I also released new version of havocos with bt fix for karin and karin_windy.

I flashed havocos for karin_windy, interesting to me, especially the system integrated battery charge limit function. BT is also working.
Unfortunately, the system with magisk (and some setup I done before with LOS) cannot pass the CTS profile match, that's mean I cannot install Netflix with Google Play store, what a pity.

We have here selinux permessive, so that is one of the reason. But you can install magisk universal safetynet fix, I had cte test passed with that fix.

with LOS, I install safetynet-fix and MagiskHidePropsConf can pass the check, but HavocOS does not pass the check, which basic integrity is pass but CTS profile match is fail.

Edit: I passed CTS profile after I disabled adb debug function 😅

How to install:
1) use TWRP 3.5.0.
2) do factory reset (wipe)
3) Flash the firmware, nik,bit or flamegapps , magisk 21 and that’s it.
Change log:
20201206- initial build.

Last builds (mirror) are here.

Much thanks for making this. I'd love to breathe new life into my drearily slow Z4. But is there like a newbie guide for how to install?

I get stuck on the first step. I follow the Laar builds mirror link, looking for TWRP 3.5.0 and see there's four options to choose from, looking the same albeit with different dates. Is it just to pick a random of them?

Yeah, I checked it. I looked for "TWRP 3.5.0" and found four different files that matched the description, so is like a random of those four okay? I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean.

This firmware is so close to working perfectly for me, other than one significant issue. (I'm using the latest versions of TWRP and the LineageOS rom from alex009988's links.)

My sole problem is that the touch screen randomly either stops responding or, less frequently, seems to generate touches by itself in the wrong place on the screen. In either case, simply hitting the power button twice to cycle the screen off and back on again instantly fixes the problem and the screen returns to its normal functionality. (Note: I'm not rebooting the device, only toggling the screen off and on.)

The screen itself is a replacement and not the original one that shipped with the tablet, but it was taken from another brand-new tablet that I accidentally locked myself out of years ago and then held onto for spare parts, and the screen was tested extensively on Sony's stock firmware so I know for certain it exhibited no issues post-replacement on the stock firmware.

Has anybody else experienced anything like this with this ROM, and if so have you been able to fix it or found another ROM which resolves this issue? Failing that, does anyone have any advice for what I can try, or is there any log I can enable / check which might indicate why the touch screen becomes unresponsive?

I had this problem before. Screen replacemnt fixed it, it's hardware problem 99%.
By the way I decided to finished development 11 roms and will try to build android 12 roms. Before that I need to build new compatible twrp.

Hmm, thing is that it was tested extensively and working fine *after* the screen replacement on the original ROM. (Plus it's a known-good, genuine Sony screen taken from my own second tablet, which I accidentally locked myself out of with Sony's blasted protection.)

Good luck with the Android 12 rom!

и
boot.img
Загрузчик разблокирован?

...После того, как я наберу fastboot oem unlock 0x<вставьте свой код разблокировки в CMD, ничего не произойдет?...
Если код сотвествует - то операция завершится положительно. Если делать по инструкции, то риск ,,завалить зверка" отсуствует!

No. Tablet should be switched off you should connect to usb while only volume + is pressed and wait a few seconds.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, you are right, my mistake was that my tablet was on.

In the meantime I was able to get into fastbood mode via ADB, I think. The tablet is glowing blue in the corner but the screen is black, is this normal?

I followed the steps as in this guide: https://www.getdroidtips.com/download-adb/

First I typed "adb devices" and then "adb reboot bootloader". Up to this point, everything worked as described in the instructions. But when I typed "fastboot devices" the message "waiting for any device" appears.

I have attached a picture of the commands

I think you should use cmd instead of power shell. First check how the tablet is detected. Perhaps you need to install fastboot drivers.

I have the problem that I can not install drivers for the device to get into fastboot mode to load TWRP on it. Under Device Manager is written "S1Boot Fastboot" with exclamation mark and also "Android ADB Interface" (see picture).

Now I tried the following things to load the driver on it:

1) There is an ADB installer on the website:

2) Flashtool. But here I don't get further after the installation, a window opens, where I should enter a directory, but the message comes again and again although I set the given path (see picture).

3) Via Android Studio - SDK Master - SDK Tools - Google USB Driver.

4) Manually loading the drivers via Device Manager, as described here:

But none of these methods worked for me, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

One thing I do know is that I had rooted the device before and loaded LineageOS 14.1-20170804 unofficial-karin on it. How I did that with the drivers back then, I don't remember, because its been a while.

Hey I have a slight problem with the ROM. Everything else seems to work correctly but Wifi won’t work. I tried to install the Android 10 version of Pixel Experience Plus first but that caused USB not to work so I installed Android 11 following your instructions. I’ve now tried Android 11 Pixel Experience and am currently on LineageOS 18.1 with neither having working wifi.
Do you know if this is a problem with firmware and if there’s a way to fix this?

    There is Android 11 ROM for Xperia Tablet Z4.
    It's quite stable.
    Kernel sources
    What doesn't work:
    - when the tablet is off, during charging, the diode will always light red;
    - external SD Card as internal storage;
    - restart into recovery;
    - tablet encryption;
    - SELinux proper configuration for a proper security.
    How to install:
    1) use TWRP 3.5.0.
    2) do factory reset (wipe)
    3) Flash the firmware, nik,bit or flamegapps , magisk 21 and that’s it.
    Change log:

    Last builds (mirror) are here.

    We must be infinite grateful to sabar_op for his hard work in development of this rom and Bernie and Tarkzim who help to update kernel for kitakami devices. :good:.
