weather providers as the implementations change and we (the ROM) nowerdays have to pay for most services. THAT IS not cheap.🤔
So we try to get the best free service we can get so far or users have to apply for their own API keys to use a service. Sorry.

I hope that lightens up some questions in here.🙋

2. I didn't understood it but I used PE too and there was no issue with Google Pay or HDFC bank applications.
4. No it is not limited to chrome or any browser for that matter but I observed it across the system.

2. Yes, keep in mind that this is still an unofficial build and google makes it harder to bypass their security measures for custom ROMs. It is a "cat&mouse chase" game for us to always get CTS certification inline as an unlocked bootloader always is a culprit. It can be "hidden" but is a hard thing to do without Magisk and requires internal ROM changes that we still discuss.

4. Like I said... Still in testing and thus not perfect. 😔

Will take a look. I think I found a solution for Now Playing crash.... But let me test it first...
About 2nd: yeah. Same here. Safetynet is a real PITA.
About 4th amendment 🤣 : just disable Display White Balance under Settings - Display ...

In regards to getting gpay to work, I just uninstalled magisk manager then it let me set it up.

Just reinstall it from there and verify root is still working..

Goes to show that GPay is only looking for magisk manager..

Then why not just use the hide magisk manager in settings?

Hello, is there a step by step guide to flash this rom on oos with root? I have the o + 8 pro with oos 11.0.4.4.IN11BA and Magisk 22.0. I would like to flash the Rom, but I need root

    1. while you are rooted, I suppose you unlocked your bootloader.
    2. connect your phone to your PC. Make sure you enabled adb under Settings -> Developper options
    3. adb reboot bootloader
    4. fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (the link for our recovery.img was posted in 2nd post)
    5. boot to recovery.
    6. factory reset - that will erase everything including your internal storage.
    7. in recovery: Apply Update - Apply Update from ADB -> tap on ADB
    8. adb sideload ROM.zip.
    9. Once it finishes, boot to system. No need to flash GAPPS - they are included already.
    10. Set your phone.
    11. reboot to recovery to flash Magisk 21.4 zip. (link for Magisk zip was shared in 2 nd post)
    12. flash Magisk zip via adb sideload Magisk.zip
    13. reboot.
    14. you are DONE.

    NOTES:
** no need to erase internal storage on updates from older AICp version - Just flash via adb sideload new ROM.zip
** Magisk shall be flashed after every ROM flashing.

    04.04.2021 Update !!!

    New build guys:

    Download aicp_instantnoodlep_r-16.1-WEEKLY-20210404.zip from HERE.
    Changelog: link HERE.

-- There is no GAPPS in the ROM.zip.

    Download GAPPS from:

MindTheGapps or OpenGapps Android 11 Nano

    How to install:
    1. Go to recovery. Format data if you want to flash clean.
    2. Apply Update from ADB
    3. then adb sideload aicp_instantnoodlep_r-16.1-WEEKLY-20210404.zip
    4. Reboot to recovery
    5. Flash Gapps via adb sideload GAPPS.zip
** İmportant: Android Auto fails to connect with OpenGapps. All good with MindTheGapps
** There is no DevicePersonalization app in these - if you want, I can provide a modified GAPPS package
    6. If you want to switch in between GAPPS packages, just flash other GAPPS package on the new flash. Clean flash isn't trivial, but recommended....

*** Next flashes can go through Updater or adb sideload.
** If you flash via Updater, backup tool will handle your gapps - no need to reflash them again.
** GAPPS need to be flashed on every update if you flash via adb sideload. Flash them as it is described above.

    What's new?

** Stock vibration patterns are back
    ** App Lock from AOSP-A
** Neutrino Kernel updated to 4.19.183
    ** and many more....

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!

Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-R with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.

If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>

    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
    * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

    You tell... :p

    FAQ:
    Before using the ROM:
    Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
    A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.

    Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
    A. No. You can still use them, but the discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!

    Flashing the ROM:
    Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
    A. Check the flashing instructions...

    Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
    A. Yes, this is the usual behavior on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.

    Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
    A. Wipe the System, Cache, and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.

    Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to lose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to lose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterward.

    Using the ROM:

    Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
    A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. Do not post the content here. Thanks.)

    Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section on the AICP Extras main page.

    instructions.png

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android R. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.

It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.

How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)

GAPPS are included in ROM. As we still don't have TWRP for eleven builds, flashing process is a "little bit" different than usual.

If you are comming from Stock ROM.
** Be sure you have adb enabled from Developper Settings
** Download AICP Recovery from HERE
    ** Boot to Download mode.
    $ fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    ** Now boot to recovery
    -- 1. Factory Reset
-- 2. Apply Update -> Apply from ADB
-- 3. flash your build using adb sideload ROM.zip from your PC

If you are comming from other Custom ROM:
    ** boot to recovery
    -- Factory Reset
-- Apply Update -> Apply from ADB
-- flash your build using adb sideload ROM.zip from your PC. Please note that it will ends with following error: "adb: failed to read command: Success" Ignore it.
    -- Reboot and Enjoy !!!

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
For flash using the built-in OTA app: Till we start official builds from AICP servers:
** Connect your device, enable USB debugging and Adb Root under Settings -> Developper Options
** move the downloaded build to your internal sdcard
** Open cmd window (for Windows) or terminal (for Linux systems) - make sure you have adb drivers installed !!!
    ** $ adb root
$ adb shell setenforce 0 (your device will switch to Permissive selinux mod till Updater finishes flashing local update)
** Go to AicpExtras -> Update Center -> Click on 3 dots on right upper corner -> Choose File.. -> Choose your builld from local storage -> Start update
** After reboot your device will boot in Enforcing Selinux mode again.

    or Flash via adb sideload:
    ** reboot to recovery
** enable ADB and flash downloaded build using adb sideload
** Please note that it will ends with following error: "adb: failed to read command: Success" (becoz of recovery itself). Ignore it.
    ** Reboot and Enjoy !

No need to flash clean on every update from older builds.

Currently supported Root Solution: Only ADB ROOT !!!

Magisk versions >= Not really tested. ADB Root is working fine, but you can flash, test and report your experience with Magisk
** Check 2nd post for further information.
