With the last update (needed OOS 11 base) everything is working so fine, so smooth but the colors look over saturated and theres no color selection option in the Display settings anymore. anyone knows a temporary fix?

Hi everyone,

Since it's needed to rollback to OxygenOs11 before applying this September upgrade:
  • Could you guide me with the main steps (or if you followed an existing how-to)?
  • Could you tell me if all data have to be wiped with this procedure or not?

Regards

Hi,
Yes you need to wipe all data.

To Flash ROM i follow that steps
-Install TWRP from adb
-shift OOS11 in to Phone
-Install OOS11 and try a normal boot to main screen (leguage select)
-reboot to fastboot

Next you can follow the base intall guide: Flash PErecovery, Partition and finally PE sept

actually no, u don't really need to wipe all data. u can do a dirty flash like i did.

i followed DotOS' dirty flash method,

Download the latest build
Reboot to TWRP
Flash the OOS11, latest build & TWRP
Reboot to TWRP
Flash NikGApps (Optional), Magisk (Optional)
Wipe Cache
Reboot to System

currently no issues found except for "Gaussian Blur" is gone from dev options and i still can't find where to enable it. if anyone found it, please teach me, ty.

edit: ignore the optional gapps, PE already has gapps installed, i just copied from DotOS' and added OOS11

I'm using version 20210720-1124-Official (plus version) and I noticed a pretty major oversight whenever the fingerprint reader is required.
Basically when night light is active or the b&w filter is enabled, the phone cannot read the fingerprint because the filters do not disable for the split second required to read the fingerprint. I'm not sure if you've fixed this in newer versions, but I figured I'd point it out.

Thanks for sharing.
Only impact is then to reinstall your apps right?
No need to clear cache?

    Thx a lot.

How is this color issue visible? On every screen or just live display?
According to me, it's on every screen & matching OnePlus "Vivid" Screen calibration while I prefer OnePlus "Natural" Screen calibration (see this OnePlus thread with OOS screenshots)

    Hi everyone,

I finally managed to install September update:
    • It was not at all a breeze for me since I faced Qualcomm Crash Dump screen
    • I think it was caused by my intermediary restart after OOS11 zip (from this thread) install from TWRP 3.5.2_9: I should have play all the zip installations (OOS+PE+TWRP) before restarting
    • I fixed it by extracting img files from OOS11 zip (with payload_dumper), reflashing the different partitions (system, boot, vendor, dtbo), starting OOS11 & playing PE procedure (including PE recovery)

    Small issues
    • @popy2006 oversaturated colors issue is indeed present since a while now: I hope it will be fixed some day but I can live with it meanwhile
    • I also find autorotate (mainly from landscape to portrait) is a bit too sensitive
    1
I go to live dispaly and set all 50%
Nah it didn't fix. It just go darker.

    Already solved it.
A known workaround is to turn the device off for 5 minutes and than it works again.
