Another maybe stupid question. Haven't done any custom rom since Nexus 6, so is a bit rusty...
But when going back to oos10, is it sufficient to use a rollback zip of 10, and will that cover so that I have oos 10 in both slots, or do I need to use a regular signed flashable zip, and double flash with twrp?
Referring to zips found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...a-oxygen-os-repo-of-oxygen-os-builds.3865396/
Roll back zips haven't been tested. Use the regular ones.

First I used rollback zip, from system updater, then flashed twrp, then regular OOS 10 flashable from twrp.

Anyone knows what is this icon next to network bar and before battery bar?
@optimumpro does it mean that sensors are disabled on device?

It popped up after one night battery drained and phone shut down.
Now camera does not open, phone gets wild in the pocket, regardless pocket mode is enabled, proximity sensor does not work as well.

You've disabled all sensors, so no surprise here. Find quicksettings sensor toggle and enable it. If you can't find it, go to Developer/QS developer tiles and enable sensors in QS, then toggle it in quicksettings.

There is no reason to disable all sensors other than for development purposes. That's why the toggle is hidden... .
I know. But for me sensors were disabled once this happened.:

- automatic sleep mode was on ( I have it enabled from 11pm till 6 am, with all options on, including disabling of sensors)
- during night, phone battery went empty, phone shuts down
- once I powered it on in the morning, everything what I had enabled to be turned off during automatic sleep mode, remained in that state
- I could enable all, wifi, Bluetooth, mobile network, etc, but I had no toggle for enabling sensors
- so I have to make it visible in order to turn on disabled sensors

Maybe you can test it yourself the way I described above.
I guess phone could not execute "exit" action at 6 am for automatic sleep mode, as it was shut down at that time.

Well. If your phone shuts down due to battery, it may not exit properly on boot. Also, you could configure suspend options not to disable sensors.

Why? Aren't they vulnerable? What about bluetooth or NFC?
No one is going to take over your phone through sensors. Apps don't need sensors to exploit the phone, but there is still a feature to disable sensors per app.

Bluetooth, WIFI and NFC are a different matter. That's why Jaguar has Bluetooth and WIFI configurable time out. NFC should be OFF all the time, except when you use it.

Hello, dev. I've been using this rom for a few days and it's fantastic. However, I've noticed that the kernel keeps using the higher frequencies for a lot of time. The screenshot was taken after a few minutes of normal use. No games or whatever.
Could you gave us some hints to tweak kernel settings more battery oriented?
Thank you very much

Thanks for this rom - I'm trying to install but can anyone point me in the right direction of a gapps package which includes the google/android setup wizard (to restore my apps/calls/sms etc). I'm having trouble getting anything to actually complete the setup. Ideally something minimal, but that includes the wizard.

I've tried both NikGapps (omni version), MindtheGaps, but seem to get stuck in a loop at certain/different parts of the wizard and I wonder whether I'm doing anything wrong, or using the wrong package.

Edit: For info, I'm using the vanilla build and trying to flash a gapps package over it.

Your first screenshot shows 60% of usage on the lowest frequency. The second one also shows normal usage.

In modern cpus idling on higher frequencies does not produce more battery usage than idling on low and then jumping to higher frequencies when load increases. Years ago, they did a benchmark for performance governor (cpu uses the highest frequency all the time). They found very little difference in power usage, but a huge difference in performance, as compared to regular governors where cpus jump between frequencies all the time, which causes lagging.

Thank you for your explanation. This remind me of a veeery old governor (maybe when I had my HTC Desire) called minmax, which well, only used min and max freq.

@optimumpro , this actually worked! Thanks a bunch for the hint!
Good. Get those 'thankyous' going: I just need 3 more for 15000. :)

Funny, after installing the ROM, and rebooting recovery, since every update, TWRP is gone and some purple custom recovery is installed. Which recovery is this?
Why do you disregard a clear instruction to flash TWRP 3.5.2 immediately after flashing the rom (no reboot)? You must do it on each update. This is how you install TWRP. Otherwise, you will have a builtin recovery, which is not needed on Oneplus 6 and 6T.

Working great as always. Thanks for your work!

Clean flash not an option. Too many important apps set up. Doing in from scratch would be an overkill.
Flashing Jaguar for the 6 series should be always followed by flashing twrp 3.5.2 installer, then rebooting into recovery and flashing Magisk.

You don't need clean flash when switching from Vanilla to Full.

Try to reflash the rom and boot it without Magisk. If the phone boots, then it is Magisk. Don't use unstable Magisk, such as Canary.

    TELEGRAM CHANNEL ADDED: HERE
    TELEGRAM CHAT GROUP: HERE

Jaguar is available on locked bootloader with working root (Magisk)

SAFETY NET HAS BEEN FIXED AS OF Version 19 (confirmed)

You can actually use alarm when the phone is shut down. It would boot 2 minutes prior to scheduled time and trigger the alarm on time

Verizon support with no RTT issues. Call recording button is visible.

This is official build of Jaguar Rom.

I have been building Android roms since 2012 for various devices including multiple Sonys, Lenovo Zuk, Oneplus 3, Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 6 (my current device). You can check the Oneplus 5 development thread here:
Oneplus 5 thread or Oneplus 3 or Oneplus 6 thread here or browse my profile.

Jaguar rom is focused on hardening of AndroidOS and kernel. As such, the rom has hardened bionic, art, framework and tightened security. Kernel has security features ported from linux kernel 4.14.

The rom could be used on locked bootloader (donate feature) with or without Magisk (your choice).

Otherwise, and in addition to hardening, the rom has all standard+ features that come with custom roms:

1 Rom control with custom Power options, Statusbar, Buttons, Navbar, Quicksettings, Lockscreen, Notifications, Gestures, Themes etc. .

    2. Heavily modified Art, Bionic System/Vold and System/Security

    3. Telephony response to Type Zero sms ('silently acknowledged') disabled

    4. Toggle to disable Captive Portal logging.

    5. Speakerphone proximity sensor toggle - could be set to automatically switch to speaker when not at the ear

    6. IMEI and phone numbers hidden in About menu

    7. Call recording button visible in Dialer and working for all

    8. Vanadium Trichrome Webview and Chromium browser

    9. All regular customizations with the latest addition of Battery Defender, as well as Aggressive, Extreme battery saving and Smart charging

    10. Customized Launcher 3 has extra grid options: 6x7 and 5x8 + an option to change icon size globally

    11. Verizon CDMA support

The rom requires the latest stable OOS 10 vendor in both slots!

    Instructions for Unlocked Bootloader

Update for those who are on OOS 11: to use this rom, you must have the latest OOS 10 in both slots. If you are downgrading from OOS 11, use whatever TWRP you already have to flash OOS 10 once, then flash TWRP 3.5.2 installer. Boot once, then back to TWRP and flash OOS 10 again for the second slot, then TWRP 3.5.2 installer. Boot again. Now you are ready to flash Jaguar

    1. If you are encrypted on Android Q, or lower or any stock, you must do a factory reset in TWRP, the option, where you enter 'Yes' to confirm. Otherwise, just wipe data partition.

    2. Reboot into TWRP 3.5.2 (after factory reset), transfer Jaguar, TWRP installer and Magisk to internal SD

    3. Flash the rom. Don't reboot!

    4. Flash TWRP 3.5.2 official installer (not the raw TWRP image). Reboot once. After that do optional flashing such as GAPPS and Magisk

The latest release is always in post #3 on top.

The rom could be used on locked bootloader with ROOT (donate feature) with or without Gapps.

The benefits of LOCKED BOOTLOADER combined with WORKING AVB-2 protection are:
Get your DRM L1 certificate back. Most banking apps (if not all) will work with or without Magisk: you cimply get a warning 'your devices is rooted', but you can proceed to login

Security: Nobody and nothing can use fastboot or mess with partitions without triggering 'device corrupted' warning.

At that point, the only option is to unlock bootloader. But, if a user had previously disabled OEM unlock in Developer settings, then unlocking becomes unavailable, and so does flashing via fastboot. In other words, if your phone gets into the hands of an adversary, their only option is to use MSM tool to make the phone work again, but no access to your data or any other partition.
