Not a rom related problem but which TWRP should i use? my device is a fortunave3g but when i plug it on the pc it gets detected as fortuna3g and i am currently using an outdated 3.2.3 build 4 Fortunave3g TWRP, i used to use a Fortuna3g latest 3.5.2_9-0 TWRP which runs perfectly but it gives a red "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" warning above the "set warranty bit recovery" and when i try to flash the Fortunave3g rom it gives an error message unless i remove the string of codes in (meta-inf/COM/Google/Android/updater-script) which will allows me to flash the Fortunave3g rom, i tried the fortuna3g rom aswell but the camera and flash is not working on the other hand when i use the outdated 3.2.3 build 4 Fortunave3g TWRP it does not give me the "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" message before booting into recovery, and on the twrp logs it says:

Updating partition details ...
... done
Full SELinux support is present.
Running boot script ...
E: /sbin/postrecoveryboot.sh process ended with ERROR = 1

Finished running boot script.
MTP Enabled

I was able to use the outdated Fortunave3g TWRP perfectly and was able to flash the Fortunave3g rom without tampering the files. but that red "E: /sbin/postrecoveryboot.sh process ended with ERROR = 1" is too bothersome, I have noticed that on the official site of twrp there isnt a recovery listed for Fortunave3g only for Fortuna3g, i dont know which of the two should i use, What is the recommended TWRP to use in my situation? The outdated 3.2.3 build 4 Fortunave3g TWRP or the latest Fortuna3g 3.5.2_9-0 TWRP?

Well, at the time I am using the 3.2.3 version I downloaded from msm8916.com and it's very stable for me. Actually I don't know what build of twrp is better for you given that you have a gprime with an identity crisis.

3.2.3 works perfectly for me but for some reason when i boot to recovery it shows this E: /sbin/postrecoveryboot.sh process ended with ERROR = 1 in the logs but other than that everything works as it should but im kinda worried about that postrecoveryboot.sh i tried everything i could i put it on read only and did a chmod to the file itself but that error still occurs, do you get the same error message or is it only my Grand prime thats suffering from identity crisis? lmao

Hi, no. The grandprimevelte variant is the SM-G531 model which, as I already said before, has a different SoC from the variants that I am supporting in this thread.

If your device/variant IS NOT listed on the FIRST post, then IT IS NOT SUPPORTED.
Is there any way that I may do testing for my varient, gprimelteusc?
It has the MSM8916 on it, but because what you've got the OS set to install on, I can't try it out because TWRP stops it before it can start flashing.

Well as I said before any variant not listed in the post is not supported. Every gprime variant has/needs specific features/blobs, so if you install a build specifically built for another variant you will end up experiencing big issues eventually.

That is why I'm asking if there is a way that I may be able to help you produce a build for my varient.

My varient has almost literally nothing custom (not even TWRP, had to use a different varient's build), and you are the only one I have found to be doing any sort of building for the Grand Prime (that is active).

I'll build for your device when I have time, I'll ask you some info about your device if I will need it. Thank you btw :)

i cant use dual sim at the same time but i can use sim only one
pls fix the sim problem iam crying pls fix it this is the major problem for me
pls pls pls pls fix it then it will be the best rom for this device
Lol jesus christ m8 calm down, I already saw some of your rants on other rom dead threads without giving any useful info to the (dead) developers.

First of all I ask you to test the rom well once and then write all the bugs only in 1 post.
Regarding the first issue I actually don't know what do you mean, maybe it's a LineageOS-related issue?

About the second issue I already explained why the navigation bar is here in a previous post (spoiler: it's because I want it).

About the third issue I sincerely don't know how to solve it, if you want you can follow the bug report guide on the first post and maybe I can find a way to fix it. Thanks.

there are no active developers for SMG531H rom development. Feeling sad! 😢
I feel you, unfortunately the g531 device has never been a widespread variant back then. Even the g530 variant is pretty much dead now. Android 12 is 64 bit only, which can't be built for gprime anymore...
Time to move on I guess! ;)

Hey, why not root? I can root it only with anther ROM?
Lol you can root your Android device anytime. There's a famous piece of code called "Magisk" that can help you doing that. I've simply chosen to do not include root in the build as some people don't want it. :)

Hi, could you try getting a logcat when trying to connect to the wifi network? Thank you
I have sent the logs to you in a private conversation because I don't know whether they contain sensitive information

Hey can you build one for SMG531H version? It is also called grandprimeve3g. I would want to be a tester for the ROM. You're doing a great job and I had a feeling you could help me out !

hope this thread works while building the ROM for SMG531H.
Hi, thank you but I already said many times back in this thread that the SM-G531 (H, F & maybe others) have a different chipset from the devices that I am supporting right now in this thread (which have the msm8916).
I will not put any effort into building a working rom for these devices as I don't own any device with a similar chipset. Sorry.

Hey, I don't mean to be a thorn in your side, but I was wondering when/if you need my help with a build for my varient of the Grand Prime, and how long it might take for you to finish said build if you are even going to work on it.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    ROM project Info:
This lineage-18.1 project comes with a SafetyNet fix that isn't part of the official AOSP code.

This is my little gift for the xda community! This is the work of months trying & building a decent rom for gprime. If you want to help, try things and tell me what doesn't work by filling the bug-report template down there! Thank you :)

++ you can also try my Q release here !++

I don't plan to release often for other models as I don't own a server to build multiple variants but only my PC with limited hdd capacity to compile this rom.

    Reporting bugs:
    • DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or if you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
    • Fill the following report template:
    Code:
Build date/Release version you downloaded/installed (the name of the .zip file):
    Device variant you are using:
    Gapps version (if using):

    Did you--
    wipe:
    restore with titanium backup:
    reboot after having the issue:

    Are you using--
    a task killer:
    a non-stock kernel:
    other modifications:

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:

    Thanks to:
    @SebaUbuntu, @itexpert.120, @DarkDroidDev, @vince2678, (and me @Gabboxl!)

    ROM Kernel: Linux 3.10.x

@Gabboxl You can fix the overheating issue by introducing Simple Thermal Driver by Sultan XDA. You can see the commits in my Lineage-17.1 Kernel.
