A part of that commit is to 'disallow use of any event by users without CAP_SYS_ADMIN'. That simply cuts access to kernel from userland, unless root is specifically requested and granted.

No. custom kernels without the mentioned restrictive commits, would work with 3dMark. And trust me, they do exist. It's the other way around: kernels (like mine) with those commits are virtually non-existent.

Yes, well, I just flashed Arter97's kernel, but I get the same issue. Weird. The same kernel on other ROMs and the app work fine. Wonder if it's something ROM-related too? I'm by no mean a developer and maybe my questions sound a bit "stupid". lol Just approaching here from a logical standpoint.
Well. You can run logcat, while using 3dMark: it should mention permission denial...

This didnt work for me im so sad. It wouldnt load after instalation im not seeing a lot of 11 roms anymore. I just hate how big the icons are on 12 roms in the quick settings
Works great now.no issues booting.any plans to move to a12?
It's a great ROM for 11 but I'm a fan of 12 as well. I tried it and was highly satisfied. There was no need to switch kernels at the time.
Extract the boot.img from the Jaguar ROM.zip file, patch it inside the Magisk app and flash it in Fastboot.
I actually tried but it is likely in the payload file which i do not know how to extract. Any suggestions or can someone share the boot.img so will patch
You can extract it by using the Payload dumper tool for either Windows, Linux, or even MAC, just search for it on XDA. Or you can even google it, you'll find a "Payload dumper-GO" on Github.
No need to extract anything: Recovery from post #3 is your boot.img. 9 series have recovery builtin in boot image .

I just wanted to help with the install directions. I found a way to avoid some of the pain of installing this rom. 2 parts that made the install a breeze especially if you're using the T-mobile branded device.
1) Use whatever oneclick solution (MSM) you use to get to stock. Unlock bootloader. Reboot to fastboot and "fastboot boot twrp.img" Then sideload this It'll copy the partition for you without any added headache. Now you have A11 on both slots. Reboot and flash the boot.img file from the OP. Then install the rom
2) After the rom is installed, i installed the magisk apk. Afterwards, reboot to fastboot and simply boot the TWRP image. Not install it. So "fastboot boot twrp.img" again. Then flash the same magisk apk from within TWRP. Reboot to system and that's it. No data loss no problem. Everything works great!2May 29. New release V-20.2

You probably installed an older release. Nothing crashes in V21 - confirmed by several users.

You can actually use alarm when the phone is shut down. It would boot 2 minutes prior to scheduled time and trigger the alarm on time

Jaguar rom is focused on hardening of AndroidOS and kernel. As such, the rom has hardened bionic, art, framework and tightened security.

Install instructions (first time use)
OOS 11 in both slots. This is not a Jaguar requirement, but rather a universal one for any custom rom, including Android 12.
Keep in mind, MSM takes care of one slot only. You need to manually install OOS-11 into another slot. Either boot into system (after MSM) and install OOS-11 by using a local option or boot into TWRP and install OOS-11 again. If there is no suitable OOS-11 for your device (branded etc), use Lineage's partition copy method. Link here
1. Fastboot flash recovery images:
Code:fastboot flash boot_a boot.img fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
2. Reboot in recovery (TWRP), now Lineage type, sideload and flash the rom, factory reset and reboot.
If you want Gapps on Vanilla (not necessary on Full version), they should be flashed before the first boot into system, i.e., after flashing the rom, reboot in Recovery (mandatory) and flash Gapps.
When downloading from XDA or Android File host, put your browser in incognito.

The benefits of LOCKED BOOTLOADER combined with WORKING AVB-2 protection are:
Get your DRM L1 certificate back. Most banking apps (if not all) will work with or without Magisk: you cimply get a warning 'your devices is rooted', but you can proceed to login
Security: Nobody and nothing can modify Kernel, Recovery and Virtual Partitions without triggering a red screen of death with the message 'your device is corrupted and cannot boot'.
At that point, the only option is to unlock bootloader. But, if a user had previously disabled OEM unlock in Developer settings, then unlocking becomes unavailable, and so does flashing via fastboot. In other words, if your phone gets into the hands of an adversary, their only option is to use MSM tool to make the phone work again, but no access to your data or any other partition.
The rom can also allow you to flash Magisk on locked bootloader. If interested, send me a PM.

You don't install Android 9, 10 Gapps on Android 11. You also need to flash Gapps before the first boot into system, i.e, flash the rom, reboot in recovery and flash Gapps.
Please educate yourself by reading, before excessive postings.
