Well, I still have no idea, but I managed to install the rom following the guide on the Pixel experience website so ti guess it's ok

You need to install the latest MIUI stock rom before installing Pixel Experience

Take a look at this guide:

It took me 2 days and more than a dozen tries to even START downloading the ROM.
Please fix your decentralized download portal. I support the technique and mission, but it stopped 2 of my downloads at 100mb,
more than 10 attempts just download an empty, 0kb file, and even when it downloads... it's not faster than a 6 year old torrent. And I have gigiabit fiber internet.

I will post updates if I manage to get the ROM and check it out.

ROM works nicely, preinstalled, compatible gapps are a nice touch.
GPS works nice and fast, which was a problem for me on crDroid.
I am yet to test stuff like BT audio, but high refresh rate also works (I set mine to 90Hz).
My only issue right now is to pass SafetyNet with Magisk. Installed it correctly, but even with MagiskHide and custom configs it still trips the net. Anyone else having issues? Is it caused by selinux policy?

With the new version of Magisk 23.0 this problem is solved.

The ROM does actually pass SafetyNet with Magisk, it's an API error on Magisks side on version 22.1. v23.0 is now out which fixes that.

With the new ROM PixelExperience_Plus_gauguin-11.0-20210514-0218-OFFICIAL.zip I can't install Magisk. Recovery system gives an error with red inscriptions which passes very fast and restarted again in recovery.

All the roms that i've tried are reaaaly stable and polished.

But watch out, because some roms require the original firmware in android 10 or 11.
