i am on firmware 12.5.3 , is this okay to install in this version?
when we will get aug security update?

You need to read the Original Post carefully my friend. Everything you need to know is there. In particular, look at the "Detailed Flashing Instructions" link provided. For your ease of reference, I shall also provide the said link hereunder:

Short answer is that from the detailed instructions, it appears that if you are on the stock 12.5.3 MIUI Rom, it is okay to flash this ROM.

Separate and apart from the foregoing, it is impolite and disrespectful to the developers to ask for updates. We are not entitled to these Custom ROMS. The Developers do this of their own volition and are kind enough to share them with us. It is a privilege we enjoy, not a right.

I'm facing sudden restart after installing 3.7 version, was trying to troubleshoot the issue by removing recently installed apps but that also didn't fixed the issue.

Lately restart started happening multiple times on daily basis.

Another issue is VOLTE (JIO) turning off intermittently and have to restart the phone to enable the volte, started missing lot of calls due to this.

Not sure what to do, may have to try new ROM or try EU Miui rom as there are not much stable ROMs available for Poco X3 Pro.

I clean flashed the updated 3.8 Rom and it appears to be noticeably faster and smoother. Of note, random crashes I have had with KWGT have stopped and scrolling in the browser is now consistently smooth. Thank you for your hard work. Not too sure how I feel about the "bumpy boy" effect in the settings page. Lol. I may have to get used to it. ;)

Overall performance is fantastic.

to be fair, 3.7 was also fast and smooth but was just a hair slower than my Oneplus 7 pro (12GB/256 GB) at opening apps, setting, etc when tested side by side (OP7 running oxygen OS 11). However, with the 3.8 update, the Poco X3 pro now blows the OP7 out of the water. I also tested it against my friend's Oneplus 8T and it also smoked it in general responsiveness, fluidity and app opening speed. Furthermore, there was a bit of a scrolling modifier bug in 3.7 that lead to stuttery scrolling in web browsers; usually at the part of the page where a video thumbnail tries to automatically play while scrolling. 3.8 fixed it.

I have not used the ANX module as I have found that the BSG Gcam 8 port with the right config file produces superior photos to the stock camera and I am satisfied with it. I really don't want to inject any form of miui code into this beautiful rom, whether as a miui core magisk module or otherwise. Lol.

Battery performance gets me about 8 to 10 hours screen on time for about 2 days battery life. Mainly for YouTube, emails, forums, etc. I do play pubg on it for an hour or so but I tend to still use my razer phone 2 for pubg as my squad and I play competitively and I still have to get the hang of the new form factor (I have already refined my claw layout, and sensitivity perfectly for the razer phone 2, not feeling to rework it and re-learn it for the Poco as yet). I can say pubg runs well on this phone and does not overheat or throttle in my limited experience thus far.
Other than that, I have not really gamed on this ROM as yet.

However, I installed the Dolby Atmos Razer phone 2 module on this ROM and wow. The difference in sound quality is phenomenal. Much better than on stock too.

NFC payments work?
8-10 SOT with what brightness level?
Face unlock? Fingerprint just as fast as stock?
Also, ANX is useful for video, since gcam is not as good in that area.
Did you notice any difference between the new OSS build vs the older Vendor ones?

Never used NFC payments so I can't comment on that. Face unlock works. I usually keep my screen brightness between 15% (in dark rooms) to around 80% when outdoors. However, most of the time it happily sits at around 30 to 40% brightness. Fingerprint appears to be as fast as on stock or at the very least, I never perceived any lag in waking the screen.

As to OSS vs Vendor build; I know OSS is supposed to be better but I cannot say there is any noticeable difference that I can attribute to that alone. 3.7 was fast and fluid. 3.8 is slightly more so. I have noticed that the proximity sensor in calls seems to work a hell of a lot better in 3.8 During calls in 3.7, the screen would wake up from time to time if the phone shifted even slightly which would result in my accidentally pressing a plethora of buttons with my face. Haven't had the issue since updating.

There is only one "bug" which I also had in 3.7 However, I think it is more of a google thing (pixel issue). Namely, if I restart the phone (or at random at times) adaptive brightness decides to drop all the way to 1% if it detects any dimness in the surroundings. Once I set it back to my desired brightness, it seems to remember all my other preferences. However, once I restart, it always initially sets to 1% in dim rooms rather than my preferred 15 to 30%.

I can't find version 3.8

Me either, there is no 3.8 version on the vayu folder....

Where is it?

I think the OP may have forgotten to provide the updated link. I downloaded it directly from the PixelPlusUI website.

For the sake of convenience, I have provided the link hereunder:

MOD EDIT: Link Removed

I hope it proves helpful and if possible, kindly donate to the Devs. This is truly an awesome ROM that has turned an okay phone (software wise) into one I absolutely adore.

Thanks, brother. I updated to 3.9 but the random restart problem still exists.

I have some important questions though.
Is this rom based on OSS vendor? I mean should I download the firmware only (Not MIUI stock rom) and flash the firmware file, then flash the rom and then format and restart?
Or should I go back to stock MIUI firmware and then flash Pixel Plus UI?
And if this rom is based on OSS vendor, from which version of Pixel Plus UI rom is OSS based rom?

Someone who has the knowledge please answer these questions...

NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.

    CLEAN FLASH :

    - Download the latest build
    - Reboot to recovery.
    - Take a backup.
    - Flash recommended firmware
    - Flash the latest build
    - Format Data
    - Flash DFE [If you want to decrypt else u can skip]
    - Reboot :p

    DIRTY FLASH :
    - Download the latest build
    - Reboot to recovery
    - Flash recommended firmware
    - Wipe Dalvik and Cache
    - Flash the latest build
    - Flash DFE [If you want to decrypt else u can skip]
    - Reboot :p

    What works?

Wifi | RIL | Mobile data | GPS | Camera
    Flashlight | Camcorder | Bluetooth | Fingerprint reader | Lights | Sound | vibration
    Almost everything

    What doesn't work?

    Nothing yet
    You tell me! :p

I just realized that when turning on the battery saver option to on, then among other restrictions, the dark theme is applied mandatory. This may be a noob question, but I was under the impression that the dark theme saves battery only on amoled displays. So, if this is correct, and since the poco x3 pro has an ips display, there is probably no battery saving by applying the dark theme.
Can some more experienced and knowledgeable members comment if the above is valid statement?

Also is there a way to separate battery saver from the dark theme (or maybe the developer can do something about it) as quite a few people with vision problems do not like the dark mode but still need to use battery saver.
Your statement is absolutely right brother.
But the feature is backed into the rom. Currently based on what I know, we can't use light theme while using battery saver. Developers might be able to solve the problem. So, it's upto our developer now.
