Hi I love this rom, but like in @woonaval case battery is the issue but more drastically. Its constantly draining and throught night battery drops from 100% to 64%.

Is it possible to find source of draining? may by some app or in some logs?

I think that it must be cause by some setting or app, bcs after clean flash without any app it lost 1% battery per night.

Second what it bothers me is not working auto brightness or if it working it is set to high.

I'll be glad for any tips guys!

2. You might want to install a battery stats app, which could point to culprits
3. Have you considered that you battery might have lost some juice due to time?

1. Yea but it is odd when I had same apps setup (even less bcs of stock bloot) battery life was significantly better (about to 4h soc and much less drain in idle).
2. I'm trying now, so we'll see. I think that phone don't go to deep sleep at all
3. Definitely AB shows 83%. But I compare it with stock oos 11. I add second screen to my op, battery was dead after 14 hours with 1h 17m, it's three times less than on stock rom.

I hope that I'll find something, bcs it nice rom and without apps has excelent battery life

Hi, about the battery drain topic. As it's still present, I would like to know if there is a way I could investigate or detect what is the app or configuration that may be causing the drain.
I installed AccuBattery but it only tells me the battery stats, but not who is causing the draining. Interesting to see is that deep sleep is 0%, the phone never goes to deep sleep even at night when I don't have AOD and it's in DND mode.
Is there any other app that could give more insights about this?

Interesting... I just disabled NFC (to be honest I don't use it), rebooted the phone, and so far it seems like battery doesn't drain, and phone enters Deep Sleep properly (first time since I installed the rom several days ago).
So maybe NFC is something to check in this rom? anyway thanks for the hint

Hey guys, please keep me informed. For me disabling NFC didn't work. I still have like 6% battery drain per hour in stand by.

Possible cause could be PowerManagerService.Broadcasts. This process runs whole time when screen is off. Hope it helps.

Several points about kernel updating and security:

For some reason, most custom rom kernels, including Lineage kernels, haven't been updated for almost 2 years. Although, Google security patches for AOSP are regularly merged, not so with kernels. Here is just one example. Lineage's latest kernel for Oneplus 8 series (whether A11, A12 or A13), all stopped being updated from upstream at 4.19.157. The current upstream code is at 4.19.261. Again, that's 2020 and we are almost in 2023. These are literally thousands of commits many including various fixes for 'overflows' and 'leaks', which constitute 'back doors' for exploitation. They are as important, if not more, than AOSP security patches.

To find out kernel update level, look into Makefile at the top. For Example:

Here is Oneplus 8 Lineage's kernel Makefile. It says 4.19.157. The last update (to .157) was merged in November 2020, two years ago. The same is true with other kernels, see the infamous Blue_Spark kernel: also 4.19.157... . Think Oneplus stock kernel is any different? Think again: also 4.19.157. Here is GrapheneOS 4.19 kernel: 4.19.239 - much better than the above, but still behind the curve.

To contrast, look at the current upstream kernel (same 4.19.x version), which is at 4.19.261 as of October 5, 2022, and this is Jaguar kernel, also 4.19.261 as of October 6, 2022.

This is not in any way to criticize other developments: we all do what we do according to our choices and time constraints.

I had no idea you put this much effort into backporting fixes. I really gotta try this ROM again.

I used the latest Magisk with the DenyList and all my banking apps are working fine. The only one banking app which didn't work- I used a workaround based on Island app.

The first boot after update could take 5-7 minutes. If you still can't boot, then your second slot doesn't have OOS-11. There is no other reason.

TWRP cannot do factory reset. So, if you are coming from another rom, you need builtin recovery to do a factory reset. If you are already on Jaguar, you can use TWRP to flash updates.

I did it! It took me like forever but I was able to update to the newest version. I sent you something on paypal as appreciation for your great work!

What I did to get it work:
- TWRP Backup (only Data Partition) of my current system
- Wiping everything
- Installing OOS 11 via fastboot on both slots
- Installing JaguarOS V26 via ADB on both sloths.
- Wipe / Factory Reset (in TWRP)
- reboot into System (needed to rebuild data partiton)
- Back in TWRP: restore data partition
- reboot (will take 5-10 mins)

I had to do it this way maybe because I didn´t follow the step by step procedure from optimumpro in the beginning properly.
