Good to know! And how about Phone application in Android Auto? Is it working properly already? I'm on different ROM now, can anybody confirm working AA so I could go back to dotOS?

It may work, but you will have other problems especially with bluetoth and it may even not start because of the firmware since it is a ROM requirement that you be on firmware 9.0

Luckily I was able to update to Pie then flash dotOs and it works quite stable over a week now. Google Pay works. Today I encountered problem with google camera app (installed from google play). It exits right after opening without any message. After few tries, I reboot system and then I found another problem. During reboot I got message that my data can't be decrypted because of corruption and that I need reset to default. To avoid resetting I reboot again and system starts normally. Are these known issues or did I mess something up while installing this ROM?

Yeah I'm hoping for a fix on auto also. What rom did you move too?

Havoc, also by HeltoMax. Very nice rom, everything works like a charm. And looks like it is refreshed more often by Helton, than official dotOS.

Hi Team,

Great work with rom and i really appreciate your effort and time spent, i tried to flash this rom and unfortunately brick my phone but lucky i have back up of stock firmware.

Device i am using moto z2 play x1710-10
recovery used twrp twrp-3.5.2_9-0 (didnt flash just booted the device with the recovery, that shouldn't be the problem)
Stock os version on the device before flashing is android 8.0
after flashing rom device boots into bootloder and says

``` start up failed````
```your device didnt start up sucessfully```
```use the software repair assistant on computer to repair your device.```
```connect to your device to your computer to get the software repair assistant```

```ap fastboot flash mode(secure)```
error: failed to load kernal!
fastboot reson: fall-through from normal boot mode

i did try different twrp recovery version but it failed to flash the rom it self
below is the error

which is android 9.0, not 8.0.

Just guessing, but this might be the reason of your misery...

Tried to update via OTA but it says that this update cannot be installed over the current version.
My current version is the 5.1.1 (20210613) which I did a clean install as recommended.

I thought encryption is suppose to work in this ROM but I can't even try because there is no button to encrypt in Security -> Encryption & credentials -> Encrypt phone. Even with fully charged battery and charger plugged. Why?

Edit: just to clarify: I'm obviously not trying to install the Moto Z2Play version on my phone, I'm just trying to install dotOS 5.1.2 over the Update page in the settings.

Any suggestions.

All other options are really smooth.

Proper firmware in case of this rom means Android 9.0, not 8.0.

I don't have VoLTE working either, so - no suggestions on that

i had same question, as in above comment (https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-11-motoz2play-dotos-5-1-official-20-07-2021-albus.4260441/post-85335271) when i was on Android 8 device was falling from boot. I presume as like Linux Os major kernel update are done in the version, so kernel should be same and no change in FS as well. but only thing that gets change is the GUI.

@HeltonMax any plans on fixing Volte, that will be really great to have, or any Temp work around also should be great.

i may sound little greedy, but you know when on phone call data doesn't work.
