What's New for Next DotOS Update
Thanks @HeltonMaxIt may work, but you will have other problems especially with bluetoth and it may even not start because of the firmware since it is a ROM requirement that you be on firmware 9.0
Yeah I'm hoping for a fix on auto also. What rom did you move too?Good to know! And how about Phone application in Android Auto? Is it working properly already? I'm on different ROM now, can anybody confirm working AA so I could go back to dotOS?
Cool I'll check it out !Havoc, also by HeltoMax. Very nice rom, everything works like a charm. And looks like it is refreshed more often by Helton, than official dotOS.
Thanks for your response, is there a way i can flash this rom, after seeing all the comments i am really excited to flash this romLet me quote the very first post in this thread:
"ROM Firmware Required: ALBUS_PPS29.133-30_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml"
which is android 9.0, not 8.0.
Just guessing, but this might be the reason of your misery...
I have the same problem on my Oneplus 6T. Does anyone have any solutions?Tried to update via OTA but it says that this update cannot be installed over the current version.
My current version is the 5.1.1 (20210613) which I did a clean install as recommended.
Hey kontemp,First download proper firmware, then you can use script from here (second post from the top):
Proper firmware in case of this rom means Android 9.0, not 8.0.Hey kontemp,
what do you mean with "proper firmware", could you give me more details on that, please?
Greetings,
chrizzo
I don't have VoLTE working either, so - no suggestions on thathello @kontemp,
Thanks for your response and guide. I have successfully installed this ROM but i am not able to enable VoLTE, i can see LTE in my status bar but not able to make any calls using Volte.
Any suggestions.
All other options are really smooth.
@HeltonMax Kudos for your work..
Thanks for your reply!Proper firmware in case of this rom means Android 9.0, not 8.0.
Post #50 above says where to get it from.
i had same question, as in above comment (https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-11-motoz2play-dotos-5-1-official-20-07-2021-albus.4260441/post-85335271) when i was on Android 8 device was falling from boot. I presume as like Linux Os major kernel update are done in the version, so kernel should be same and no change in FS as well. but only thing that gets change is the GUI.Thanks for your reply!
In the meantime i managed to install Android 9.0 as Stock rom.
On 8.0 I always soft bricked my device when trying to install TWRP via fastboot. Do you think it is now possible to install TWRP without this issue?
If the ROM firmware of Android 9 is required for this custom rom to work, is it "fully" android 11 then? In other words, is the base still android 9?
@HeltonMax any plans on fixing Volte, that will be really great to have, or any Temp work around also should be great.hello @kontemp,

Stay in the previous version, the June patch broke some cameras by the Lineage OS soon the new build will be released@HeltonMax :
after last official update to 5.1.1 (download and flash via TWRP) CameraGo and OpenCamera stopped working. After flashing previous version - went back to normal.
from the next build this will be fixed,Installed the fix apk to update via OTA, but when tried to update it just booted to twrp and nothing happened.
