I believe permissive's purpose is to disable selinux. GPS works, I just used Google maps navigation for 3 hours. GMaps won't allow me to use location sharing though.

This ROM is not ready to be a daily driver. Many system apps like clock, have fatal errors. Can't even set an alarm. Carrier calling is broken. YouTube music among other apps don't work. Not to mention selinux being disabled. I'd help fix this but I'd rather spend that time working so i can buy a phone that's easy to unlock and has many stable ROMs available, like pixels.

Mmmh strange, I'm using "GPS Test" and everything seems fine, but when I'm going to use any GPS based app there is no way it works, can't locate my position.

Anyway, I'll be great if for the next ROM update, dev can put on eye on this annoying issues:

- Hotspot WiFi doesn't give connection to clients which use it;
- Airplane mode start at every boot/reboot disabling mobile data and WiFi;
- GPS not working (maybe it's only my case?) if I test it with GPS Test works;
- Phone calls audio issue, can't hear anything from the other side and viceversa (the most annoying one), until I switch from silent mode to audio mode;
- low audio from front speakers;

Thanks for all, this ROM is great but need fixes.

I see no differences in spec, so there is a vhance, but I'd advise to make sure it's possible - you could brick your phone.

Because I have read online that most of all ROMs for dandelion have Hotspot, airplain and call issues.

So, I think that for daily use none of this ROMs is ready!

Yeah there is a hell lot of lag there also even just by installing two or three apps

When your battery is drained and you plugin charger, phone just bootloops with redmi logo.

I think I'll revert to MIUI as well. Battery drain is insane when idle

Yeah, this is another big reason to go back to MIUI. Battery drain as hell.

Went back to miui 12.7 and it's not that bad when debloated, at least everything works.

Battery is now for 2 days at least.

crDroid is not a daily, as some settings were constantly replaced to default after put to sleep. Youtube was working weird, often wont even show progress bar and won't load currently played video

I've been using the crDroid for a week.
Now the phone is very responsive, everything loads faster.
Even internet feels faster now.
My Redmi 9A will hold some more years thanks to this ROM

It's not worth it. Too many issues for a business phone - Android auto, hotspot, incoming calls. If you use phone just for fun, then it's ok to use as daily

First of all, thanks to @Sushrut1101 for sharing this ROM. I'd say it has been very challenging to install this on my phone, really confusing stuff and Xiaomi makes it even harder to customize your device. Here's a step by step installation guide for future readers:

1. Unlock bootloader using Mi Unlock tool on Windows PC (you have to wait 7 days)
2. Install recovery (TWRP or Orange Fox)
3. Downgrade to MIUI 12 https://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.10....Global_V12.0.10.0.QCDMIXM_3c3d41a6a5_10.0.zip
4. Install that ROM using recovery mode (personally the installation failed but it fixed the wifi/bt issues)
5. Wipe data using rm rf- (look in advanced settings)
6. Reboot recovery, wipe data normally by disabling rm rf-
7. Reboot recovery to have access to /media, in internal storage you need to see a folder with the name of your recovery either twrp or fox, if you see folder name with bunch of code and symbols your /media route is still corrupt repeat step 5 and 6
8. Wipe dalvik/cache
9. Install CRdroid
10. Install Permissive
11. Install Magix (optional for root access)

Issues I found by testing this ROM on my Redmi 9a Global version:

• Phone call audio only works if not silent mode, low volume on loudspeakers, the problem is with that library com.mediatek
• Airplane enabled by default on restart
• Remote wifi casting on TV not working, unable to find devices
• Hotspot not working, self assigned IP
• GPS unable to retrieve location

Minor stuff:

• Status bar design and screen cutout needs improvement

Overall great ROM, very fast, I highly recommend you root the device and install performance tweaker for a smoother experience as well as firewall to monitor which apps use internet.
