After several tries i give it up, no success.

- official twrp 3.5.2_9
- latest rom
- latest nik gapps

Installed once again oos11 on both slots
Factory reset (Delete data) with yes confirm
Reboot, Install ROM and TWRP
Reboot, Install Gapps and Magisk

Also i tried to delete cache, system, data, internal and factoryreset, with and without magisk and gapps.
I have warned users not to install full OOS 11 upgrade. It's better to use firmware only update, see attached, (credit to Evolution X team), which excludes OOS 11 bootloader. Just flash it in TWRP and you can use official TWRP with no problems.

Explanation: Official TWRP cannot handle OOS 11. That's why you get qualcomm crash.

Nebrassy's TWRP can handle OOS 11, but it can't do factory reset. That's why you could still use your password.

I don't think you should blame the rom for this. I bet Sony earbuds are not compatible. Are they wired? Then there may be a different resistance issue. I know that my old sony headset refused to work with Onepluses, even when I had Oneplus 5. If you connect your phone to a PC, enable adb and run 'adb logcat' from PC terminal, you will see screaming entries that something is wrong.
is this good rom for heavy gaming?
any gaming things? game mode or smth??
pls help im done with fps drop
There is a gaming mode.

Thank you for the answer.

It's wireless, with Bluetooth. Only with that...

No. The firmware zip does not contain bootloader, so, you need to flash OOS 10 in both slots, then the firmware zip, which will update everything except bootloader. Once done, the official TWRP installer would work fine.

P.S. Don't wait for TWRP: it's been 2 years since dynamic partitions appeared on Android, and there is still no official version to support them, not to mention that you can't use TWRP's backup/restore function on almost any device, unless you want to screw your phone.

can I extract latest oos11's payload file and replace the img files in the firmware zip to create a new firmware update zip? or the files in the zip are modified?

Yes, If you know what you are doing.

No, the files are not modified. What you probably want to do is: extract OOS 10 bootloader and add it to this zip, because all files there are from OOS 11. The firmware update is designed for those who have OOS 10 to upgrade to OOS 11 except for bootloader.

Keep in mind that adding an image to firmware won't automatically install it, as you need to modify the script. If you have no experience in developing, don't do it, you will brick your phone, and you might not be able to restore it with MSM tool. MSM tool requires a functional bootloader to work.

I don't plan to flash oos10 bootloader myself.
I don't even know which img file I extract by using payload_dumper tool is bootloader.
so I will just flash oos11-->fall back rom-->10.3.12 on both slot, then the firmware zip and the custom rom.
but what makes me curious is:I just download the firmware zip which you provide and the zip from syberiaos's dev and compare the img files's crc32 value with the files I extract from 11.1.1.1 rom.theay are all different.

so I just wonder if I can just replace the img file from the zip to make a update zip with newest firmware.

The difference in hush values is because my zip has older 11 firmware. And no, I don't recommend replacing the files.

This rom has been suitable for daily use since January 2021.

Read instructions. You must have the latest OOS 10 in both slots. Then you can (optionally) flash my zip that will upgrade your firmware to OOS 11, except for bootloader. Why no bootloader? Because OOS 11 bootloader breaks TWRP: The official one can't boot with OOS 11 bootloader. The unofficial TWRPs can boot with OOS 11, but they can't do a factory reset, which is required when changing roms. So, having OOS 10 bootloader makes it work with the Official TWRP.

Hello again Optimumpro,

I recently acquired a used Oneplus 6 -- but it came with OOS 11 Beta 3 already installed !

( 1 ) If the OOS 11 bootloader will not work with TWRP -- HOW can I revert back to the OOS 10 bootloader?

a.
Run the Oneplus Rollback from 11-to-10 known as: 22.J.54_OTA_054_all_2105112236_downgrade_fc69a428ccee4497.zip ??

REF: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oxygenos-android-11-open-beta-1-for-oneplus-6-6t.1464997/

b. Or run MsmDownloadToolV4.0 International Version OxygenOS5.1.5.rar ?? Will that overwrite the OOS 11 bootloader ?

REF: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/op6-latest-10-3-8-collection-of-unbrick-tools.3914109/

- - -

( 2. ) Will future Jaguar ROMs require the OOS 11 firmware you posted above in October (which excludes the problematic OOS 11 bootloader)?

a. Correct me if I am wrong, but the only reason to install OOS 11 firmware, is if someone wants to install newer ROMs based on OOS 11?

b. If so -- will we need to flash it in TWRP each time after flashing a full Jaguar ROM ?

REF: https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...s6_11_rkq1-201217-002_2107130217-zip.5434061/

- - -

( 3. ) Did you get a Oneplus 8 because it will continue to get official Oneplus updates & new versions of Android -- until April 2023 ?

Because this year was EOL for OxygenOS/ColorOS updates for OP6/T -- is it possible to continue supporting Android 10 ?

- - -

( 4. ) Lastly, please let me know what is your outlook for custom ROMs now that Magisk creator, TopJohnWu has joined g00gle?

Thank you very much for supporting the XDA community with your great Jaguar ROM! :D

OOS 10 firware works fine with all roms. The only reason to install OOS 11 is to break TWRP.

You can flash the latest OOS 10 in both slots, no MSM tool is needed. After that, you can flash my firmware zip (optional), which will update the firmware to OOS 11, except for bootloader.

Even if you jump from rom to rom, you can still do it with OOS 10 firmware.

I bought Oneplus 8 because of 5G.

Already thought so. Probably will try a new fresh install soon

wasn't aware of this, because my other deives running LineageOS have that feature I thought that any custom ROM would have this. Thanks for clarifying

Any idea in regards to "forgotten" settings? Anyone else is seeing this, or just me?
Lineage builds are user-debug, which is a build version with weakened security designed for developers to trace problems. Google specifically states user-debug not to be used in production builds. Kind of all you need to know about Lineage's Android :). By the way, most devs copy that from Lineage...

I still keep my Oneplus 6 for development: never had 'forgotten' settings.

Edit: By the way, selinux rules are relaxed too in user-debug

You could try to disable captive portal detection in wifi preferences. Mine would also reboot when switching from wifi to Mobile data. After I turned captive portal detection off, soft reboots are gone.

10/10! Since I switched it off, shortly after your post, no soft-reboot occurred! :) You're awesome!

Perhaps, it is Captive portal. I have no reboots regardless of Captiveportal. See video with wifi repeadly turned on and off.

Thanks for the video - It was not that it always soft-reboots when switching, maybe in 3 of 10 tries. However, deactivating captive portal detection seems to solve the issue for me.
Also, I noticed that your Wi-Fi connects nearly instant while on my end, it took about 20 seconds. After digging through the settings, I found that the option for random mac addresses was turned on. I switched it off for my home WI-FI, which now leads to an instant connection as well.

Hopefully the random soft-reboots are finally gone now. Many thanks for your help and awesome ROM.

Got it! I think I won't use Panic.

Don't get me wrong, I like the behavior and wouldn't turn it off. I just found it while testing and wanted to report back.
By the way, I also get random soft-reboots. Sometimes while chatting in WhatsApp, watching YouTube and sometimes while the phone is not even in use and lies around. I have no clue what triggers it, maybe some Jaguar settings, maybe Magisk or GApps. It's not too annoying, though worth noticing. ;)
You might want to install (dirty flashing) vanilla version and try other Gapps.
    2
I still have problems with soft reboots. In the meantime, I am relatively sure to have narrowed down the underlying cause. It seems to be related to the Wi-Fi. When the router reboots at night or the Wi-Fi reboots, the soft reboot occurs. When I leave the apartment in the morning and the device loses the Wi-Fi connection (and searches for the network), the soft reboot also occurs.
Also, when I disable and enable the WLAN via the quick settings, a soft reboot often occurs.

Something doesn't seem to be working correctly. I also noticed that the connection switches back and forth between LTE and LTE+ all the time. No matter where I am, I live in a metropolitan area with near perfect network coverage and strong signal strength. I never had the problems before on OOS.

However, I also had a soft reboot yesterday while simply recording a voice message in WhatsApp. I'm not sure how this is related.
Perhaps, it is Captive portal. I have no reboots regardless of Captiveportal. See video with wifi repeadly turned on and off.

SAFETYNET HAS BEEN FIXED WHEN USED WITH MAGISK 24.3

You can actually use alarm when the phone is shut down. It would boot 2 minutes prior to scheduled time and trigger the alarm on time

This is official build of Jaguar Rom.

I have been building Android roms since 2012 for various devices including multiple Sonys, Lenovo Zuk, Oneplus 3, Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 6 (my current device). You can check the Oneplus 5 development thread here:
Oneplus 5 thread or Oneplus 3 or browse my profile.

Jaguar rom is focused on hardening of AndroidOS and kernel. As such, the rom has hardened bionic, art, framework and tightened security. Kernel has security features ported from linux kernel 4.14.

The rom could be used on locked bootloader (donate feature) with no warning screen whatsoever, and with or without Magisk (your choice). It boots like OOS: Android logo and Boot animation. Plus, you get back DRM L1 driver.

You get your DRM L1 certificate back and most of your banking apps will work regardless of Magisk tricks

Otherwise, and in addition to hardening, the rom has all standard+ features that come with custom roms:

1 Rom control with custom Power options, Statusbar, Buttons, Navbar, Quicksettings, Lockscreen, Notifications, Gestures, Themes etc. .

    2. Heavily modified Art, Bionic System/Vold and System/Security

    3. Telephony response to Type Zero sms ('silently acknowledged') disabled

    4. Toggle to disable Captive Portal logging.

    5. Speakerphone proximity sensor toggle - could be set to automatically switch to speaker when not at the ear

    6. IMEI and phone numbers hidden in About menu

    7. Call recording button now visible in Dialer

    8. All regular customizations

The rom requires the latest stable OOS-10 (NOT 11) vendor in both slots!

    Instructions for Unlocked Bootloader

See post #3 for detailed instructions including download links for OOS-10 and TWRP.
