Edit: dont forget factory reset.

Do I need to be on the global Oxygen OS ROM or am I okay to be using the T-Mobile variant, IN2017? My device is factory unlocked, but cannot get the conversion to work.

Here's my home screen as it should be, but at times both home & lock screen show solid black instead of a wallpaper. Pull down notification & you can see wallpaper, but raising it returns the black screen. Happens with stock launcher & Nova Prime.
Anyone else have this "bug" or know what's up?

Letting anyone else know that was not able to convert their device for the T-Mobile OnePlus 8 5G that you do not need to convert in order to flash this ROM. You can flash the ROM as soon as you have bootloader unlocked. Currently running it rooted with Magisk and everything is working flawlessly.

You only have to convert to flash global. All these aosp roms work out the box for carrier version op8 variants.

This is mostly true, but we have only received the first update to A11. If an OTA or update is installed which changes the active partition, it will completely break, causing crashdump. Currently, the only way to ensure you have A11 in both slots is to convert to global. Even this ROM will break with an update on non-converted T-Mobile devices.

I have been able to use Pixel Call Screen, yeah. I didn't need to do anything to enable it or set it up either, it just works.

Verizon op8. Just set up. Everything so far is perfect. I mean . Very nice build love Google pixel roms. Thanks for the good work.

Edit ...added my own Verizon apn's 5g kicked right up. So far amazing think I've found a new home. Charging time to full is even right ! Have already experienced the wallpaper going black issue. Not a deal breaker. I'll try and get a logcat next time it does this. Lastly "hey Google doesn't work but doesn't on anything other than stock for me & is there any way to make signal icons in statusbar larger. My old eyes can barely see if it's 4or 5 g.!! This is the one thing I would make different. Can't see signal icons because they are the old version I'm thinking and very small

This isn't true . You can go to lineage os home page and under wiki instructions you can use the copy partitions zip. It copies what's on current slot which would be A11 in your case. To the opposite slot. This is what it's for. Give it a go
