I installed twrp and flashed in recovery. Flash twrp again after ROM and reboot recovery. Factory reset. Done. Works for me, don't know if it's recommended

@optimumpro I'm not sure why you kicked me out of your telegram channel and banned me, but all I was asking for was help installing your ROM.... I was not rude, was respectful, and now I'm really confused. Whatever though I guess... I followed the instructions exactly on the thread I still can't contact the Google servers when I sign in. I just came from LineageOS and flashed v21 and noticed that DC dimming does not work. The setting is located in livedisplay, anti-flicker. and changing the toggle does not do anything. I don't know if it is related, but the color profiles also do not work.
I used this rom in the past on the OnePlus 6 and DC dimming was working there. It also works on the current LineageOS 18.1 for this device if you need a reference for the 8T.
Could you look into implementing DC dimming? I can send a log if you can't reproduce.

Antiflicker is supposed to reduce flickering in the dark only. It will do nothing in normal conditions.
According to my logcat, profiles do get changed, i.e. 'set profile to 0, 1, 2, 3'.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that my testing was in the dark at a low brightness setting.
If the normal minimal brightness does not jump in the dark, which it actually doesn't, anti-flicker won't do anything.
Oneplus 6 has its own dc dimming in OneplusSettings, but I remember (when I used Oneplus 6), it also did nothing, because normal minimal brightness never jumped in the dark.
I'm sensitive to the lower PWM of Amoled panels, and could notice a difference with the setting on LineageOS. It's can be subtle shift to the naked eye, but it's definitely reduces my eyestrain while using it.
I noticed that the feature works on Lineage based roms, specifically I tried out the feature on CrDroid 7 and the CalyxOS beta and both have live display toggles that seem to enable DC Dimming.
I'd be great if I could get it to work, as this is by far the best rom I have tried for the 8T so far.
That's because my minimal brightness value is lower than in Lineage, so, in Lineage anti-flicker toggle makes it lower, that's why you see the difference there. What I am saying is: in the dark, especially with night light enabled, you have the same conditions, as in Lineage with enabled anti-flicker.
Sorry to bother you again, but I noticed something else. This time it is in regards to the FOD sensor.
When reading the fingerprint it will temporarily light up the entire display to max brightness. I tried doing a dirty flash to switch the boot slot, and when that didn't work I attempted to do a clean install. Unfortunately neither solved my issue.
I'm attaching a video of it in action, hopefully it better illustrates my problem. (I am also attaching a zip file in case the embed video doesn't work)

Just wanted to say that that this rom is maybe the "best" A11 for the Oneplus 8t by far. OP is also very reliable and actively tuning and tweaking with constant updates. Love how fast a build comes out every month with the new security patch.

2. Can I install the Magisk v25.1 apk just as its mentioned in the OP and it would update it to magisk 25.1?
3. I am currently using AICP A11 and have definitely AICP populated on both slots since I have updated the ROM many times. Is it mandatory to populate both the slots with OOS A11 or I can just simply flash it like I flash other custom ROMs?

I recently loaded your ROM to compare to Havoc. Overall, i like this better save for the Camera and gallery apps.

2. Magisk 25+ has issues with several roms and Android versions, i.e., the manager gets stuck on logo screen. This has been reported many times, but for some reason Magisk devs, instead of fixing the issue, consistently close the reports for various reasons see here, here, and here. However, Magisk 24.3 works fine and passes Safetynet.
3. If AICP 11 works on both slots, i.e., you've updated AICP and it worked on both slots, you don't need to flash OOS-11.

I have another oddity in V-22. I'm unable to turn off keyboard haptics. on or off, it still vibrates.

I think I did it right. I used twrp to flash 24.3 magisk as a zip. SafetyNet passes will no issue. Banks and gpay works.1August 6. New release V-23

This is not a patched image, but if you install Magisk 24.3 manager and put the attached onto internal storage, you can patch it on your phone. Then you can flash the patched kernel normally. -

You can actually use alarm when the phone is shut down. It would boot 2 minutes prior to scheduled time and trigger the alarm on time

Install instructions:
If this is your first time coming from stock to a custom rom, you MUST have Android 11 stock in both slots. So, either have a few stock updates over the air (to populate the second slot) or flash stock rom with TWRP
1. Install Jaguar recovery via fastboot: reboot in fastboot and execute the following commands on your connected PC terminal:
Code:fastboot flash recovery_a recovery.img fastboot flash recovery_b recovery img
2. Download the rom on your PC. Boot the phone into recovery, set recovery for sideloading, then type on your PC terminal (which should be opened in the same directory where you had downloaded the rom):
Code:adb sideload 'name of the rom'
3. Factory reset and reboot. You are done. If you want root, DO NOT FLASH MAGISK ZIP, just install Magisk manager (apk) as a normal app.
PICO Gapps has been tested successfully with this rom.

The benefits of LOCKED BOOTLOADER combined with WORKING AVB-2 protection are:
Get back your DRM L1 certificate. Most banking apps will work regardless of Magisk.
Security: Nobody and nothing can modify Kernel, Recovery and Virtual Partitions without triggering a red screen of death with the message 'your device is corrupted and cannot boot'.
At that point, the only option is to unlock bootloader. But, if a user had previously disabled OEM unlock in Developer settings, then unlocking becomes unavailable, and so does flashing via fastboot. In other words, if your phone gets into the hands of an adversary, their only option is to use MSM tool to make the phone work again, but no access to your data or any other partition.
Why prebuilt Magisk? Because you can't modify kernel or recovery on locked bootloader post installation, and that's exactly what Magisk does.
