Rom is good, but not bug free - call no sound (toggle sound) and android auto not working is a no fore. Tried it for 2 months, but calls and android auto is so frustrating I went to miui, debloated, rooted

I'm going back to MIUI
Because I have read online that most of all ROMs for dandelion have Hotspot, airplain and call issues.

So, I think that for daily use none of this ROMs is ready!

On any custom rom i recommend flashing before MIUI 12.0.10 or 12.0.14, (almost) all the problems get solved if you do that, BUT be careful, for some reason sometime it just stays on a black screen after if you fail, just re-flash with SP if that happens.

Hotspot works, but can't connect. Calls the same, just toggle silent mode, but for daily it's not good. Miui with debloat and l speed apk works the same

My device is Redmi 9i sports dandelion ( Redmi 9A).I flashed this rom through pitchblack recovery.Showed no error at all.Everything went very smoothly and my device booted up in record time.The rom is light as feather.Butter smooth indeed.....but there goes everything down the drain.Wifi does not work.It never toggles on.I dont have Sims in my device.I only use wifi .
Anyway heartfelt congrats are due to the developer of this rom.I am looking forward to further development on this rom.I am willing to be the first tester of improved versions of this rom if he lets me .

No one maintains it for over a half year now, so don't get your hopes high. I used it for a couple months, but cons are too frustrating, went back to miui, debloated and now I use L speed APK. It's a lot better, I would say almost as smooth as crdroid

If you mean unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, but without flashing root then yes, just dont flash magisk.

But if you mean flash it without unlocked bootloader or a custom recovery, then no
