Right, I missed that. Thanks for the fast answer.
I followed the instructions in post #1, it might be a good idea to update that as well?
Anyway, I did install 24.3 after flashing and used that to make a patched boot.img. I have root, but fail Safetynet. Any particular procedure needed to set up Magisk correctly?

Thanks again, it's hard to pick out essential information in a long thread.

I did as described and now I seem to pass Safetynet.

Will do some further testing, but so far it looks good.

I've tested the ROM overnight, and I noticed (at 4AM :) that the "do not disturb" setting does not seem to work.
When checking the sound levels they are the same with "do not disturb" on and off.

Using the slider on the side of the phone, the sound levels are updated correctly. So that is working.

You have to configure what can and what can't disturb.

Game crashing: enable Captiveportal 'standard' in Settings/Network.

Regarding "Do not disturb".
I know it must be configured, I've been using it with "Auto Do Not Disturb" app on both Linage and stock . I set it specifically to allow no apps, it did not seem to regulate sound volume at all when turned on. I did a reinstall of Jaguar this morning and will test this a bit more.

Looking in Settings/Network, I see no Captiveportal option? Searching in Settings gives me a "CaptivePortaLogin" as "App info", nothing else.

Right, I tried changing from "Disable" to "Standard (Google)", but it does not stick. When I exit and re-open Settings to check, it is back to "Disabled".

Ok. Apparently this doesn't work (will be fixed). In the mean time, if you have root, you can execute the following in phone's terminal:

First, type su (allow root when prompted). Once you get a '#' sign, type the following:

settings put global captive_portal_mode_ignore 0

Or you can do the same via adb from your PC:

'adb shell' followed by the 2 commands above.

Reboot might be required.

Thanks. I made the change and rebooted. Verified that the change stuck with "settings get global ..."
Unfortunately the game still crashes with the same error:

I also tried setting "captive_portal_mode" to "0". That actually changed the "Settings/Network & Internet/Internet connectivity check" to "Standard (Google)", but it still crashes.

Hello, I installed this ROM yesterday and so far so good! it feels so fast and everything works as expected so thank you for developing it!
Just one thing, I've noticed that brightness in general is a bit of an issue.
For example, on the AOD, the fingerprint scanner 75% of the time is not working because the zone does not light up enough, and the scanner probably can't read the fingerprint. Maybe it's because AOD has a really low brightness many times and I can't see it at a glance, as opposed to stock rom where the AOD has always "enough" brightness. If I go to the lockscreen then it works a bit better because usually brightness gets higher there.
But also brightness in general, sometimes even if I set it at maximum from the status bar, it's not as visible as one woud expect. Other times (seems random?), brightness gets really high by doing the same. I don't know how to reproduce the issue.
Please tell me if I could help with this issue and thanks again for your work.

Wait for June release. Brightness will be working fine.

Upon further reading, it looks like Xposed etc doesn't work on user-builds, as opposed to user-debug. User-debug is a version for developers to better trace bugs. As such, user-debug has many security features disabled or weakened That's why, it is not suitable for releases.

User-debug + unlocked bootloader turn your phone into a security joke.

But anyway, I provide no support for X/Lesposed... .

    Well. The Vanilla version contains no Google things. You can either use MicroG with the included signature spoof feature or live without MicroG, like I do. You can install F-Droid's Aurora store, if you need Playstore apps.

    I have a few Google e-mail accounts, but I use K9mail to get and send messages. K9 has its own push service that allows you to get emails right away. For Maps, I use Sygic app, which is much much better than Google Maps. It also allows you to download maps on your storage, so when you use the app, it is done without the internet, which is useful, especially when you are roaming.

    You can actually use alarm when the phone is shut down. It would boot 2 minutes prior to scheduled time and trigger the alarm on time

    If this is your first time coming from stock, you need to have stock Android 11 in both slots. So, either update stock OTA to populate the second slot or flash stock rom with TWRP. Do not use Lineage's 'transfer' script, as this might corrupt your persist partition. In addition, that script transfers outdated files.

    1. Install Jaguar recovery from (from post #3) via fastboot: reboot in fastboot and execute the following commands on your connected PC terminal:

    The rom could be used on locked bootloader (donate feature) with or without Gapps.

    The benefits of LOCKED BOOTLOADER combined with WORKING AVB-2 protection are:

    You get your DRM L1 back (one full stock update required). Many banking applications (tested several) will work even if Magisk is not hidden: you simply get a warning, your device is rooted, but can click 'don't show again' and proceed to login.

    Nobody and nothing can modify Kernel, Recovery and Virtual Partitions without triggering a red screen of death with the message 'your device is corrupted and cannot boot'.

    At that point, the only option is to unlock bootloader. But, if a user had previously disabled OEM unlock in Developer settings, then unlocking becomes unavailable, and so does flashing via fastboot. In other words, if your phone gets into the hands of an adversary, their only option is to use MSM tool to make the phone work again, but no access to your data or any other partition.

    Lol take it easy man, he's just sharing a ROM, theres no obligation here.

    As frustrating as it can be to not have working features it's still an "as is" ROM, no need for hostilities.

    I haven't personally installed this ROM so no i can't comment on features missing or not but i can on how to address them, there are ways and means to get a point across without sounding deserving of something you aren't.

    If you've clean installed and there are missing features then just mention that, if it gets fixed then great if not then that's just the way it is, no ones under any obligation here, speaking down to dev's who've put the hours / days / weeks in to share something for FREE is what makes people leave and not share their work, XDA wouldn't be a very good place to be if dev's didn't do what they do and even worse if they didn't have the support of people who flash their work, please bare that in mind.

    Actually, you can use any recovery you want: TWRP/Lineage or whatever. Just keep in mind that if you don't have OOS-11 firmware in both slots, you will always get problems. MSM flash takes care of one slot only. So, you need OOS-11 in the other slot either by flashing via recovery (after initial reboot) or updating OTA.

    Also, you don't need MSM, if you can't boot into recovery. You simply boot in fastboot and flash whatever recovery you want.

    This release fixes Safetynet issues. Confirmed by a Oneplus 8 user: here

    A very good morning to you all! Some posts have dissipated left and right but I hope we didn't cause too much (collateral) damage. I hope y'all got it out of your system and feel better. Now, let's move on and stick to a more civil way of communicating. With mutual respect and all that.

    About donation features: YES, IT'S ALLOWED! Sometimes. Shocker, I know. The moderation team may be tasked with – among many many many other things 😬 – shutting down projects that have only the goal of making money but this does not mean that donation features are forbidden. We expect that core features and most important functionality of any release remains free. We also understand that developing software is hard work which should be rewarded. Our goal is to find a balance and we do this together, as a community. To achieve this we often work with developers to find the best outcome for everyone.
    Please do not throw around accusations in someone's thread and never threaten another member with sanctions. That's just not okay. Even mods will avoid this. It may come as a surprise to you but we're not the Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 designed to terminate your threads, posts and accounts followed by a taunting “Hasta la vista, baby”. We're human beings with elevated forum rights and a lot of XDA experience that interact with all its members with the goal of keeping this kickass community a pleasant experience for all.
