I enabled local terminal from Dev options but opening the terminal made the device restart. Then I installed Termux but it said- no such directory found after writing the command (su -c "cat /proc/last_kmsg" > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt).
Today the device started restarting itself in a loop. It became unusable to I had to flash the ROM again. Then I installed TikTok Lite v17.9.1 and opening it trhice or twice made the phone take restart. I tried to grab last_kmsg via SysLog App (last_kmsg option is greyed out) and Termux (Operation not permitted) but none of those worked.
    ..
Note that now the ROM seems quite snappy & smooth after reflashing. But random freezing and restarting issues tend to appear after a few days of usage.
    1. last_kmsg required ROOT permissions to access it.
    2. You have to pull them at the first boot right after the reboot.

Followed those instructions of grabbing last_kmsg right after the restarting due opening of the app. And root permission was given as well.

I noticed that, last_kmsg can be accessed after normal restartings (like, when the device is restarted manually) but it can't be found if the device restarts itself due the openings of apps or functions.

After restarting the device manually, the 'last_kmsg' option in the SysLog app can be checked and the logs can be grabbed, but not (the option is greyed out) when the device restarts itself due to opening of apps.

[After putting the command inside quotation marks, Termux requested for getting root permission for the first time, but it didn't find any last_kmsg file after the root permission was granted.].

goodeve sirs, trying to install TWRP on my mi3 on miui 7.3.1, android 4.4.4, build number: KTU84P. Flashed the latest TWRP for cancro via ADB successfully but i can't boot into recovery mode. Even tried using "fastboot boot recovery.img" command to no avail. I'd really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

-You need adb and fastboot (installed correctly on your PC. Like minimal adb and fastboot app)
-You need turn on Developer options on your phone. And also turn on USB debugging on.
-ok. Then you need a DOS-box (command prompt) on your pc, in adb and fastboot folder
-then type on DOS-box "adb devices" if pc see your phone, then you will see a new message on your phone. Accept it.
-then type "adb reboot bootloader" and your phone will rebooting to fastboot mode
-then type "fastboot devices" if your pc see correctly your phone, you will see your phone in DOS-box. for example:
    "fastboot devices 65eft4e2"
-the type "fastboot reboot" and your phone will reboot to normal mode

This is first lession. If you made this steps, write, and I will give you next steps.

      Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
