Build date/Release version you downloaded/installed (the name of the .zip file): lineage-18.1-20220120-UNOFFICIAL-fortuna3g-V6stable
Device variant you are using:SM-530H (fortuna3g)
Gapps version (if using): BiTGApps-arm-11.0.0-v1.8_signed

Did you--
wipe: Yes (Dalvik / ART Cache, system, Cache, Data, Internal Storage)
restore with titanium backup: No
reboot after having the issue: Yes rebooted but the camera is not working

Are you using--
a task killer: No
a non-stock kernel: No
other modifications: Nothing

Camera is not working showing error message. Screenshots are attached. If you see in the first screenshot, the flashlight is also showing the message of camera in use. But in real camera is not working. It was working fine in stock ROM and last time i used

"[UNOFFICIAL][ROM]LineageOS 15.1 for Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (G530H/BT)" by

ClydeVen and camera was working fine.

Go to app settings and clear google camera go's cache and data and force stop the app, then reopen camera go it should work fine.

Dunno if this is still maintained, but my g530w starts bootlooping after inserting a sim card and restarting (this is after first boot btw)
Hi, I'm sorry but unfortunately I don't have time to put into this project anymore. Anyways this device is very very old and not very performant, so making roms of newer Android versions seems pointless.

i saw that after i posted the question but I didnt know a12 was 64 bit only
He already explained why he wouldn't be doing anything above android 11, plus android 12 is 64bit only...
Actually Android 12 is feasible for grandprime (because it has a 64 bit soc actually), in fact last year I made a working build (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-for-galaxy-grand-prime.4246293/post-86673021) but many things weren't working, like wifi, etc. So I decided to give up.

did you try replacing files in lib/modules for wifi?
Also could i test the build? i will try to get wifi and camera and if I cant then its nothing
Well actually it was caused mostly by not-possibile backports for the kernel version of msm8916. I don't have that build file anymore, but you can build yourself from my sources of you know how to do it. Everything is here: https://github.com/gabboxl

I dunno if I could find a way to help, but the Grand Prime is serving as a great backup phone! Really like how it's been restored with lineageos and it'd be awesome to be able to see it live all the way to android 12!

Well yeah I know many people use this device as a backup phone. The point is that newer android versions require more hardware power to run, and this would only make the grand prime laggy and frustrating to use. Just by comparing this LOS 18.1 release with an older one you can understand what I am saying.

Older releases run much smoother and have a better ram management.

I made this release just because I was learning how to compile AOSP code and how Android works. I would have chosen another device if I had a better one.

I think making a LOS 19.1 release is just wasted effort, as the phone would be laggy and unstable, and not many people would use it.

I guess that's a fair point, should be grateful that we even have a custom ROM instead of expecting more, just was wondering if it the galaxy s3 can get android 12, then the grand prime might be able to.

Lineage os 20 was ported to the s3 and it works fine just with some issues but they really aren't major

maybe rebuild someday, find some fixes, or build a newer kernel
Unfortunately, as I already said before on this thread, I don't have spare time to put into this project anymore. This is not worth the sweat.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    ROM project Info:
This lineage-18.1 project comes with a SafetyNet fix that isn't part of the official AOSP code.

This is my little gift for the xda community! This is the work of months trying & building a decent rom for gprime. If you want to help, try things and tell me what doesn't work by filling the bug-report template down there! Thank you :)

++ you can also try my Q release here !++

I don't plan to release often for other models as I don't own a server to build multiple variants but only my PC with limited hdd capacity to compile this rom.

    Reporting bugs:
    • DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or if you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
    • Fill the following report template:
    Code:
Build date/Release version you downloaded/installed (the name of the .zip file):
    Device variant you are using:
    Gapps version (if using):

    Did you--

    Are you using--
    a task killer:
    a non-stock kernel:

@Gabboxl You can fix the overheating issue by introducing Simple Thermal Driver by Sultan XDA. You can see the commits in my Lineage-17.1 Kernel.

New release coming tomorrow! I've managed to fix the biggest issues, after this one I'm going to build for other variants too! Expect some builds in the next few days 😉
